I agree with this. I had Marquez beating Pacquiao in both fights and Marquez is a great boxer. But Mayweather is an even better boxer than Marquez, IMO.
I think Dawson would beat Hopkins but I wouldn't be surprised if this fight doesn't take place. Hopkins still wants Jones and I think he'd rather have Jones than Dawson.
If Jones doesn't wanna fight, then it could be made.
I think, legacy-wise, people will remember Mayweather as the better boxer, rather than the better fighter.
Pacquiao holds wins over the better fighters, but it's sort of tainted, in my opinion. I had Marquez beating him twice. Many think that DLH and Morales were way past it, but he still has their names on his record.
Mayweather, on the other hand, is the better boxer between the two. He did beat two Pacquiao's best opponents when they were more in their prime, but still, some of his victories are tainted as well.
I think their fight will play a big part in how to rank them. I wouldn't be surprised if they rank the winner of the fight higher on an all-time great list.
A Hopkins fight means more money. I'm guessing that's why Dawson wants to fight him.
If he were to face Pascal, it would be a tough fight for him. Pascal is pretty fast and has a fairly good punch.
More money? You think Dawson is getting a big piece of the pie?
No. But I'm guessing it'll pay better than if he fought Pascal. Just my opinion, though.
I had Marquez winning both fights, against Pacquiao. If Marquez could do it then so could Mayweather. On the other hand, Pacquiao will be one of, if not the, fastest opponents that Mayweather has fought. Pacquiao pressure could cause a big problem for Mayweather.
It's a toss-up fight, in my opinion.
Barrera and Hatton weren't shot/ruined.
Barrera was at the top of the featherweight division and in his prime. Hatton was still the top 140 pounder and came off of a dominant victory over Malignaggi.
DLH was way over the hill and weight-drained. No excuses to say he wasn't. Morales lost to Zahir Raheem in a big upset and was considered done.
I had him losing to Marquez, in both fights, so I'm not gonna comment much on that. Cotto, I'm not sure. He looked pretty good in the beginning of their fight but I still thought that Margarito took a lot out of him.
Still. He has the victories and that's what counts.
TBH, I had a feeling it was Hagler, because I've seen a picture of him with hair similar to that. I just wasn't sure cause the face looked so young and it was hard to tell.
Nice find, though!
read my post again.
i said rounds CLEARLY won.
except for a handful of rounds that there was a clear winner , most of the rounds were tossups.
don't be so simple.
I had the fighters winning some clear rounds, besides when they were hurt. I'll admit that there were a few tossup rounds, but in the end, Marquez deserved the win.
lame ass alt.
if you're gonna troll , don't turn off your rep power.
wear your red karma bar with pride , troll.
Oh.. so I'm an alt now because you don't agree with my opinion?
And I could care less whether or not you like the color of my rep bar.
as an educated fan im sure uve seen oscar vs shane 1 & 2...
the dude has some serious issues with the speed of shane man...
cant cut the ring off & adjust his gameplan...
same with pea...
kamau, gatti, trinidad & mayorga really aint that fast...
when u think about it he is even more one-dimensional than MP...
Do you even know what you're talking about?
Yes, DLH had a lot problems with Mosley, in their first fight. Not their second, though. DLH was completely robbed and anyone who's seen that fight would tell you that. He neutralized Mosley's speed and was basically counter punching and working the jab to offset Mosley's speed.
And since when are Whitaker and Mosley named Pacquiao? All of their styles are different.
well, i guess in your eyes, DLH never really lost...good job!
He did lose. I had him losing to Mosley (in their first fight), Hopkins (obviously) and Sturm.
the greatest gift that PAC has ever given this sport so far, is retiring that fishnet-wearing, cherrypicking fagg0t and his bitch ass fans
I'm hardly a big fan of his. I just don't like the uneducated boxing fans who over-hype their fighter to the fullest extent.
