Does anyone know the problem with the Wilder-Fury promo?
Their back and forth tonight was quite boring and very underwhelming, to say the least.
Is it because they have too much respect for eachother?
Or is it because Fury's performance was lucklustre, and therefore he doesn't present a challenge to Wilder?
What is it??
Either way, I hope it can pick up as they get closer to facing off.
I don't expect much from this fight. Tyson Fury is not a power hitter. He doesn't look like he used to look. Wilder will eventually catch Fury and knock him out easily. I don't see much of a fight here. Yes I will definitely still watch it because it's Deontay Wilder and I'm sure it will be an exciting knockout. But the result of the fight is pretty much not in question. Wilder will win by KO. I'm more excited to see the Joshua-Povetkin fight honestly. They both can punch and can KO each other. That adds more intrigue to a fight. In the Wilder-Fury fight only one guy can KO the other. Tyson Fury's only chance is to win by 12 round decision and he doesn't look as good as he did previously to do that. So It's pretty predictable that Wilder wins by KO against Fury.
I was thinking the same thing. In Mayweather vs McGregor, they seemed to have respect for each other also, which I think took away some of the potential **** talk from McGregor. You can tell when he genuinely hates somebody like Aldo or Khabib.
Fortunately that buildup was still good, so maybe this one will be also.
They genuinely seem to like one another , so the animosity just seems fake.
Wilder literally handed Fury the WBC belt after his win and Fury walked around the ring with it, before handing it back.
Fury has a great mouth piece and makes press conferences entertaining though.
Damn, that belt bit is a massive disappointment. How the hell did Wilder think that was a good idea??
I actually agree that there were some promotional issues, it was clear at the end of their fight announcement that both men like and respect each other. Dunno, I hope they can generate a believable type of tension between each other but I don't know?
These guys like each other and are going to make each other a lot of money, snubbing Hearn in the process, proving he doesn't actually run shyt. They're probably just excited.
