I asked this question a few pages back - does Haymon have the rights to that footage?
It normally belongs to the promoter, which would mean it's all Oscar's.
Good Point.
I thought it was a commercial for some cheap liquor or cologne at first... Meh, it's a bit tacky but they might not have much to work with in terms of footage to put together a nice highlight reel for each individual fighter. I'm sure it will improve once they have a few fights in and they can actually string together a nice sequence of shots to exhibit their fighters best attributes.
A guy wishing death on another human being on the internet is a troll. It's what trolls do. And the other guy with 70 posts, whose brief history of intigating its not someone id worry about. I'd only be concerned if actual serious posters were saying these type of things. Otherwise Im not gonna get worked over these people, and neither should you.
I don't. Definitely won't see me running up in a thread asking who said what like I'm sore. And whether you like to admit it or not, there are quite a few people, trolls and non trolls, who want to see this fail because it's Haymon. And any sensible person knows this. Others want those posters ID'ed? Idk.
Yeah most aren't even that blatant but I don't know how you can ask a dumb question like Sleepless did when you can clearly see posts like the one you quoted. Actually I do know why he would ask that dumb question. It's when that burn hits your soul and you're feeling sore.

Ah, fair enough then. I'm happy to see though it's just two borderline trolls who are not at all representative of most people here.
Fair points. I was reading the other threads as well.
No I like him because he has secured 11 cards on network ****ing tv.
Wow we have a few competitive fights on network and you pop a boner, don't blame u doe, in the past 5 or so years Haymon's been feeding BS fights and over protecting his fighters, it's not surprised that your standards have been lowered so much to see competitive fights as a major deal.
And yeah if we keep getting these competitive fights on NBC I'll give Haymon credit, but I worry that we might get more Salka type fighters when one of his stars has an off night.
If he doesn't, they can pay for the right to use it. Happens all the time.
Would the promoter have to agree to release the footage?
Might Oscar not be willing to release the footage?
I thought it was cool, but they arent movie stars. They're boxers, instead of showing them walking on some red carpet they shouldve shown one KO of each person, what else is gonna attract casual fans?
They most likely don't have the rights to show that

Least there are more responses that want to see it succeed and are happy about finally getting better matches on tv.

I was agreeing with you, why are you so upset? These boxing matches are more than one event which is stupid by Al Haymon. He should have just made one event for network TV. No one wants to be on network TV anymore. Even The Tonight Show wants to move to cable.
Looks like crap. Fights are ok, not great. They will get crap again like usual. Haymon is bad for boxing, just a puppet for paper champs.
Why is Garcia Peterson at a catchweight with no titles on the line? Haymon corruption. Why was all his cards last year dog crap? Haymon will ruin boxing. Thankfully, this whole thing is going to fail.
It would be great if Haymon and his family was killed in a robbery.
Other than Thurman, they are all bums. That is the problem with Haymon and these fights, he will just shovel garbage and this is why it will fail.
Danny is a bum who cannot even make weight, yet is headlining a fight? Haymon's greed will be the reason this cannot possibly succeed. It will fail spectacularly.
ANd its good boxing is back on network TV? I think it's two decades too late, as no one fugging watches network TV anymore. Welcome to freaking 2015, you know, the year where people watch Netflix, not fugging network TV.
Network TV is dying, has been for years. The average age of network TV viewers is over 60 fugging years old. No one gives a crap about it, Haymon is an idiot.
I agree. That's why the Superbowl was on netflix this year and not on network TV. Al Haymon is an idiot.
Who here in this thread wishes it to fail? Link to the person and post.
See above.
