I am not delusional about Algieri and I am not delusional about Broner either. In Broner's last 3 fights, I seen him pretty much get beat down against a B- to maybe a B level fighter and I seen him struggle against 2 C level fighters. Broner hasn't preformed good at these upper weight classes at all. I see Broner being a pretty winnable fight for Algieri.
I really want to see this fight get made. Who you guys think will win this fight?
I guess this would be a good comeback fight for Bradley, since he is coming off a loss to Pac, as a tune-up. Other then that, Porter really doesn't offer much to Bradley. A better fight for Bradley would be with Brook, since he holds a belt, but I don't see Brook wanting anything to do with that fight. Maybe when Khan takes Brook's belt, we can finally get the Khan vs Bradley fight.
No TR has a great reputation for matchmaking. Gamboa is the exception. They were ****ing him over with that Rios fight. He could have won it though. Gamboa also has himself to blame.
How are you screwing someone over buy putting them in with someone that they probably can beat? To top it off, Gamboa would have gotten paid a career high. I agree, he stood a good chance of beating Rios, then he could have probably went on to fight Manny for another career high.
Where Gamboa get screwed is that he listened to bums like the Mayweathers, who gave him horrible advice. Their only concern is for themselves. Since Gamboa has been in there with 50 cents, he has only had a couple of fights in the last 2 to 2 1/2 years. He hasn't been busy at all then they throw him in there a tough fight with Crawford. After not fighting hardly the last couple of years, then being thrown in a tough fight, that is like seaside. Gamboa was stupid. He pretty much through his career away as soon as he signed with 50 cents.
So the fact that Martinez was moving around 100% fine until he got clipped by the left hook had no effect on his legs turning to jelly? Lol, just an excuse.
I just seen an interview a few weeks ago with Sergio and they asked about his knee in that fight. Basically they were trying to get him to say that the only reason Cotto beat him, was because of his knee. Just like right after they fight, Sergio came out and said that there was nothing wrong with his legs and Cotto caught him with a good punch that he never recovered from. Sergio could have took the easy way out and went along with the garbage knee excuse, but he didn't. I have a lot of respect for him for telling the truth instead of coming up with a bunch of BS excuses. I have a lot of respect for Sergio now. He is a real stand up person.
honestly, with all the money going to Floyd and Manny, dont expect anything for the undercard...they might as well just pay some midgets to wrestle
After they pay Floyd and Manny, the midget wrestling would be 100 times better then anything they could afford to put on the undercard.
Tyson for sure. The reason why I say that is because, lets say you go stand in front of one of your local stores (grocery store or whatever) and you ask everyone that comes in, if they know who Roy Jones Jr. is, you will find a huge percentage of people will have no idea who he is. If you ask those same people who Mike Tyson is, there will be a high percentage of people that know who he is.
Bradley isn't anywhere near as talented as Mayweather/Pacquiao to be fighting bigger fighters like Cotto.
If Bradley was going up against GGG, I would agree with you. Seeing how it is Cotto that they are looking at, I don't have that much of a problem with that. Cotto is nothing more then an overinflated welter weight.
The ad itself, I found to be kind of corny. I am not a fan of Haymon at all, but putting boxing back on network TV is a good thing. The only sport I like is boxing, so I am glad to see it being put out there again so more people have access to it.
Even if I wasn't a fan of pac, I would probably still not like floyd.
Just saying...
I know for sure I wouldn't. I never liked Floyd from the very beginning. His fighting style bores the hell out of me.
well its always floyd fans, but these khan fans are creeping on that spot;
It was kind of a hard choice for me between Floyd and Khan fans. I admit, there are a lot of bad Pac fans, but you can always count on sever Floyd fans coming along and making the Pac fans like "Rocket Scientist". Now it seems like there is a bunch of Khan fans are trying to be like Floyd fans.
If Molina is able to land that over hand right it well force Broner to open up more and take bigger risk to back Molina off. If Molina doesn't show Broner that power his going to get counter to death.
I got The Ghost beating Thurman. If he manages to work himself inside his going to smother Thurman and frustrate him. Thurmans power is way overrated and he doesn't have enough experience at the top level so I well give Ghost a better chance to win this fight.
Either way it should be an interesting night of boxing and I can't wait for it
I pretty much agree with that. I think Thurman's lack of experience is really going to hurt him in this fight.
Or maybe Tyson wants the huge paycheck? I love how you guys ignore the fact that Tyson also said "No one beats Mayweather in a clean fight."
No one ever said that Tyson was a clean fighter. :boxing:
I think there is enough people out right around Broner's weight class who would give him a beat down. I really don't thing we need to find people in an even higher weight classes who would do it.
It would have been the same. Now if they have a rematch, I think it will a much closer fight. Not that I think that Cotto is all the sudden a much better fighter now. Unlike Maidana, Cotto is a much better fighter who has the ability to adjust.
Pretty sure Mayweather would fight Khan over Cotto. Cotto/Alvarez is no longer a threat to his date, but Pacquaio/Khan would happen if he fought Cotto.
Exactly!!!
Khan will also be the easiest to negotiate with. Floyd will be able to just throw any offer he wants and Khan will be crapping his pants while he is signing his name on the dotted line.
Cotto's a PPV guy, and Floyd probably needs that level of draw to go up against Canelo on regular HBO. The implication being Cotto is a bigger draw than Khan in the US.
Having said that, Cotto's team don't seem to be going for it but then they haven't named an alternative either which means they could be hanging around for it.
Showtime will try to push the Cotto fight, because there is bigger money in it, but Floyd will go after the Khan fight. His number 1 reason for doing that, will be just to make sure that Manny doesn't have an opponent, so he will be stuck fighting someone like Vargas. Not only that, if Floyd fights Cotto and Pac fights Khan, Pac will get way more credit for his fight them Floyd will for his. The critics will be all over Floyd. They will say that Floyd ducked not only Manny, but they will say he ducked Khan also and took a soft fight with Cotto, with whom, he has already beat in a "one sided" fight once before.
It will be at least $100. No I won't pay it, but there are a lot of people out there that have more money then brains, who will end up paying for it. Most of which will buy it just so they can say they did.
