The IBF has a 10 lb mandatory limit. Because jacobs cheated and skipped the weigh in against ggg and now he's forced to comply with the rules all of a sudden jacobs is now being weigh drained. LOL.
lmfao facts and you forgot to mention CANELO has to meet the same rehydration limit lmfao.
these nerds know nothing abotu boxing.
Come on man think about what your saying. If one man is naturally bigger than the other it stands to reason that this stipulation will affect his performance more than his opponent's. Danny knows this that's why he skipped the IBF weigh in for the Golovkin fight. Yeah both guys are under the same rules. Yes Danny agreed but don't pretend that the weight cut isn't going to affect his performance.
So deep on Borat dick he needed treatment after this too:

Hi sit on a soldering iron my ducked up friend.
why can't we just make it so canelo can weigh what ever he wants and jacobs has to weigh 160? canelo is the cash cow after all. why is this such taboo? everythin else is rigged so why not?
What kind of fight do you anticipate canelo fighting? Cautious or coming forward. I foresee caution to begin and then walking jacobs down round 8 onwards.
Canelo has nothing to worry about regarding Jacob's. He will box or fight, whichever he likes and win clearly.
No he just doesn't need to be dehydrated.
Jacobs weighted 170 pounds against Derevyachenko and you still crying?
If he is dehydrated because that, then he need to fight in 168
Right?
Canelo is fighting against a 168 pounds?
Good.
--- Hey Junior, what, you Rip Van Winkle now?
WBC just instituted it. Why boxing fans always gotta be the dumberest of the dumbest?
so is it the wbc that's also imposing the fine if a fighter exceeds 10lbs? it seems to me, being ineligible to fight for their belt would be the extent of their reach on the issue. the fine could have been part of the negotiations. in any case, this was something that was negotiated into the contract, whether it's a sanctioning body rule or not.
At what time is the weight restriction valid from and till?
Because if the weigh in is morning of the fight, there's still 12 hours to balloon up.
Whichever way, both men are not entering the ring as middleweights.
I believe there should be rehydration clauses for all fights. No one rehydrates past the next weight class. Canelo has been allowed to blow up after weigh-ins against Cotto, Khan and other opponents, he should have to follow this rule for all fights, same goes for Jacobs or any other fighter.
Jacobs weighted 170 in his last fight and he looked good, dropped his rival
Jacobs needs more weight to beat Nelo?
No he just doesn't need to be dehydrated.
You can't compare Lemieux and Jacobs, both are different humans
Jacobs weighted 170 in his last fight
What's the fu.cking problem ?
Saying they should not sanction the fight was a bit over the top I will admit. However Jacobs won't be fighting at full capacity. Under the WBC rules since they haven't changed yet he did not have to cut weight. The IBF doesn't require him to cut weight either.
Thats not how it works, you rehydrate basically fully overnight, starting after the weigh in and the body is mostly done rehydrating in the morning of the fight, you might gain a couple more lb, but thats it. Thats why Jacobs dropped the IBF weigh in and said goodby to a major world title belt to have that massive advantage.
Jacobs was 176 in the morning and 180 in the ring vs GGG according to Conte. 16lb overnight and only 4lb from morning to the actual fight: https://www.boxingnewsresults.com/2017/03/golovkin-vs-jacobs-weight/
Jacobs has to be extremely careful to only gain max 10lb overnight since he is such a huge middleweight.
Theres a reason Team Canelo put that into the contract, they saw how big Jacobs was vs GGG and they dont want to face that version of Jacobs.
You people claiming it means nothing is just weird.
Jacobs weighted 170 in his last fight and he looked good, dropped his rival

You mean it's good for Canelo but bad for Jacobs. The rehydration stipulation that is proposed by the WBC is supposed to protect fighters from brain trauma because of excessive dehydration. How his this 170 limit put in by team Canelo benefiting Jacobs who is a big Middleweight. Jacobs was foolish to take this fight under those circumstances. . I understand it's huge money but very risky. The WBC should not sanction this fight. Lemieux who is smaller than Jacobs had to cancel his fight because he was too dehydrated.

He’s referring to the IBF eule that’s been on the books as long as I can remember.
The WBC is following suit with a similar rule, but haven’t enacted it yet.

Straight ether.
I don't mind as Jacobs has a history of not complying with the agreement.
It wasn't cheating but it was very misleading when he did it to GGG. GGG prepared to fight under a certain set of rules and Jacobs intentionally misled GGG as he had no intention of complying with the rules.

Jacobs fought with the same stipulations versus Deveryanchenko and he looked fine.
So
Canelo is fighting against a 168 pounds ?
You haters are funnies...
Canelo against Jacobs both in 170 pounds it's good
