It didn’t look like the same Hurd that fought Lara, he looked tired early and that’s his biggest attribute his endurance and durability and he paid the price
Give Williams his props. He took it to undefeated p4per hurd from the first bell. Not only that but the guy has class. No gloating at all. Showed respect to hurd and his momma. Hes an al round decent sportsman.
He also made a good point last night. Fans and media need to stop writing fighters off after a loss. I've not seen a single j rock post on here since his charlo loss but before that everyone was saying he was the truth. That charlo shot was an unbelievable punch, i mean it was some counter uppercut type stuff. Not only that but Charlo is so unlikeble. His behaviour after he ko Williams was embarrassing, was almost like the peds was busting outta him running around and screaming like some looney high on crack.
Williams was ko but he still had the humility to get off his stool and go to offer charlo thanks and charlo just try to start some trouble or something. That's some of the lowest sportsmanship Ive ever seen.
The icing on the cake now would be if J Rock rematches charlo, ko's him and then offers the hungry young lion a cuddle when he brakes down and cries. Coz, we already know from his bro that these so-called lions be crying like simba when they get their asses handed to them.
NO, J Rock and Breadman had the right Gameplan for him. Also Philly Fighters usually have strong inside games so Hurd couldn't win the inside battle at all. J Rock was tearing him apart on the inside and did a beautiful job turning him
Props to the Virginia Refs they really let fighters fight out and work on the inside and they stay out of the way. That is what made the fight a good fight IMO by letting them WORK!
Nah I don't think so. He took Williams as seriously as he does all his opponents. The difference is Williams is strong inside due to his Philly schooling and wasn't going to be bullied around. He also was doing well going to the body from the onset of the fight.
You know what's sad is compubox or punch counters. Williams was investing in the body all fight and by the 7th round I remember them showing the stats saying Jrock only landed 15 body shots the entire fight. What a joke
Nonsense. Jrock took him to war and snatched those belts from the lions jaw. maybe Hurd was shocked that Jrock wasn't boxing him and dominating him inside. Hurd came in A1 shape and conditioning its just that Jrock executed a masterpiece. He was in a zone that night.

LOl Hurd is one of the worst technical boxers I have seen who is a t the top.
Dood relies on taking punches to land his own. That English dood was out boxing the **** our of Hurd..
Hurd was is and will remain so incredibly overrated I cannot have mercy on anybody's sole for spreading such propaganda
I honestly don't think he did. This is why you can't bullrush people in higher weight divisions. J-Rock has above average pop for his division. You can't just walk through everybody in those higher divisions man. I thought Hurd would stop J-Rock, but man oh man.
The body shots and the drastic weight cut. His punches were mostly slaps rather than the thuding blows he was landing on other opponents.
It's still not an excuse though. Williams was prepared, had a game plan, and in excellent shape.
Agreed, I'm becoming more and more in favour of something being done about this. Kinda think the only way something gets done is if we have a high profile boxer have a life changing situation from a bad weight-cut. The sport is very slow with evolving.
30 years ago if guys took off that much weight to stay in a division where they do not belong they would collapse by around the 5th round. they got to have some drug that allows them to shed 3 divisions of weight and stay strong enough to go the distance
hurd did not take Williams lightly he took him heavily and looked at least 20 lbs heavier. they gotta do something about the epidemic of big guys fighting little guys claiming they are same weight.

Well when you're cutting like 36lbs just to make 154 then maybe, just maybe it isn't the fact he lacked endurance and durability. It 100% has something to do with the weight-cut, you can only get away with that sorta crap for so long, he should move to 160-168, but doing so might expose him, he might not be as good as you think he is.
I dont think he’s good at all but his success comes from his ability to take his opponents best punches for 6/7 rnds until they’re tired of swinging
