How? It was a 3 fight deal. If he took it it wouldve been breazeale while AJ fought miller/Ruiz and then the 2 fights. If Wilder took the deal he wouldnt have gotten the next immediate payday vs AJ since Ruiz just upset him. Not sure how the deal wouldve worked then
It went down the drain.
Wilder could have lost to AJ, but still could have gotten his retirement payday.
And now AJ is focused on the Ruiz rematch, then nobody knows what happens next.
Who knows, a trilogy might happen, or if he loses again,
it would just emphasize the massive loss of pay the greedy ones got.
No he just became undisputed if Ruiz holds the belt past a rematch if its claused it (still cant be sure aafter mcguigan forgot one on framptons lsc 2 lol) as Ruiz deals with Al Haymon, right?
This is going to be entertaining watching the fallout from this... AJ-Wilder will still make a lot of money, and I think Wilder will KTFO AJ soon as he lands. That showing will have given Wilder and his team all of the confidence they need.
He waited to long and played himself
They both played themselves, AJ and Wilder were showing too much vulnerabilities to be marinating that fight for so long.
While AJ seems in good spirit, Hearn seems to be PISSED!
P.S.: Add Ortiz to the "played himself" category, he'd be champion tonight!
Lmao so because he got knocked out in a fight he was supposed to look good in and win comfortably; it's Wilder's fault?
Huh not at all. He should of fought AJ for that big payday that he said wasn't enough. Now there's no demand.
I don't think he's crying...maybe wishing HE got the opportunity to starch AJ, but not crying..he's got a rematch with Ortiz which he needs to watch out for and a money rematch with the real HW champion Fury.
