And I don't know how many times I heard statements like, "If Cus were alive Tyson wouldn't have had all these troubles." Really?!? Seriously! When Pac had 2 close fights with JMM, nobody was talking about how he was exposed or overrated. Some had Pac winning both fights, while some had JMM winning, while some had it a split. Pac moves on and completely destroys/shuts out his next 7 opponets. Diaz, Oscar, Hatton, Cotto Clottey, Margarito, and Shane. He shuts out Shane 12rounds to 0, even drops him, and somehow the haters claim he was exposed! On the same token, they claimed Floyd put on a masterpeice against Shane although Shane almost put Floyd's head in the 3rd row. Your reasoning is utterly specious and nonsensical. Most of these "haters" that you're talking about are formally folks who were blindly for Pacquiao. As to Manny's next seven opponents, only someone trying to fool themselves would give Manny full credit for beating fighters on the decline or that have been badly beaten in their previous fights. Also if you remember, when Floyd fought Shane, Shane was actually ranked in the P4P rankings and coming off one of the biggest wins of his career, the utter and complete annihilation of Antonio Margarito. This here tells you how high the haters hold Pac. First he was this undestructable steroid freak, and now that he had a tough close fight with his nemesis, he's on the decline, shot, exposed, cycling off peds, etc..... LOL. Fact is, Pac and JMM can fight 10 times and it will be close all 10 times. Styles make fights. Was Mayorga a better boxer than Vernon Forrest because he lost to him 2x? Absolutely not. Lets all hope now that Pac/May gets done for May 5th! This whole rationale of Manny and Marquez fighting ten times and getting the same result is a conclusion some have come to in retrospect. As I remember there were many inept predictions of Manny taking Marquez out in three rounds or less? So when it didn't happen, those that worship the diminutive Filipino as some sort of deity needed a fall back position that left Manny’s status as P4P king intact. The fact is, Manny Pacquiao is a tremendous boon for the sport of boxing and I wish him nothing but continued success. But what I can't do however is bury my head in the sand and act like Pacquiao and his limited boxing ability weren’t exposed, they were. The only people that thought Manny was invincible were his fans.

this thread is on point!!!! i just rewatched the fight and before i had it 116- 112 form manny but after watching it again i had it 117 - 111 !!!!! dont get me rong marquez had some good moments but manny won desicivley in my eyes !!!! When you watched and scored that fight, did you by chance have the television off and a blindfold on?

I'm 6' 5" and a pretty good looking guy, I've never had any trouble hooking up with women. I've had mediocre girlfriends (in terms of appearance) and smokin' hot ones and the one thing I've learned is that nothing, and I mean nothing comes close to a good woman. And by "good" I mean a woman that isn't necessarily the best looking or has the best body, but someone you can laugh with and share precious moments with. That's what matters in the end, because beauty fades and breasts eventually sag, but heart, love, and understanding endure. I salute all women, in all shapes, hues, and sizes.

Anyone who isn't a blind, deaf, and dumb Pacquiao fan can easily deduce why this happened. Marquez was ranked #5 and Floyd #2, after the debacle last Saturday it was pretty clear that Marquez is a better boxer. Floyd made Marquez look like he was standing still, while Pacquiao's only salvation for winning that fight was a gift decision from the judges. Why would anyone rank Pacquiao ahead of Floyd when Pac looked so terrible? What?!? Pac should be ahead of Floyd because of the washed up fighters he's feasted on the last several years? That sort of reasoning is delusional at best and severely mentally ill at worst. In order to keep the top spot the P4P fighter has to consistently demonstrate his superiority over the rest of the field. The only thing Pac demonstrated last Saturday is that he doesn't belong in the top spot. It’s cool for the Pacoholics to think that their "bad ass" can plow through the world, it's lunacy of course, but everyone's got the right to bury their head in the sand, even if it's all the way up to their butt.

Their face-off leading up to these episodes was the best face-off I think HBO has ever done, and this first part was very well done, it was excellent in fact. I still think that Margarito has no business ever boxing again for what he attempted to do to Shane Mosley and this episode does nothing to dissuade me from thinking this way. Antonio Margarito is a cheater regardless of whether it was done in his fight with Cotto or not. I get really bad vibes from that guy like he has no scruples or something.

Floyd is fighting a fighter whose only way to beat him is to actually discourage him from moving and attacking forward. Floyd is not goin to do that with one punch at the time, and at a measured pace. Floyd needs to actually exchange with Pac while making him miss to actually do that. JMM did that, not to mention that he is already familiar with Pac style, having fought 24 rounds with him already... There's nothing that Manny Pacquiao has displayed that will make Floyd Mayweather fight any differently than he's fought to date. It's fine as a Pac fan to delude yourself into thinking Floyd needs to fight like some sort of a moron, from what I can tell. Floyd's fought all styles, all types of power and he's picked every single one of his opponents apart and made it look easy in the process. Saying that Floyd is gonna win based on just him being a boxer, and that he handidly gave it to JMM dont know what they are talkin about. Dude, you must not watch very much boxing based on an answer as flimsy as this. I say that Floyd is going to win because he's the better fighter, boxer, or pugilist if you will than Manny Pacquiao, he's demonstrated he matchless skill time and again, with all types of fighters. Floyd isn't just a boxer he's probably the finest boxer to ever lace up a pair of gloves. Again, as a "fan" you can tell yourself whatever you want, but this is precisely why there was so much clamor around the fight this last weekend. Alot of delusional Pacquiao fans (that don't know boxing whatsoever) assumed their Lord and Savior was just going to burrow through a bloated, old fighter in Marquez. This is called blind belief and when such a limited mentality meets reality, you get pages upon pages of excuses about foot cramps, Marquez stepping on feet, or whatever Pacquiao's mindless acolytes can spin out of whole cloth. First of all triangle theories does not apply in boxing. JMM was not effective against Floyd because he was forced to lead, which is far from his comfort zone. This is different with Pac... JMM would have lost to Floyd regardless of what he would have done because Floyd outthinks all of his opponents. I'm sure JMM and Nacho looked at all of Floyd's fights and came up with a game plan to beat him, obviously their plan didn't work, as Floyd makes instantaneous adjustments against his opponents. Styles makes fights... And if you cant figure that out then just watch how Pac easily beat Oscar, Hatton compared to Floyd... And it has nothing to do with how they were perceived to be "weak", "shot" like what most idiots here think.. Pacquiao beat fighters that were shadows of their former selves; it didn't have much to do with styles. Bob Arum has carefully matched Manny with fighters that are on the decline, that's a fact only someone in love with Manny Pacquiao would ignore and try to get others to ignore. Pacquiao fights shot fighters that pose little risk, their major miscalculation was that JMM had more in the gas tank than they thought he would, which is why we're headed for a fourth fight. Pac will always have better results against this two compared to Floyd irregardless of the situation they were when they fought them...The same that you can say that Floyd can have better results against JMM compared to Pac... My advice, love BOXING more and Manny Pacquiao less.

Yeah right like Floyd actually fights like JMM..And before you guys keep harping about Floyd being a better counterpuncher, you also have to acknowledge that JMM throws combinations back, and actually willing to get hurt to throw his combos out.. A fighter that's willing to "get hurt" isn't very smart, especially if they could do the same amount of damaged while reducing the risk of being hit by being more defensive. The aim in boxing, is to hit but not be hit. It isn't to go out get your brains bashed in, so anonymous children on a boxing forum can say you had blood and guts. Floyd is the most complete fighter in the game today, period. It isn't just a matter of saying Floyd is a "better counter puncher," Floyd is a better overall fighter in every category that matters. What a revelation last night was, it's crazy. The whole world saw what the past 2 years has really been about....Pac and Top Rank avoiding the fight. Been saying it since Pac walked from negotiations the first time and announced the Clottey fight a day or two later. To the objective fight fan this has been clear all along.

After seeing Pacquiao-Marquez 3, a fight that Marquez arguably won (I had it a draw), does Floyd finally get the respect and his due credit for dominating Marquez over 2 years ago??? I mean, Marquez, past even being as good as he was 2-3 years ago, just gave Pacquiao hell one again, and argubaly won again. Will you Floyd haters finally give him the credit he deserves for his dominating performance over Marquez??? Asking a Pacquiao fan to give Mayweather credit is like asking a man without legs to run a marathon.

Nacho wasn't the problem whatsoever, reality was. There was no way Marquez was going to walk out of that ring with a decision win, he needed a knockout.

I bet for a alot of Pacquiao fans, waking up from last night's fight is like a chick waking up next to her man and finding out his penis is gone. Naturally, she still loves him and wishes him well, but the fact still remains, her man has no penis.

There really nothing in that statement other than you praising Floyd's skills while downgrading Pac.. How is he gonna beat Manny?? Because he is a better boxer.. lol..JMM is a better boxer and he still cannot beat Pac clearly.. Floyd has fought all styles.. Really.. If a slow, plodding, barely active fighter like Joshua Clottey can land on Manny at will then you kinda get the picture of what Floyd will do. Pacquiao's been knocked out twice. His chin has stood up fairly well, but the fact still remains he's been knocked out twice. Marquez is the better boxer and he's now beat Manny three times. What does that have to do with my post.. Yet somehow, two years after that Marquez is in better shape and can handle the weight better? You see I am a firm believer that what was perceived before the fight is what reallly matters. Anything else are just excuses. Huh? JMM-Pac I and II was a 50/50 fight going in. Cotto and Hatton were the same with a slight advantage on Pac (2 to 1 odds).. Barrera I, Morales II, Dela Hoya, Ledwaba fights showed Pac as a huge underdog.. Its not match making if the fighters are actually dead even in odds going in. And its even more pathetic to say that if Pac was the huge underdog. What you are doing is actually whining and excuses...Thats why I gave May full credit in his fight with Mosley.. Anything else that he has done recently well.. meh... The only person(s) making excuses are Pacquiao fans. I like how you have a rather selective list of Pacquiao's opponents. With names like Clottey, De La Hoya, Cotto, Margerito the only people that are whining are Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao now that some of his fans realize that he's a protected fighter these days and will not get into the ring with anyone truly dangerous, unless it's a mistake like last Saturday night.
