Pacquiao and Mayweather are on a bidding war to get a fight with him. Because if those two don't fight the only other man who can get them big money is Cotto so they will throw the big money at him and is safe to say Cotto can come out of this with a 15 million dollar purse. After being left for dead after his loses to Margarito and Pacquiao this men has risen up from the ashes like a ****ing phoenix.
I don't believe this. I don't see Floyd fighting somebody that Pac dominated
While this IS true, if the Pa fight doesn't materialize, i don't think he'll have any problems going up to 154 and fighting Cotto for his belt.
Didn't Floyd already said he wasn't interested in fighting Cotto in his recent FH interview? Then again, he said he wasn't going to fight Ortiz, and we all know how that went. There's no bidding war, I don't think Floyd is desperate to fight Cotto.
Bro you are trying way too hard to sell a Mayweather/Cotto fight like the rest. Floyd dominated DLH and I'm a big big DLH fan.
FYI if Cotto and Mayweather fight, it will be a better fight than most cause I think Cotto has the style to beat Mayweather unlike Pac. If Mayweather pushes him back though, Cotto is fucked.
I'm not selling anything, the razor thin isn't my opinion. Although had DLH stuck to the game plan, jabbed some more he could've gotten the nod. But my comment to the razor thin is that deciding judge who had it 7-5 (113-115) Mayweather, I believe, that's as close as it gets with out it being a draw.
I think Cotto-Mayweather at 154lbs is more competitive than Pacquiao-Mayweather at 147lbs, just based off styles alone.
Considering how limited his options are, and how big of a name Cotto is, you best believe Cotto is a strong possibility. Hate to say it but I'm hoping we get Mayweather-Cotto, it's better than Mayweather-Canelo in my opinion.
I do agree with the options are very limited. For big money it only leaves Cotto, Canelo, Marquez or the winner of Berto/Ortiz if they can make the date.
Pac or Floyd would still pull plenty of cash for a lesser opponent cause they are mainstream fighters that the public recognizes.
He's boxed the 2 pressure fighters (Mayorga, Margarito), and effectively pressured the boxer in Foreman.
I think it's a hell of a puzzle for anyone to crack when it comes to Mayweather, I don't think anyone in this era does it, definitely not Pacquiao..
With that said, I think at 154lbs a Cotto-Mayweather fight would be quite interesting. Let's not forget last time Mayweather stepped up to 154lbs he won a razor thin SD against a pretty much done DLH.
I say Cotto loses, but it would be entertaining, atleast IMO, Pacquiao gets completely shut out by Mayweather no doubt.
The problem is that "done" DLH would have beat Cotto and I think pretty easy too. I actually think THAT DLH beats most if not ALL the JMW's right now. Its weak which is why Arum moved Cotto up. DLH was NOT as done as everyone wanted to think until AFTER Mayweather fought him and even then he wasn't as done as everyone wanted to believe because he was still good enough to make people think he could beat Pac.
I like Cotto but he won't out box Mayweather. If anything his body shots would be key IF he could even land on Mayweather who's a lot faster than Cotto.
Wrong guy kid. Tell me a Margarito fact that I deny. I'll wait. :bottle:
You're in every single Cotto thread, admit that you're obsessed already son.
Intervention is coming to a city near you, your family needs to sign you up asap!..
Do you think that Cotto can outbox Floyd? Because Cotto is winning fights by boxing now and I guess that would have to be your opinion if you believe that he wins...

Floyd dont want no part of Cotto.
Right...... come on dude, your exposing your lack of boxing knowledge with a ignorant post like this.
Someone like you should know Cotto and Bob Arum never wanted a fight with Mayweather just like now with Pac. I like Cotto but Mayweather makes him look like Gatti at any weight class Cotto has ever boxed at.
At least attempt to justify Mayweather not fighting another Top Rank fighter named Margarito.
I think Alvarez pulls more money for Mayweather. Not just popularity but also the fact he deals with Golden Boy who Mayweather normally "works" with.
Cotto is tied to Bob Arum and we all know Bob does not like to deal with the fighter that owned him years ago.
However if there is truth to a bidding war, than that is awesome for Cotto.
Cotto is a free agent and there is no way Canelo brings Mayweather more money than Cotto.

I don't believe this. I don't see Floyd fighting somebody that Pac dominatedWho else does he have left to fight at 147? Ortiz vs. Berto winner with a quick turnaround maybe, but only if there is a clear, dominant winner. Assuming that Golden Boy doesn't want to sacrifice Canelo to him...there are no other good fights for him...maybe if Khan had beat Peterson he could have gone with him, but who else is left seriously?
He used to take his time in between fights to find opponents that he could sell to the public, but he has boxed himself in a corner this time by agreeing to a date with no opponent. I guess he can name a ****ty opponent and then claim he (or his opponent) got hurt in training and never reschedule the fight...
Rising up from the ashes like a phoenix.
Lmao!!!!!!!!! Can't let go of them nuts can you?
Atleast the nuts I hug are worth it and clean.
The nuts you hug? Well they are dirty or those of drag queens.
Bidding war? Floyd can fight any cab driver and make millions. He aint giving Cotto money he can pocket. If Cotto vs Mayorga had done better attendance at Vegas he had leverage. But Cotto only do great attendance in the East Coast. Cotto is good but he aint making more than 6 million guaranteed.
Only reason for Floyd to fight Cotto is to prove what he said in the past. Become your own boss and we can have a fight. Proving also that Arum is the one avoiding the big fights and not him like the haters are saying.
