Look GGG turned pro late too after the long am career of 350 fights and waited 30+ fights to step up so....give Loma his full props.
You think GGG wanted to be fighting cans in German gymnasiums infront of 100 people? GGG didn't have the promotional force of Top Rank behind him to allow him the same opportunities that Lomachenko has been given. GGG would've happily fought for a title in his second pro fight, and he would've had a good chance of winning too.
I can't watch it right now. What did he say?
Rahim brought up their last interview together, in which Mikey said Lomachenko wasn't ready yet and needs more fights to get ready for Mikey. Rahim asks him if he thinks Loma is ready now.
Mikey nods and responds 'the fight that did it is the Linares fight, I can't credit him too much for Rigo who's a 122lber, I can't credit him for beating guys like Sosa and Marriaga, I see the talent in his boxing, but I can't give him credit beating those type of guys. But beating Linares at lightweight, and making the adjustments during the fight, because it was a good fight early on, Linares was doing well. He comes up from being knocked down and stops Linares, that does it, you gotta give the man credit. At this point the lomachenko is the only other fight that excites me.'
Mikey did pick Rigo though and said he couldn't pick a winner vs. Linares.
This is what Mikey said in a FightHype video before the fight.
'I wouldn't be surprised if Rigondeaux actually pulled it off, they both have great skills, with the size advantage, more than likely Lomachenko should win. Skills, and size advantage should be enough to allow him to win.'
Is there a video or interview in which he says he favors Rigo over Loma?
Get your tongue out of floyds ass for a minute and be honest with yourself. What loma has done after 14 fights easily eclipses what Floyd had done at that stage of his career.
What loma has done by the age 31 is far below what Floyd had achieved at that stage of his career. 5 weight world champion with wins over ODLH, Hatton, Judah, Corrales, Castillo and Hernandez. Loma hasn't come close to those accomplishments.
He's taking the GGG career path. KO'ing bums while claiming everybody is ducking you. If he fights a world level opponent in the next 8 years it will a faster step up in opposition than GGG so I don't want to see any GGG dickriders criticizing his bum fights when they were hyping GGG when he was doing the same :boxing: :boxing:
You mean it's good for Canelo but bad for Jacobs. The rehydration stipulation that is proposed by the WBC is supposed to protect fighters from brain trauma because of excessive dehydration. How his this 170 limit put in by team Canelo benefiting Jacobs who is a big Middleweight. Jacobs was foolish to take this fight under those circumstances. . I understand it's huge money but very risky. The WBC should not sanction this fight. Lemieux who is smaller than Jacobs had to cancel his fight because he was too dehydrated.
Jacobs fought with the same stipulations versus Deveryanchenko and he looked fine.
Clenbutrol is the exact type of PED that would benefit a fighter like Canelo. Shed fat while maintaining muscle. My guess is he started using it right after the Floyd fight. He didn’t want to be at a disadvantage ever again. Look how he suddenly wants a rehydration clause for Jacobs now. I suspect that if it were Charlo the one he got the gift decision against, the same folks defending him would be outraged.
Cheating is cheating. Canelo knee all the risks regarding tainted beef in Mexico. He is worth millions and can afford the very best in produce.
It makes little to no sense use clen 3 months out from a fight. The only time you would use it 3 months out from a fight would be if you put on way too much fat in your time off but from his instagram we know Canelo was already trim when he entered camp.
head shots have always been considered more important than body shots which is why the amateur scoring system was based around it. you all keep going on about canelos vicious body attack yet it was ggg who came on stronger in the 2nd half of the fight. how does that work?
Those body shots drained GGG. GGG was running for his life because he had nothing left in the tank in the 12th. Canelo had to tell him to come take his beating like a man.
"I thought you wanted Mexican Style? Come here boy!" :boxing: :boxing:

Well technically pacquiao is the reason, because Floyd never felt the need to ask for it until that fight was being negotiated. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against the testing, it’s just kind of a strange look coming from a fighter is all. Up until that point, it was unheard of for a fighter to act that way...for better or for worse.
It is an undisputed fact that Floyd was willing to make the fact as long as Pacquiao agreed to the type of blood testing that is considered standard today. Whether he wanted the blood testing out of fear or not really doesn't matter. He was willing to make the fight as long as it happened on a level playing field.
What the fuc are you talking about???????? Canelo is fighting a guy GGG already beat. Vanes was the only easy stay busy fight GGG had in years. Are you going to hold that against him for eternity? Why the hell don't you wait and see who GGG fights next instead f trashing him in advance for a crime has has yet done? Hater.
GGG been fighting stay busy fights his entire career the fuc you talking bout
Loma did say he didnt want the fight until after pedraza because that does two things for the guy. Tests his shoulder after surgery and two allows them to fight for all the titles in their unification.
Lomachenko moved up and KOed the #2 guy at 135 in his first fight and that wasnt good enough for you or something? Linares was a fight that even Mikey didnt want.
If Mikey wanted Linares it could have happened but it didnt. He chose not to have that fight. Instead he did what? Moved up in weight to cherry pick a weak title holder? You think mikey could have beat any other 140 champ?
If Linares had the balls to fight lomachenko then Mikey should have them too. But again. He didnt.
Linares was reported 152 on fight night against lomachenko who weighs 138.
Mikey probably weighs as much if not more. Hes the far bigger guy.
Then you got all you people who talk about how his skills are so good.
Well. Mikey is bigger, stronger, and more technical than Lomachenko. What's stopping the guy from calling him out when he opens his mouth so much? I would like to know.
He calls out everyone else but Lomachenko who is arguably p4p #1 and the other best man in his division.
That's a duck.
I have no problem with Loma wanting Pedraza as his first fight off of surgery, it's completely reasonable. I am not criticizing Loma, he has a good resume and I believe he wants the Mikey fight. I was not criticizing Loma, I was simply arguing against your claim that Mikey is ducking.
How can Mikey be ducking somebody that is CURRENTLY not willing to fight him? We know Mikey has had NO OPPORTUNITIES to makes a fight with Loma at this point in time because Loma HIMSELF HAS SAID HE DOESN'T WANT THE FIGHT UNTIL AFTER PEDRAZA. Maybe Mikey ducks Loma, maybe he doesn't, but we won't know until next year because that will be the first time, according to Loma HIMSELF, that Loma will have been willing to fight Mikey.
Also, Mikey as stated that he wants the Lomachenko fight multiple times and so has Robert Garcia. A quick google search will show that.
I dont get how people are too dumb to see that legit the only guy holding this up is Mikey Garcia himself in the flesh and blood.
Sure, he doesnt get along with Arum. OK.
But that doesnt change the fact that one, he talks a big talk but walks nothing.
Two, his brother is even smart enough to say that spence is a dumb idea and lomachenko is a better option.
Three. He ain't tied to no networks and is a free agent. He only has a preference to fight on show. THATS IT. He doesnt HAVE TO.
Four. It's a CLEAR DUCK.
People saying Mikey is bigger. Mikey is more fundamentally sound. Mikey has power up to 140. Blah blah blah. **** non sense. If hes so good why wont he fight lomachenko who is arguably the p4p #1? That would elevate you instantly.
But his supporters say he "has options". He could fight Pacquiao you say? Even us lomachenko fans dont want Pacquiao and neither does loma because we all think, including loma, that hes over the hill. But OF COURSE Mikey wants that guy and you want that guy for Mikey.
Why does the dude NEVER call out lomachenko who is in his OWN WEIGHT CLASS?
Lomachenko has been calling out this dude for a while and now hes pushing it. Wheres mikey? What's he doing? What's he saying?
He ain't saying or doing **** because he doesnt want that fight. Lomachenko is too high of a risk and too low of a reward for someone with an ego like Mikey Garcia.
I would pay good money to watch Loma make Mikey quit. Mikey doesnt have the heart or love of the sport to make it competitive if he starts to lose. Dont kid yourself.
How can you duck somebody who isn't willing to fight you? Loma didn't want Mikey for his first fight at 135 and Loma himself said he didn't want Mikey for his first fight coming back from surgery. If Mikey/Loma doesn't happen after their Pedraza/Commey fights THEN we can start talking about whether Mikey is ducking or not. But at this point Loma is the one who has openly said that he doesn't want the fight until after Pedraza.
Especially when you consider less than a year prior to the failed tests he said he only eats chicken and fish. So he's gotten really drunk decided to eat a few whole cows? I think he should be up against Joey Chestnut!
"“I do two months of strict dieting,” he says, “so after fight night I go for whatever my body is craving. It’s usually sushi. But after that I go home to Guadalajara and indulge in a lot of tacos before I have to start getting in shape for another fight.”
https://www.gq.com/story/canelo-alvarez-real-life-diet
Direct quote from a 2016 article in which he states he eats tacos when he isn't dieting. He starts dieting TWO MONTHS out from the fight. He tested positive in February, which is MORE THAN TWO MONTHS out from the fight, so he wouldn't be dieting at that time.
Do you intentionally lie all the time or are you just ignorant?
Considering whole cows are injected with a lot less PEDs than the amount humans inject for performance aspects, Canelo would've had to eat several whole cows in a short space of time for anything to flag up. Highly unlikely he did, but it's a nice excuse.
You have 0 idea what you are talking about. Keep your dumbass ignorance to yourself.
Canelo didn't throw a punch until :40sec into the fight, backpeddled the entire time & was outlanded 10/23 to 15/33 by Golovkin (both lowest outputs of the fight). Tough to land combinations when your opponent is straight running away. Golovkin had the ring generalship, effective aggression, not to mention he out-landed Saul by 50% in that opening round. Some people often score the 1st round poorly since the fight just started & they tend to go more with their preconceived notions until things start warming up.

Stop quoting compubox numbers as if they're accurate ffs. There is NO WAY golovkin landed 15 punches in round one. Half that number and you're close to the real number.
Also is there a reason you added a random clip of GGG swatting at air?
I think it was only the Corrales fight where he was not favorite.
Crawford, Lomachenko, GGG, Usyk, Garcia, I like fighters that want to prove themselves.
All of those guys have been the favorite in every fight they've had...
Majority of boxers and trainers (and the judges) thought Canelo won, Majority of casuals and journalists thought Golovkin won. I'm glad my opinion aligns with the group that actually KSAB :boxing:
Shocker!
All but two are Mexican and the other two are not white.
Playing the race card, embarrassing :nono:
Canelo spanked that boy :spank: Actual boxers think Canelo won, journalists/fanboys think GGG won. I wonder whose opinion matters more :boxing:
in my experience, he likely already had to make the jump the one class, so used it as an excuse to jump two classes.
"I jumped two weight classes" sounds a lot better than "I couldn't make weight anymore, then jumped one class"
and all good man. Appreciate the apology.
He was making 119lbs as a grown man with a fully developed body (26 years old) with SAME DAY WEIGH-INS. It is extremely unlikely he was struggling to make 122lb and to my knowledge there has been no indication from Rigo or his camp that he struggles to make 122lbs.
I think Hunter and Ward even picked Rigo. Ward said he’d school Loma and like most they said size didn’t matter due to Rigo skill.
Why do you keep lying? First you said Mikey and Robert Garcia predicted Rigo to win EVEN THOUGH they are both on video saying they think Lomachenko will win.
Now you are saying you 'think' Hunter and Ward picked Rigo even though No prediction from Andre Ward can be found, and Virgil Hunter is on record saying he thought Lomachenko would win.
'Trainer Virgil Hunter says Lomachenko has to be viewed as the favorite to beat Rigondeaux tonight based on his size. Hunter thinks it’s going to be hard for Rigondeaux to overcome Lomachenko’s size advantage in the fight.
“If you logically think, you have to pick Lomachenko because of all the advantages he has,” said trainer Virgil Hunter to Dontae’s Boxing Nation. ”First and foremost, starting with the size. Rigondeaux had to move up 2 weight classes. It’s quite obvious the advantages lie in his court,” said Hunter.'
Why do you keep lying? First you said Mikey and Robert Garcia predicted Rigo to win when that was FALSE (they both said they favored Loma to win).
Now you are saying you 'think' Hunter and Ward picked Rigo when Virgil Hunter is on record saying he thought Lomachenko would win.
'Trainer Virgil Hunter says Lomachenko has to be viewed as the favorite to beat Rigondeaux tonight based on his size. Hunter thinks it’s going to be hard for Rigondeaux to overcome Lomachenko’s size advantage in the fight.

Rigondeaux had to move up 2 weight classes. It’s quite obvious the advantages lie in his court,” said Hunter.'
Here's the main difference:
Rigondeaux was a career 122lber. Welterweight will be Garcia's FIFTH weight class.
Lomachenko may have been two weight classes higher but he had not long moved up from 126lbs. Spence is a BIG welterweight who is really more of a natural 154lber, so Garcia will essentially be moving up THREE weight classes from 135lbs. And yes, he may have fought at 140lbs before but he is clearly a natural 135lber.
The equivalent scenario here would have been Rigondeaux moving from his third weight class (130lbs) up to his fifth (140lbs) to take on the biggest guy there who is also hungry, undefeated and most people's number one in the division. Think Crawford before he moved up.
Imagine Rigo vs. Crawford. THEN you would have seen the same concern for Rigondeaux.
To put it simply, the two situations are not the same.
The difference is Rigo turned pro much later than Mikey. Rigo was still making 119lbs with SAME DAY WEIGH-INS at 26 years old. Rigo is a really small guy.
Identical fight with Canelo v Salido, do you think Salido would have won on any cards ?
And no ref would allow Nelo to get hit in the nuts that much and expect to work again - Nelo would have been up on the cards at the point of Salido's DQ.
Judges and ref can make a difference.
Canelo would've KO'd Salido **** you talking bout the cards for lol...
