I have heard some about thi snew game coming out in 2009. it has some 40 plus fighters in the game and for the first time ever it has Mike tyson. I was wondering has anyone else heard much about the game? If so what fighters are being included? I know in their last installment they left out Lennox Lewis, Holyfield just to name two that come to mind. I don't remeber seeing Chavez or Holmes either.....Why isn't Tommy Hearns ever in the games?....Lefty
tito trinidad, cotto, cintron, P will, margarito, JMM, Mayorga, Mosley, Judah, Clottey, israel vazques, pavlik, calzaghe, Floyd Mayweather, Calderon, Klitsko, Valuev, Juan Guzman, Andre Berto, Collazo does are just some but theres many more current boxers that should be in the game
They are going to have 40 fighters for all the weight classes......You have Feather Weight, Light weight, Welter Weight, Middle Weight, Light Heavy Weight and heavy Weight that is about 8 fighters per weight class as yo uknow some fighters are qulified for multiple weight classes.....What they should do is put codes in to unlock fighters or patches for online play so you can maybe pay for an upgrade somewehre down the line and sort of like Madden roster updates you can get fighter updates new boxers. I know for PS3 they had a patch for Holyfield......As for the online play they have to make some sort of gym you can jopin like a club and schedule fight cards between yours and other clubs........Get rankings online and you can challenge for the title........Lefty
yeah i think they did actually, but didnt do chin... Pacman had like 95 chin and could could take Frazier's best shot and laugh
In the ps2 version he couldn't, he had like 70 chin and took a lot of damage, the flash knockdown chance was also a lot higher.
I just hope Floyd is in Round 4. They need to make him the most difficult man to beat.
Floyd has been in 2 of the fight night series..
He may not be in this though cuz his retired..
Nah mate you didn't see any gameplay becuase absolutely no gameplay footage has been release so unless you're some kind of EA insider then you are just lieing
I like the KO Kings too they had the signature punch and I thought the career mode was better back then...it was a upgrade from Evanders Real Deal Boxing for genisis.......FN series is getting better they just need the fans to give them input and see what they can truely do in the virtual world to come as close to the boxing as they can and I think they have come along way from Mike tyson's punch out and the days of the old arcade games with the see through green guy.......Lefty
Yeh i agree..
Mike Tyson's punchout got the ball rollin on the boxing games
I never played Evander holyfields real deal boxing...
Ko series was great there was also a HBO boxing game for the original ps 1
which was a wicked game...
The worse are
Mike Tysons boxing for the ps2 that was proper awful
and Naseem hameds boxing one for the bin
The knockout kings series was better.
Obviously not for graphics or game play

I believe they had done this in FN R3....If you make a created Champ for use in play now and he was a power guy and you rated him say 100 power and 88 speed when you loo at the rating screen in play now he would maintain his power rating of 100 but his speed rating would drop down to say 59....Lefty

head and body should have separate damage meters
heavier weights have substantially higher damage and chin, while smaller weights have higher speed

Anyone got any screen shots or anything?
Here is what I found on Wikipedia,
Fight Night Round 4 is a boxing video game developed by EA Sports. It is the sequel to EA Sports' previous boxing title, Fight Night Round 3, which was released in 2006. Round 4 is expected to be released in 2009 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Confirmed fighters include Muhammad Ali, Ronald "Winky" Wright, "Sugar" Ray Leonard, Lennox Lewis and "Iron" Mike Tyson, making his Fight Night debut.
A video on YouTube posted by one of the developers revealed an early render of Mike Tyson in his early years. His current apperance will also be used as well.
