sounds like anecdotal evidence. why arent people going to his fights or buying them?
People are going to his fights, and his last fight did over 1 million on Showtime which is subscription based and you have to pay for. Showtime isn't free tv. Anthony Joshua came here and got called Anthony Johnson
Joshua is going to come in and take his head off within 2 and a half rounds. I hate to sound like a hater but I can't stand fat heavyweights. Like dude, I can understand being a little overweight but you're a boxer, and it just looks tacky af to me. Shows a lack of discipline in a division where you must be focused at all times.
I could understand people thinking manny won, but people thinking the fight wasn't close are delusional. I think Manny took him lightly and the fight ended up being too close for comfort. I always say i'm glad Manny got robbed, because he was refusing to fight Crawford. Arum robbed him because of that.
Leave Bradley alone already. He's already gone from the sport and he's no longer making noise about how he beat Pac 1st time around.
Bradley is a softee, don't feel sorry for him at all.
Instead of taking it in, using it as motivation to build the fight, he became a cry baby. God I can't stand him.
Keiths is like Gladiator from Marvel, his ability in the ring and how well he will do is typically tied to his confidence. I think he'll win clear, not because Manny is bad, but because Manny is 40.
He's going to talk a lot of crap, get in the ring and move, and frustrate manny into counters.
No it did less than a mil and less than both Stiverne fights. His viewing figures haven't increased.
Even so , 950,000 on a paid subscription + app is still very good. Are you from America? Showtime isn't regular free tv like fox. Plus i'm pretty sure the NBA finals and analysis was going on around the same time and the viewers didn't even get to build due to the knockout.
This, there's no excuse for looking like a pudding in the ring. Look at Fury two years ago, don't tell me they cant shift that weight.
Yep. I can understand Fury, he's 6'9. A guy that tall can only be so big, but Fury is quick, agile, boxes beautifully and isn't just fat. I mean guys like Miller, Kownacki, Ruiz, Arreola, and so on.
Himself, because he could have won those fights if he was focused.
No he wouldn't have. I hate this notion that Broner is some amazing boxer that just loses focus. He's a very basic fighter that got away with it early on by being bigger and more athletic. He's a stupid fighter in the ring that relied on athleticism. Even if he tried his best he still loses those fights. He is who he is.
People really underestimate how popular Deontay Wilder is. People around me know I like boxing and they always say "man you see that Wilder dude".
Wilder is pretty damned popular in real life. So it's hard to say

Remember she did an interview in a tight dress..woo-wee..and she got her teeth fixed and looks a LOT better
I disagree. Manny wins then he either fights Spence or Floyd next. I assume Spence but if this fight were to somehow do north of 600k PPV's (I predict 400-450k) and Manny wins then my guess is Floyd comes back because that would project the rematch would sell enough so Floyd can make his 9 figure payday.
A Manny win would make him at least another $50 mil as either the A side to Spence or the B side to Floyd.
If Floyd comes out of retirement for that fight. I will go out of my way to give everybody free streams (allegedly) so they don't have to pay for that B/S.
i like Williams but I thought Hurd would win by TKO or knockout. I forgot to vote and after thr fight I made my vote on what I thought would happen before the fight.
Not interested in seeing it. If it was close, maybe. J-Rock can hurt Hurd so the second fight would probably be even wider because he'd be able to mix it up even more. Hurd should move up to 160.
TS makes a good point although I think Spence/Manny or Crawford/Manny would've been more of a "passing of the torch" fight since most think those 2 would destroy Manny easily.
I think a lot of people saw Thurman's last fight and are giving Manny a real shot to beat Thurman in July to set up a 3 belt unification fight with the winner of Spence/Porter.
I don't think if Manny won he would do that, I think he would retire and ride out into the sunset unless they paid him north of 60 million + percentages to fight Spence(i'm assuming he beats Porter)
Couldn't hear it clearly. I'll see if I can find a vid. Edit, NVM. All I can find is 500 a$$holes thinking I care about their reaction vids....
Oh, found one! The timing is off but you can hear, it really does sound like dropping a wet bag of sand on the ground.
I honestly think he broke his jaw
Man he's a great boxer..but people already putting him ahead of Crawford on the p4p list just cause they don't like it.
It's like when people were putting people ahead of Ward in favor of Chocolatito.
This is why I look at Spence with a side eye. Your friends are a reflection of you. It's not even that Broner and Davis are laid back, they're dumb as a rock. Plus i've seen Spence balloon up in weight.
I think anywhere from 450 k to 600 k.
Thurman can talk up the fight and is a great crap talker so probably more than that if it's marketed right.
Considering Spence/Garcia just did 400 buys, If they do under 400k that would be a failure honestly.
Actually he wouldn't.
I do think he would destroy other past heavyweights though, just not a prime tyson heck no, I love wilder though.
He'd kill someone like Ken Norton and Shavers though.
Wilder has skilled. Hear me out, just view him as how older cuban fighters use to fight. No he doesn't have the great footwork, but he has extreme accuracy, timing and discipline when setting up the right hand. His game is setting up the right hand similarly with old Cubans and their left hand. He has a bit of Tommy Hearns in him in the fact that you know that his right hand is coming but he sets it up perfectly just about every single time.
A guy whether you like him or not is not just going to be landing the same punch over and over again without some level of skill or technique.
I actually think Leo would beat him honestly, so i don't get why he ducks Gary. Gary is a good fighter but he can be timed and beat. I really don't get why he's calling out Davis. I would root for him heavily over Gervonta, but Davis would knock him out easily.
... man... after Maidana he ducked the likes of Brook, Khan and even Porter... in order to fight Berto...
Bingo, and if you really think about it. Floyd had been trying to set up the Berto fight all along.
Berto vs Guererro
Berto vs Ortiz.
I think Floyd expected Berto to win, so he basically spent three fight cycles trying to throw an alley oop to his boy Berto.
I honestly don't think he did. This is why you can't bullrush people in higher weight divisions. J-Rock has above average pop for his division. You can't just walk through everybody in those higher divisions man. I thought Hurd would stop J-Rock, but man oh man.
Don't feel sorry for Jacobs. The dude didn't do anything for the first 5 rounds really. I'm not about to cry for a dude who lost clearly and didn't care enough to give a good account of himself.
