I see a lot of talk about Mayweather and Lomachenko and I think it’s blasphemous. Does Loma even have a better name on his resume than Diego Corrales? Let’s be honest for a minute. He got dropped by Linares and lost to an almost 40yr old Orlando Salido who had 10+ losses. He beat Rigo but Floyd beat Marquez under the same circumstances, I believe it was an even bigger leap for Rigo than it was Marquez. Also Marquez>Rigo. His fans like to bring up the amount of fights he has but are we really giving him credit for staying in the amateurs for so long and feasting on young kids? Why take shots at Floyd because he’s hands down the better Athlete and Businessman? We all seen pbf at 135 he was stronger, smarter, and more explosive than Loma and that’s just facts.

Floyd was a special fighter, and had a hell of a career.
The kind of fighter you get once per generation or so.
Loma might end up at the same lofty heights, when his career is done and can be viewed in total. Almost no-one else currently has that same potential. Will he get there? Who knows.
Floyd didn’t stay in the amateurs until he was 25 to avoid legit competition either. It can’t be trolling if more than 3 people agree with me. You’re trolling by even trying to put up an argument. There is no argument. Floyd>Loma. Get over it
When someone says things like that - "to avoid legit competition" about 2-times Olympic Champion, his credibility and impartiality is judged correspondingly...
I think it's highly unfair to compare Loma to Floyd. Floyd will be remembered as one of the greatest boxers of all time. Floyd had 50 fights, Loma just finished his 14th.
Let's not turn Corrales into an unbeatable monster. Clottey beat the hell out of him and Castillo knocked him out. Loma has fought and easily defeated better fighters than Corrales. How long was Corrales ever able to keep a title? Russell jr is still champ. I think Loma could beat Corrales in his prime with his combination of speed, skill and power.
Get your tongue out of floyds ass for a minute and be honest with yourself. What loma has done after 14 fights easily eclipses what Floyd had done at that stage of his career.
What loma has done by the age 31 is far below what Floyd had achieved at that stage of his career. 5 weight world champion with wins over ODLH, Hatton, Judah, Corrales, Castillo and Hernandez. Loma hasn't come close to those accomplishments.
Considering Salido was near 40 when he fought Loma in the first fight of course I wouldn’t pick him in a rematch. Loma got beat by a 37yr old journeyman tbh. That’s the consequence of wasting your prime years in the amateurs.
He did waste some years in the amateurs, but at least he tried to make up for it by stepping up his competition early. If he turned pro earlier, he probably would have followed the route most boxers follow...facing a bunch of tomato cans and gradually stepping up. The fight with salido was every bit as close as Floyd vs Castillo, the decision favoured one and not the other. If that’s all that separates the situations, then basically it’s commending one guy and trashing another over a roll of the dice.

There is no argument. Floyd>Loma. Get over iti never said who was better. How can they even be an argument when Lomas career isn’t even over yet. Lmao.
I just shot holes in your trolling. Comparing Marquez moving up to Rigo moving up and saying marquez has less of a jump when the guy he fought didn’t even make the catch weight. Then calling salido a journeyman lmao. Then saying Salido was 37 when he fought loma.
You need to step your troll game up.

If u gonna call salido a journeyman then u gotta say the same about Castillo.
That Floy didn’t fight anyone best saludo level his first 10 pro fights and that your trolling

But he lost to Salido. He didn’t win. What are you closing?

Age doe. If it was just about age and not pro experience, loma would have beat Salido. I mean, if they rematched, would you pick salido? The answer is no if you’re honest. Loma learned more from that fight than fighting 10-15 no hopers...he just wasn’t fortunate with the decision. And, I was talking about Castillo, not corrales. It’s a better comparison to loma vs salido.

Loma was scared to turn pro for one reason. And that's Salidoe.
Deal with it. Your boy is a hype train.
Salido doe. Doe doe doe. Salido doe doe. Doe doe doe
Doe doe doe.
But.
Salido doe doe. Salido? Doe doe doe.
Lol Lomachenko has not beaten any p4p fighters. Corrales was p4p when Floyd beat him. Short answer is no. Long answer is heeeeeeeelllllllll no. Closest is Walters. But wtf happened to this man?
I'm just amused that all these people posting act like they're true amateurs who are just score board children.
Lomachenk lost against Salido doe. Doe doe doe. Salido doe doe doe.
It was his 2nd pro fight and his style at the time was not adjusted for the pro ranks. Does anyone think the Lomachenko now would still lose in a SPLIT DECISION where he legit almost knocked out Salido in the 12th round?
Even with the weight advantage and the 100 low shots these people want to act creditable like the result would be the same? Do they really think the fight was called fair?
These same dudes jump on Mayweathers and Canelos dick despite them both having fights they should have clearly lost. Castillo. Maidaina. Trout. Lara. GGG. PBF has power in both hands they say. Blah blah blah they say. Yet, unlike Lomachenko didnt get gift decisions against "C level fighters" like Castillo.
Lomachenko was gonna get robbed vs Linares and still knocked him out with one arm. Dominated 11/12 rounds against Pedraza. Dominated Crolla in 4.
All in a weight class he doesnt even belong in.
These same dudes say Lomachenko has no power and is a pillow puncher. But come on man. Look who has more KOs.
People are petty asf because you dont even care about the facts, you only care if the facts fit your agenda. Not even a boxing fan. A boxer fan.

Age 27(Loma) vs Age 23(Floyd)
Loma was 27 when he faced Salido. Floyd was barely in his prime at 23 when he fought Corrales. Got ya

2nd fight vs 28th fight...Floyd, and 99% of fighters for that matter, never face an opponent like that so early in their career for a reason.
