Why not Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev III?

I think they need to fight other people and build towards a 3rd fight in summer/fall 2018 Either guy vs Stevenson would be great.. even though kovolev is 0-2 vs Ward, him and Adonis is still a huge fight.. Ideally and realistically, I would like to see Kovolev in November vs a tuneup Ward vs sometime in the next 8 months vs someone like bivol Next spring kovolev vs Adonis Ward vs kovolev 3 August or October

Sure but not an immediate rematch. Let them fight 2-3 other opponents first.

I would like to see this. Tony Weeks not deducting points for the low blows and stopping the fight way too early ruined this win for Ward. I feel that Kovalev was breaking down from legal punishment he was taking and wouldn't have lasted another two rounds. The low blows and stoppage ruined Wards win and gave Kovalev excuses. Has Kovalev been exposed? Does Ward just have his number? I felt that Kovalev should have looked to start fast and not let Ward settle. Horrible tactics. Sure why not. If there is money to be made by both sides unlike the last one go for it. Remember how many times PAC/ Marquez and SRR/Lamotta fought.

Unless Kovalev can fix his stamina problems he's not beating Ward. One more shot will only give his fans a whole set of excuses to come up with. I don't want to see another immediate rematch. If Kov returns and has a few good victories then fine, he'll have earned the right at another shot. Besides, I doubt Ward and Duva can tolerate working with each other anytime soon.....

I actually think that isnt a bad idea given the controversy in the first fight. Kovalev arguably got robbed in the first fight and second fight wasnt really conclusive as well so a 3rd fight can settle everything. No he did not. A robbery is what happened to Roy Jones in South Korea. What happened with Ward and Kovalev in their first match was a close fight.

I wish...Ward would beat him down worse than the rematch. I think a trilogy is warranted.

I would like to see fewer people making excuses after fights, that would be a nice change. There have been consecutive fights now and two consecutive reasons why Kovalev lost, so now we want a third fight? For what, to set the stage for a third fight laced with pathetic excuses about bad refs and chocolate pudding? I'll pass.... This. Kovalev had his chance to avenge the close decision of the first fight. He talked a big game about injuring Ward and ending his career, then fight night came along he got beat and wanted out of the fight for 2 rounds. Are people seriously talking about wanting to give the guy who literally turned and walked away from the fight multiple times Saturday night? The guy who faked getting hit low and quit? Kovalev finished the fight sitting on the ropes, he deserves another shot? Even if you think the very last shot was a little low, the other shots preceding that clearly were legal and Kovalev clearly showed several times he was trying to get out of the fight. He quit, quitters don't deserve another shot. He got beat by a better fighter.

No interest in watching him fade against Ward again unless he get's a conditioning coach.

It's not Ward's fault that Weeks did such a poor job as referee. When Kovalev bent over in agony from clearly low blows Weeks should have called the blows low and given Kovalev up to 5 minutes to recover instead of handing Ward a KO win. Maybe Ward would have knocked him out cleanly very soon anyway but nobody knows that for certain. Kovalev wasn't treated fairly by Weeks. I would like to see a third fight with a referee and three judges from neutral countries. Of course that will never happen. I mean no disrespect to Ward. He fought very well.

i dont see how the second fight wasnt conclusive. kovalev clearly didnt want to be there and was looking for a way out. the stoppage wasnt bad, when a fighter doesnt want to fight the ref shoud stop it. kovalev can lie all he wants afterwards but truth is when the fight was stopped he was clearly relieved. i would have liked to see ward make him quit, which was only a few moments away had he not been knocked out proper. kovalev should thank weeks for doing what nobody in his corner likes him enough to do.

Over 85 percent of people watching the first fight thought kovalev clearly won and he was robbed of that victory. Now over 75 percent of fans watching the rematch think ward intentionally low blowed kovalev twice in a row on the letter B of kovalevs trunks at the cup area, and tony weeks stopped the fight instead of giving kovalev his 5 minutes for the low blows and warn ward for fouling. Andre ward didnt beat kovalev fair and square Anf its obvious the NSAC can not be trusted for more reasons than 1. The NSAC sweeps things under the rug, they sanction fights that have no business being made and they cover up failed drug tests. No. Kovalev faded in the first, and second fight. He is a 4 Round fighter with a guy that can move and out smart him. No thanks. Lets move on. I rather see Kovalev vs Stevenson or Kovalev vs Joe Smith, Ward vs Stenson. Ward already has shown he is a better all around fighter than Kovalev .
