I have no experience getting comped big fight tickets but to back up Shady's statement, yeah you probably have to drop baller cash. I'll put it this way, we stayed at Encore for the Pac-Mosley fight, I played $100 minimum BJ next to a guy who called in a $50G marker and a $30G marker, and played up to $3500 a hand, and the dealer didn't even blink an eye. And this was in the regular pits, nothing remotely close to VIP.
Vegas lingo..my mind was in the gutter immediately when I read that part..lol

Yea I'm looking at flight and hotel prices for 5 days as low as $800 from Chicago to Vegas..I'm jumping on these quick!..lol
Yeah i have around 500/600 $ to spend on a ticket...Cant wait never seen a live pro card let alone the likes of mayweather card
Wow!!..I'll see you there bro..
my budget is the same as yours...but for 2 tickets :lol1: ..I'm sure I'll be good with 2 $300 tix..I hope I could get solid seats..
No your wrong there my flights cost me 490 euros and 500 euro for a decent room.
Well then well done. Enjoy your vegas trip. My suggestion would be to get to the arena early. They usually start the nontelevised undercard around 4-5 in the afternoon.
Flight and hotel prices get jacked up for floyd n pac fight. Add to that its a u.s holiday so there'll be plenty of people who dont care about the fight jacking up prices even further

Tickets start at 500dollars and I doubt you wanna watch the fight by yourself or get the cheapest seats possible.
Yes, huge. My guess would be about 50grand would be the lowball cutoff where most places consider comping rooms and shows.
But since you're coming all the way across the atlantic it may be worth the gamble. The average domestic tourist will spend between 1-5k on just the hotel room alone for between 3-5nights in vegas. Plus you'll likely spend between 1.5-3k on 2 fight tickets for nosebleeds so you're already closing in on 10grand. Plus the money for food, alcohol and whatever souvenirs you wanna take back and it adds up quick. But like I said...call different hotels and im sure they have different players club packages.

I went over to Vegas for the Cotto vs Pacquiao fight mate. From what i can remember, i got tickets from the Top Rank website (which directed me to Ticket Master when i clicked on their link). Pacquiao and Cotto were both with Top Rank then so i guess thats why they were sold via the Top Rank website. Not to sure how that would work with Mayweather-Cotto..maybe there will be links on Mayweathers website (if he has one) ?
Also, when i signed upto Top Ranks newsletter, they sent me a code to use, so i could buy tickets 24 hours before general sale..so look out for any offers like that if possible.
Another thing was, they didn't send the tickets out, we had to pick them up from the MGM box office a day or 2 before fight-night.

Would you have to be gambling huge money to get fight tix??

Ticketmaster spring huge "convenience" and "processing" charges on people
Buy a 100 ticket and you'll probably pay $120 for it
For lower price tickets, you will probably pay and extra 40% per ticket
Its not a scam but its a rip off, most are completely clueless to it. Check this out: http://money.cnn.com/2011/12/02/news/companies/ticketmaster_class_lawsuit/index.htm
so where do you suggest
i went 2 watch hatton mayweather n the buzz around the place was amazing, after tht i went and watched calzaghe hopkins n tht was gd n mayweather mosley again was amazing. i can see this fight having a big build up during the week of the fight
Sounds class thanks mate
Big fight weekends are entirely different. The atmosphere is electric. It's also a huge bonus to see other fighters around town as well. We ended up being seated next to Cotto for brunch when we were in Vegas for Pac-Mosley, that was priceless.
Eh dublin to chicago then to vegas takes 14 hours not too bad....im a huge pbf fan so this a big deal to me...I was in vegas b4 but i was told its a different in fight week
The whole ticketmaster thing is good advice. But since you're flying internationally another alternative is if you plan on gambling enough money you may be able to score free tickets from your hotel. So talk to different hotels and see what they offer.

i used ticketmaster 4 the hopkins calzaghe fight n i had no problems with them, but my brother wont use them because they sometimes do random checks on ur card n if you dont get back intouch with then fast enough they cancel your order
