Calzaghe is overrated

Calzaghe was a good fighter but I did not like how he fought Hopkins and Jones when they were past prime. Still, I didn't see Pavlik, Taylor, Miranda, Abraham, or Wright beating him. Abraham and Wright had the best shot but their workrate would have lost them the fight. I'm far from a Calzaghe fan btw, but I gotta be honest about stuff like this as a boxing fan. With that said I think a prime Jones/Hopkins easily beats any version of Calzaghe. I agree 100%. His resume wasn't/isn't that good, especially up until the 12th 13th year of his career, but I don't see many fighters under 175 being able to compete with him, let alone beat him. The Hopkins rematch would look exactly the same as the first fight, a fight where you either favor Hopkins' clean punching or Calzaghe's activity. Dawson is the only one I see possibly beating him cleanly.

I am not just saying this because Joe Calzaghe was born in the same London hospital as me (my only claim to fame) but surely someone deserves credit if they become the UNDISPUTED World Champion of their weight division, as Joe did. Kessler, Roy Jones Jr, Chris Eubank Bernard Hopkins and Jeff Lacy were not bums, either. In fact, some may react scornfully to this, but I believe that Hopkins is currently the best American fighter on the planet. 44 years old. Grow a brain. Calzaghe is way overrated. He has yet to beat an elite boxer. How is he rated in the top 2 or 3 p4p? What has he done? I mean if he is so good, why hasn't he fought a great fighter. More power... My motive is putting boxers in their rightful place. Calzaghe is not nearly as great as he is being made out to be. There are fighters today that have accomplished more then Calzaghe and are not even on the p4p list.
