NSB Pick 'em #32 - Vasyl Lomachenko vs Guillermo Rigondeaux, Dec 9

BETTING ODDS: Vasyl Lomachenko is a comfortable, but not prohibitive favorite hanging from 4/1 to 5/1 in basically all sportsbooks. No bonus multiplier. You only need to post in this thread to indicate if you'd like to use one of your 2X or 3X multipliers. EG. BrometheusBob.,2X If you are using no multiplier (1X), and not picking a draw, just voting in the poll puts you in. I will assume you want 1X unless you post otherwise. NOTES: -Draws are worth 120pts -CLOSE is <=12 pts difference, or equivalent to 116-112 on all three scorecards or closer WIDE is >12 pts difference -PM me before the fight starts with a different pick in order to change your pick. -2X doubles your points and 3X triples your points. hahhahahahahahhahahaha] Man Rigo really was the 'great black hope' for the LDBC these fools try to discredit Lomas wins yet they were certain their hope was gonna win BEFORE the fight looool. bob paid Rigo not to throw punches....lol

I picked rigo by wide decision before the fight. Though his countering and movement would cause a lot of problems. I was wrong and it was the complete opposite. Lomo made it his fight and completely neutralized rigos gameplan. Hats off to lomo

thought Rigo would survive 12....key word being SURVIVE. Rigo did exactly what I said he would, try to survive his way and claim he went 12....sadly, he didnt even have the minimal amount of balls I thought he would. This should be a warning for Thurman, Spence and the rest of Haymon company, don't waste your time with inactivity, pricing yourself out of top fights and against top opponents. Hopefully they hear it loud and clear.

Rigo got exposed as a one dimensional counterpuncher.. He is a helluva counterpuncher, but loma has such great footwork and timing, that rigo has very little to counter. Just like Marquez would always struggle with movers but excel vs katsidis, Juan Diaz types, or manny coming forward Roy Jones did the same thing to james Toney. Floyd did it to Marquez Counterpuncher struggle when you don’t give them chances to counter. Great post.

I guess you right but I'm just disappointed with how little Rigo did No answers, no really noticeable punches landed. Rigo got exposed as a one dimensional counterpuncher.. Age is a legit point.. Loma is truly peaking as a fighter in his prime. Size didn’t play a huge part, but I think it did set the tone. It was very close early, but 2nd rd when rigo tried clinching and loma just shook him off and attacked. After that rigo seemed to be in survival mode.. couldn’t hurt loma or even get his respect and loma just toyed with him.. Great little guy > good big guy But Great big guy > great little guy. I think the size was not that big an issue in this fight tbh. If anything, age was more relevant but even then Rigo just looked plain lost. Age is a legit point..
