Fact.
people change, anyone who thinks they don't grow the **** up. Is it wrong to change depends. On what what kinda change. i don't think anyone understands until you've actually had to make some real life choices and begin to understand life isn't about you anymore, it's about living in balance. Dude has a wife and kids his priorities change.
I understand the point that Tyson is making by saying that his titles are material possessions that hold no value compared to his children and family. Still, i wouldn't disrespect the world titles that he won after sacrificing so much. Those titles represent your accomplishments, your pride and the period you was the king of the world. Those titles are not meaningless, they are symbols of your sacrifice. Love tyson, the most exciting heavyweight fighter ever.
He sounds like a man that has truly learned what's important in life and that's good to see. The younger Mike always seemed to be in a constant state of evolution, of confusion if you will. And I don't know how many times I heard statements like, "If Cus were alive Tyson wouldn't have had all these troubles." Really?!? I could never understand the rationale behind that because Mike's life has always been in his hands, he, like so many others let his opportunities slip away through one situation or another. But it was the life of his choosing.
These days he strikes me as a man that's much more comfortable with himself, and as the video demonstrates he has become a man of true priorities. All it took was drugs, bad women, prison and a couple hundred million dollars to figure out....
how could you feel sorry for him? the man made over 250 million dollars and slept with a boat load of women, a life someone can only dream of. Dont feel sorry for him one bit.
So in his time he had money and woman so he should be happy. The guy is not psychologically all there. He was basically adopted by the only person who gave a fk (his trainer) at a young age then he lost him, went to jail for rape, his young daughter tragically dies, cmon the guy has been through some sht
It's nice for him to understand the reality as he gets more wisdom with each passing day but he didn't really have to exagerate it in that way. He could have just said it didn't mean anything to him using the word, "garbage" but he didn't need to throw the WBA on the table. Afterall, without the belts he wouldn't have realised that they were garbage eventually in which case, they still meant something to him and even now as a reminder of how he feels. He'd have thrown them away if he really felt hatred towards what he achieved.
i agree with all that
Anybody see Tyson on the Marquez/Pac countdown on HBO....man feel bad for him. He was all over the place and when asked about the faceoff he said "oh yea that was intense thats where Andre Ward and Carl Froch....Lampley stopped him, lol. Mike represented the sport and the HW division in a big way back then
Yeah he;s punchy and on drugs or maybe sober but years of drug abuse has caught up to him. I'm not talking weed either, boat loads of cocaine.
You guys dont seem understand that Mikey isnt there yet..
His cameos in movies, his new attitude, all the interviews public acceptance are just part of his self rehabilitation, it takes YEARS for this to happen, as much as we love Mike for changing he isnt there it, it takes time, he still has negativity towards those titles and thats ABSOLUTELY NORMAL...
Right now its obvious hes on the right track, and hes getting there it just takes a lil time and only in time he'll go back and look at those belts with fond memories just like we do, give him alil, he'll get there...

very disrespectful to throw them around like that.
for the owner to throw them around? if I buy a basketball and throw it around am i being disrespectful? give yourself a reality check
I can see his point but as often is the case with Mike he exaggerates to make that point.
Pretty dis respectful to the sport and what it gave him tbh, and previous prestigious holders of these belts whom he does respect.
All belts do is collect dust. I bet Mike would've given up all his belts to stay away from Robin Givens and dodge the jail sentence. If Mike had a little more wisdom back them he would be known as the Greatest of all time hands down.
this^^^^^^
How about his daughter, Exodus? He could care less about Robin Givens, going to jail, and collecting belts, just to get her back.
I don't think it's fake with Tyson. With Foreman, I think deep down he's still the same brutal guy.
I disagree 100%. foreman is the real deal, he left that meanness in the 70's
tyson is just a vile person period
