I hope he turns pro now that he has the Gold medal, This guy has all the potential in the world to become a great pro fighter.
Yeah I agree he was probably the most impressive fighter in the whole tournament. His combinations were good, his defense was good and it seemed like his power was pretty decent as he hurt that French guy in the gold medal match a few times and earned three standing eight counts in the first round to get the gold. With him being at 125 he could be figuring into that FW, SFW mix in a few year. I hope he turns pro immediately too. I think he would just be wasting his time in the am's at this point.
He's fucking awesome, put him in my sig. Can't wait to see if he goes pro, he has the speed , power(that knockdown in his 2nd fight was perfect) and the intelligence to make it a long way.
There was a ukrainian heavyweight fighter i saw a few days back called Aliksander Usyk. He looked amazing in the fight i saw. any idea if he's still in it?
He's out, he lost to Clemente Russo, reigning world champion from Italy in the quarterfinals.

the commentators mentioned that he'd boxed in the Klitschko's amatuer tournaments and they have recently been signing up ukrianian fighters like WBA interim welterweight champion Yuriy Nuzhnenko and Sergey Fedchenko. so i wouldnt be surprised to see him sign with K2 East after the olympics.
To say i was impress with him is an understatement, I really hope he turns pro after the olympics, I really cant wait to see him in the pro game.
It would be interesting to see how well he does as a professional because his amateur game is really very good, I think he has to be the favorite in his weight division to win gold right now.
He is one of my favorites in the Olympics, brilliant to watch.
