I also want Calzaghe to go away. I can't stand his fans who jump the gun on almost everything...Its crazy
a BHOP and a Mayweather fan?.....damn I forgot them type of fans never stick up for their boxers:pat:
Id like to see it happen (Although I want 'Zaghe to retire)
I think BHop would change his style alot more for this fight, he'd be alot more agressive.
I see it going the distance and ending up being a split decision 'Zaghe's way
a Knockout is not on the card for this fight at all.
I don't see Jones flooring 'Zaghe in the first round though lmao, after the Hopkins fight I see 'Zaghe being alot more cautious with his movement, this might make his style change alot more which could be dangerous for him.
I hope 'Zaghe wins and will be supporting him all the way, but whatever the outcome as long as its a good boxing fight thats all that matters
This is true.
Our media hypes and then brutalises all our sports stars. They'll leave Khan alone because he is a 21 year old, in fact I barely read a word about his loss in the papers.
The Khan hype has done alot of good things for British boxing, a lot of good things. Certainly one of the most important British boxers of the last decade despite probably not being able to cut it.
He: 1./Got boxing back on terrestrial television
2./ Brought wider focus to boxing in general, Calzaghe was screen on terrestrial TV-one sports personality of the year, Haye, Maccarinelli, Witter, Mitchell have also appeared.
3./ Increased funding through the lottery to amateur boxing
Not sure any of this shit is possible without Khan. He is a nationwide darling in his own right and a boxer, that's a good thing.
New to boxing are you?
Calzaghe/Hatton had been drawing in alot of viewers when his fights were aired on ITV way before Khan was around lol.
As a matter of fact the fights that are shown on Skysports everyweek have alot of viewers (way before Khan also)
This just proves how some people believe the papers too much, the Khan hype has clearly gotten to you and you now believe that he is some type of messiah to the sport, Khan has done nothing for british boxing and nothing for british viewing.
I agree to some point that Khan has given boxing a sense of rebirth in the media world bust as far as on television....thats ridiculous.
Boxing has been a major sport in Britain for years, step you boxing knowledge up.
Can I just point out a few factors:
1: Macca's Level of opposition so far....
He has beaten NOBODY of WORTH at EURO LEVEL or WORLD LEVEL.
2. Macca's best win was over an INACTIVE tired Braithwaite who has lost 3 of his last 4.
Also one of these defeats was a KO LOSS to Mormeck.
An old inactive Braithwaite gave Macca all he could handle for 12 rounds ....Macca was blowing like an old man too.
How will he cope with a very active YOUNG 27 yr old Haye who also happens to have a decent Amateur career?
3. Macca was spanked by Lee Swaby...
Haye's big loss was to a SOLID VETERAN Carl "The Cat" Thompson who was renowned for taking heavy punishment and coming back strong and he was out on his feet back then ....NEVER KO'ed and very Inexperienced.
4. Back to level of opposition.
Haye has sparked out Gurov for the Euro title and Mormeck for the GENUINE WORLD TITLE.
He also moved up and wasted Bonin inside a round....a guy who Fraudley Harrison struggled with for 9 rounds and got a very dubious stoppage.
Haye stopped this guy legit.
So far Haye is Proven.
Macca is nothing close.
He is lucky that the Brit factor is there!
are you kidding me? Enzo has little respect as it is, he deserves a lot more, I'm still curious as to why you think David Haye is so good? his power is very strong however his defence is awful, his chin is also weak, so with a weak chin and bad defence ans going up against a powerful boxer like enzo? come on....
