Not because I want to see you retire undefeated or you've accomplished everything you could. I just can't stand listening to you or watching you fight.
I'm a big Joe fan but I must say that his showboating pissed me off a bit. I know he and Roy have a lot of mutual respect and he did give full props to Roy after the fight and admitted that he was stunned in the first, which incidentally is the first time I've heard Joe say that. I fully understand that RJJ has done more than his fair share of showboating in the past, which may lead to some people saying that he deserves to be given a taste of his own medicine.
I however would disagree. I thought after I had finished watching the fight that maybe it would have been refreshing for Joe to have given Jones the respect he deserves, as a boxer who has achieved more than most fighters have in their careers and probably more than Joe, in the first 10 years of his.
Jones' legacy will probably go down as one of the greatest of all time, and certainly one of the best of my generation.
Joe is arguably the best ever to have come from Great Britain, and I don't think personally that his resume is flawed. Sure he's fought some poor fighters but so have a lot of great fighters and he only has Frank Warren to thank for that.
Ultimately this was an exhibition in which two formerly great world champions made a lot of money from what could be their last fight. This fight should have been a celebration of both fighters, and probably should have been stopped on cuts in the 7th, I think Joe dancing around Roy at the end was uncalled for, and was a little below the belt. It would be a shame if Calzaghe were to be remembered like that.
Thank you!! This is why I started this thread.

Come on now i know there are people who like Joe but most dont as he he is not of a certain ethnicity which is the truth.FACT!
They may be true for some but not for everyone. Ricky Hatton is one of my favorite fighters. I'm rooting for David Haye to take over the heavyweight division. I'm sorry I don't like Calzaghe, but it has nothing to do with him being white or European.
I also want Calzaghe to go away. I can't stand his fans who jump the gun on almost everything...Its crazy
a BHOP and a Mayweather fan?.....damn I forgot them type of fans never stick up for their boxers:pat:
This has nothing to do with race or being American, convenient as it is for you though.

Yer cos Calzaghe ran his mouth more at Hops, then Hops did at Calzaghe. And Calzaghe runs his mouth way more than most boxers and more personally then most. Right right.
he has it all wrong
JC has always ran his mouth
I hated him until Saturday
he admitted he was stunned and hurt in the first
give him props and hopefully he retires cause his speech is sounding slurred and that is not a good sign for any figher
