Maidana always has a seek and destroy look on his face..He looks intimidating even being interviewed..
I hope he has the skills to drop and finish off Devon, he deserves it..
Yea it was put on here by Boxingscene already, sad really. I had hope for the kid, I went to see him fight here in Chicago against a,then, undefeated hot prospect from Cicero. They went to war and Gomez edged the victory..I hope he doesn't get side tracked by some BS like this though.
How about we see neither one of those fights because we know the outcome and we just see May vs Pac and stop all the bullsh1t.
Going by this logic, why get May-Pac?, we already know the outcome..
Even if it is $22mil..$40 mil is almost TWICE as much as he made, and I don't know many people besides Marquez that'll bring him that much money again, and nobody wants to see Marquez robbed again..
Mayweather will make a cool $30mil fighting his babymoms in the ring..Pacquiao wants to beat this dude so bad, Roach wants it, supposedly..He agreed and STATED to taking a smaller purse, and the date and venue are set to go..What's Pacquiao waiting for??
If Pacquiao's so confident of winning, beat him and I'm sure there will be some clause for a rematch if you beat Mayweather, and then you can take control of the higher purse, and let Mayweather have his 30 or 40 percent in the rematch!..
Come on man Manny is getting ripped off. Obviously. But a fighter who sells almost the exact same # of PPVs is never going to take less than 50% that's like MAN LAW. Stop messin around.
Then he can go on fight 3 more times making people either come up or come down in weight and equal that $40mil..
Meanwhile, Mayweather will fight either Cotto or Canelo and bring in his $30-40mil easy..while they collect a simple $10mil at best..
Mayweather's 0 and marketability is what makes him get the lions share..beat him, take his spot and earn your lions share..
Andrade is boring as SH!T..he won't do anymore damage if Hernandez is this damaged already...
On a side note..Hernandez' people should really reconsider this guy continuing to fight..if he takes a beating tonight he needs to hang them up if Dr's sound this concerned
I was at this card ringside..
they went to WAR!! the 7th rd was brutal for both but Amanda dominated..
I got to meet Joel Diaz jr and his dad..Joel scored a 1st rd KO within like 30 sec.
Oscar de La Hoya
Cotto is food for Mayweather stylistically
I was expecting this answer..with that said..DLH-Mayweather was about 5 years and 5 fights ago..
I'm not saying Cotto is better than that DLH, and Mayweather may very well dog walk Cotto, but I don't think it's as bad of a match-up as most people try to make it seem..Cotto could have some early success with a decent jab and a straight right, the left hook would be absent all night tho..
I mean, Mayweather-Martinez makes 0 sense if it's at 150lbs, his recent pictures look as if he's having to work hard enough to get to 160lbs and he's also 37 now, a 150lb Martinez would be like the DLH that Pacquiao fought..
Based off styles, Cotto is the best match for Mayweather..what else is out there really..
Waiting for him to fight Cotto for years. Yes, I would like to see that fight.
^^^ I 2nd this...:boxing:
Do it for the fans that been waiting since 06/07 Money!..
It won't make money, and it doesn't really make sense.
Sure they're 1-1 but it's really 1*-1, that asterisk is there whether the Margarito fans like it or not. Cotto proved a lot by beating him in a one-sided fight that he's far superior.
Margarito doesn't adapt, he bring HUEVOS to the ring, pressure, and stamina, once they nullify that it's over.
I wouldn't mind seeing it maybe as both of their farewell fight in 2013 or something, but Cotto can make big moves and climb the ladder still, why waste time on Margarito now?..he left no doubts who the superior man was on Dec 3rd by shutting his ass out.
Miguel Cotto gets another hefty pay day, takes that L but walks away atleast $5 milli richer, and possibly calls it a career after a mediocre win over someone like K9 or Kirkland.
I got Bradley on this one, been saying it for a couple years now..Bradley brings the style to give Pacquiao HELL, headbutts aside, Bradley is all about getting the W..no matter what he's gotta do to get it..
I got Bradley in a close but unanimous decision..115-113 across the board..
What did he do that was so wrong? All he kept saying was that he wasnt going to answer any questions but she kept following him and sticking the mic in his face. He told her this was a personal matter and didnt want to discuss it. If it were me, I wouldve snatched that mic and threw it across the parking lot!
Exactly, I mean I don't understand how people try to make it seem that because you're famous you shouldn't have human emotion/instinct.
Miguel Cotto seems reserved, and wants and prefers privacy unlike most celebrities..he simply asked her to not put that mic in his face and she kept harassing him..
Cotto didn't do wrong in this situation, just because a person sticks a mic and a camera in your face doesn't mean you turn on the the fake and answer questions for the media..She was pushing his buttons to get a rise out him and they can get publicity..it's what low-end reporters do..
I'm surprised he didn't destroy that camera and proceed to beat the sh!t out of them both...
Yeah i have around 500/600 $ to spend on a ticket...Cant wait never seen a live pro card let alone the likes of mayweather card
Wow!!..I'll see you there bro..
my budget is the same as yours...but for 2 tickets :lol1: ..I'm sure I'll be good with 2 $300 tix..I hope I could get solid seats..
RU BEIN SERIOUS??my hotel is 500 euro for 10 ten days in PH and theres no way it costs 1.5/3k for NOSEBLEEDS
Yea I'm looking at flight and hotel prices for 5 days as low as $800 from Chicago to Vegas..I'm jumping on these quick!..lol
I have no experience getting comped big fight tickets but to back up Shady's statement, yeah you probably have to drop baller cash. I'll put it this way, we stayed at Encore for the Pac-Mosley fight, I played $100 minimum BJ next to a guy who called in a $50G marker and a $30G marker, and played up to $3500 a hand, and the dealer didn't even blink an eye. And this was in the regular pits, nothing remotely close to VIP.
Vegas lingo..my mind was in the gutter immediately when I read that part..lol
He's got a better chance than Cotto beating Mayweather IMO..
As a matter of fact, I've been saying that Bradley is the only other person, besides Mayweather, that could beat Pacquiao from 140-147..Bradley knows how to move, and he can be slick, agressive and make it ugly..he'll do what it takes to get the W..
I'm almost leaning to believing it'll be Bradley's night, but if Pacquiao can get those cramps under control and erase that last JMM fight from his recent memory he can blow Bradley out with activity and power
Do you think that Cotto can outbox Floyd? Because Cotto is winning fights by boxing now and I guess that would have to be your opinion if you believe that he wins...
He's boxed the 2 pressure fighters (Mayorga, Margarito), and effectively pressured the boxer in Foreman.
I think it's a hell of a puzzle for anyone to crack when it comes to Mayweather, I don't think anyone in this era does it, definitely not Pacquiao..
With that said, I think at 154lbs a Cotto-Mayweather fight would be quite interesting. Let's not forget last time Mayweather stepped up to 154lbs he won a razor thin SD against a pretty much done DLH.
I say Cotto loses, but it would be entertaining, atleast IMO, Pacquiao gets completely shut out by Mayweather no doubt.
Wrong guy kid. Tell me a Margarito fact that I deny. I'll wait. :bottle:
You're in every single Cotto thread, admit that you're obsessed already son.
Intervention is coming to a city near you, your family needs to sign you up asap!..
Bro you are trying way too hard to sell a Mayweather/Cotto fight like the rest. Floyd dominated DLH and I'm a big big DLH fan.
FYI if Cotto and Mayweather fight, it will be a better fight than most cause I think Cotto has the style to beat Mayweather unlike Pac. If Mayweather pushes him back though, Cotto is fucked.
I'm not selling anything, the razor thin isn't my opinion. Although had DLH stuck to the game plan, jabbed some more he could've gotten the nod. But my comment to the razor thin is that deciding judge who had it 7-5 (113-115) Mayweather, I believe, that's as close as it gets with out it being a draw.
I think Cotto-Mayweather at 154lbs is more competitive than Pacquiao-Mayweather at 147lbs, just based off styles alone.
I laughed my ass off when the girls came in to take a picture and flashed in front of the camera. :lol1:
Not funny at all bro!..lmao!
I was watching this sh!t with my 2 sons (8 and 5) and I was like WTF? close YOUR EYES!!..
I covered my 8 year olds and my 5 year old was squinting half way looking that lil perv!..haha!
Yeah I doubted him against Ponce. I was like ponce is too big and experienced... And I doubted him against Moreno (who many people had p4p back then). I will never doubt this kid again no matter who he faces. War Mares!
What about against Rigo?..
I love Mares..his style is dope (win by any means necessary)..He always finds a way to adapt and get the W..
but I'm afraid Rigo is too quick and strong for Mares..I saw him get dropped pretty hard by Darchinyan who is awkward himself..but Rigo wouldn't allow him to survive if he hurts him..the speed would kill him IMO..
