First off, he hasnt really beat anyone, ever. He beat a fading Alvarado. Thats his best win, by a long shot and its not exactly something top boxers would strive to put on their resume.
He doesn't hit as hard as people are trying to say. His ko% is 63%
He never faces big punches and continuously gets his face busted up.
His stamina is ****.
Even in the early rds he only unloads in spots and by mid fight he generally is just reduced to following his opponent around throwing a punch here and there.
Overrated. Everything about him.
Its funny how when people on NSB cant handle differing opinions they shake it off and call it nuthuggin.
When in fact ive always thought Provo was garbage.
matthysse didn't have him rocking around a ring, i can assure you.
fighters have bias. that fight was close, and tim wants to minimize the idea that he was badly hurt.
provodnikov gave bradley a concussion. he hit him with a right hand square on the face, and bradley remembered little after that. provodnikov hit him so hard he stood there and brawled and got something taken out of him for good.
Oh?Did u witness them sparring?Bradley seemed to have a very healthy respect for Matthysse in his interview,he sed Matthysse sparred with l8oz gloves on and that every punch stil hurt despite the 18oz'ers and that it was'nt a full on sparring match. Anyways im sure both hit hard,i favour my boy Matthysse but no way is it a sure thing,Provodnikov seems a tough one alright, really looking forward to the fight.

Provodnikov is a testament to how overrated KO percentages can be.
Thats not true,Bradley is on record as saying Matthysse hits harder than Provodnikov.

Ive compared the two before in a previous post but the way I see it is, after Lucas got dropped by Molina he knows he isnt invincible, and if he isnt careful he could be following in big bro Walters footsteps so this is how it most likely goes
Lucas fights;
1. Safe hoping Provo cuts and the doc waves it off
2. Safe but fights on the outside catching the one dimensional Provo to a 12rd UD
3. To war and gets stopped in a sad career ending fashion.
Provo is one of those neanderthal kindof guys who can just take punishment all day long but kill you in the process, Tim Bradley has sparred and fought both and says Provodnikov hits the hardest, even more than Pac.
Thats not true,Bradley is on record as saying Matthysse hits harder than Provodnikov.
So I suppose Matty deserves no credit if he beats him, and Prov should not count as a credible opponent on Matts resume.
the win will magically become legitimate, and danny will be ducking lucas
I know what that sounds like. I get it; that's reductive.
But I've been thinking about this. If Lucas had all this power and boxing skills to dominate B+ guys, how come he doesn't? I think the Devon, Zab, and DSG fights were close, but other guys didn't leave a doubt beating Devon and Zab. As far as DSG and the eye thing, that's a tough break. But he still hit DSG with his best punches and DSG did not fold.
All I am saying is that it can't be all coincidence that he can't seem to put it all together when it truly matters--for various reasons, fair or unfair. So, I don't see why he's supposed to run over Ruslan. Maybe he does (as he should given his power and boxing), but I am not confident nor should be.
Trust me, I wanted Lucas to be great but he hasn't really proven it.
This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i like matthysse, and think he is the better fighter, but i will be seriously overjoyed if he's stopped. that will infuriate some of the hysterical lucas nuthuggers.
let's also add that the true scope of teh matthysse nutthuggery came after he stopped mike dallas JR.
really.
Why do certain Matthysse fans have to be so obnoxious? I swear some of you are worse than flomos.
This is why I clown them. I actually like Matthysse but his fanboys on here are unbearable.
Yes because Matthyse is such a good boxer. If he was anything close to a decent boxer he wouldve stopped both alexander and judah, who have been hurt, dropped, and in the case of judah, stopped by far weaker men.
garcia didnt stop judah, devon's only lost a non-decision once and it was due a cut/headbutt
stop acting like those two guys get knocked out by everybody
everyone knows that good boxers can nullify power, stop being a fegt
So I suppose Matty deserves no credit if he beats him, and Prov should not count as a credible opponent on Matts resume.
So then if Matt beats him, I don't want to see you mention Prov as a top win for Matt.

What does it matter, you clearly think it should be. Provo is a FNF type fighter. Yo have me confused with someone who plays games and dick rides. I call it like I see it.
Ruslan is one tough man
Styles makes fights
Lucas style won't be the one to beat ruslan
They are gonna be exchanging and Ruslan wins in a firefight
But da machine knows his stuff . I see where he's coming from. He thinks Lucas can take more and Ruslan cuts real easy. But I think Ruslan has a better chin
Lucas got damaged in the Garcia fight. Wasn't the same in the Molina fight.
I don't think Ruslan properly trained for algeiri.
and btw, i read in another post that the devon fight was close, not at all. lucas won 7 to 3 with a KD and one can make a case for a 10/8 round in the seven where alexander barely threw anything and got beaten up badly.
tough fight for both. lucas hasn't face a pressure fighter like provo, and i don't think provo has face a puncher like lucas. due to his skills i think lucas should be favorite. if provo decides to stop every punch with his face, like normally do, it wont last long, you can't afford to do that vs lucas
Why do certain Matthysse fans have to be so obnoxious? I swear some of you are worse than flomos.
they aren't all the same, not even the majority. but threads like this one attracts the trolls like hans.
