Easy. Muhammed Ali. His style made him the 'greatest of all time' and no one (as a hvyweight) has been able to mimic. As a matter of my own opinion, trying to be like Ali has got alot of big men Ktfo'd.
why all of a sudden Floyd gotta be glass jawed?? I seen him rocked ONCE. Against "ChopChop" at his 1st fight at 140. We seen what DeMarcus did to Cotto. Everybody gets rocked( tho i can't recall seing X shaky).
Whatever u may think of the man's character u have to admit his skillz are phenominal. Top notch quickness, defensive wizardry, and puts punches together like the best of em. Power....forget that, he more than makes up for it with the speed generated and he's put some pretty tough guys on the canvas. Remember when the brawl with Emmanuel Burton/Augustus??---who later gave it to Ward---who gave it to Gatti.
If Floyd can conquer thru 154, he definately gets my vote for top 5 p4p to add on to what Kimmy said.
Pacman would destroy him in one or two rounds.
That would be a bad match-up for Pac-man who is constantly coming forward. I've never seen a harder puncher at 126 and below than Naseem. The thing with the Barerra fight. Prince was a flat-footed stalker throwing one punch at a time. From sparring a measly 12rds to not doin road-work then getting hit with that beer and not doing the flip, it was bad times for Naz whom i credit for renewing my love for 'TheSweetScience'as a whole again and not just the heavy-weights. But with Pac-Man,
Manny would get caught imo opinion and Naz' power was extraordinary.
Ali the greatest LOL!! You mean the Ali that didn't have the guts to serve America when his draft number was called, yet had no problem profiting off of that same capitalistic system which he refused to defend.. Then the liberal media pawns it off as bravery and courage!!
Yeah the same Ali that after winning Gold, still had to get his meal out the back door.
Yall actin like Winky a bum. Remember nobody thought X was gonna do what he did against Tito. I think Winky has the skills to change his style. But he won't be used to it and it will only be good for a few rounds.
what were forgetting is tito looked alot better than
anyone would of imagined possible.he was incredibly
accurate instead of wild like he was against vargas.
mayorga wasnt hard to hit thats true but he still
turned in a masterclass performance thats made
everyone sit up and take notice of tito again
md tito or late ko tito
Tko-5. tito looks ready to plus it will be Winky moving up in weight.
duh. And 168 is full of fighters who just get by. RJJ vs. Calzaghe would be a good fight at this point. Maybe Hopkins could go over there, Glenn Coffe. Joe just better stay away from Tarver.
I agree^^
IMO Margarito should hope to Zab or fight Vernon Forrest, Ike Quartey, or try to get lucky and catch Hatton. PBF vs. Golden Boy has to happen now. PBF like Oscar came from 130. A catch-weight of 150 would even out the bigger/smaller weight situation. At 147, Mayweather is too quick and too hard to hit for Oscar. At 154 Oscar has the advantage. But Floyd still has a shot. I see something like the Whitaker fight only Floyd should have more pop. And Dela Hoya may not be as hungry. The fight will be legendary.
All the pieces fell into place. Holyfield was probably gettin a lil panocha on the side at those times. He looked tired. Maybe his heart or shoulder was bothering him. IMO, he didn't look healthy. Moorer IS a southpaw with quick fists who was the underdog with something to prove. Teddy Atlas did a good job in the corner.
All in All, i still think Holyfield should have kept his title that night. In the rematch, Moorer looked like a bum.
i think differently. Bryd needs to take this fight as Vladimir is on a downward spiral. I think Bryd could ko him in the middle rounds. He needs to take time off. Saying this Bryd also has looked shaky lately. They are both B-fighters anyways ImO and no threats.
are we serious here?? I'm glad the fight didn't happen.
I love my Foreman grill. Tyson was too young, quick, hit too hard, had too good a chin for George. And Foreman was too slow. Remember how Evander touched George?? If that were Tyson......................
Kostya/Mayweather 2
4-Rafeal Marquez
5- PacMan
6-Vitaly
7-Johnson/Tarver
9-Winky Wright
10-El Terrible/Baby Faced Assasin
On the outside lookin in are James Toney, Zab Judah, Wayne Braithewaite, and Tito Trinidad.
If Trinidad gets by Winky, i don't think Hopkins will be able to stop him. That night 4yrs ago was just not the one for Trinidad. It seemed like he threw 15 punches a round and tried to outbox an ol' skooler...not.
On tommorrow night. I think Tito's too strong for the type of fight Wright brings. That standing in the pocket shit with ya arms up is not a smart move against the Puerto Rican. He better have the pep in his step like Willie or end up like Joppy.
5000
no.no.
If u watched the fight u saw that Judah had the skills to compete with Kostya fighting an intelligent fight. Round one was easy for Zab. Had Tszyu reeling, then he got overconfident and started dropping his hands. He was hit with the perfect punch. And got up. Saying this i'd still pick KT in a rematch but yall actin like Zab has no shot in hell. Plus it wouldn't be an immediate rematch. ANd unlike, Spinks, he has regained some glory being that he has won the title after the KT loss.
Cotto being relaxed is no problem. PBF is the best fighter in the world NOT named Bernard Hopkins but he has the thing that will be the fall of X........SPEED. He's already got all the tricks all the punches, can go in the trenches with them all and could win a round w/o punching like Willie Pep. Yall got Cotto confused with someone who has beatin a contender. Tszyu will destroy him.
maybe top 10. Evander Holyfield, Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, Oscar De La Hoya, and Sweet Pea def. are ahead of him in my. book and i could go down in weight and add more.
1. The Executioner - 20 def. of middleweight championship. hasn't lost in 10 years. Ko'd Trinidad when thought to be invincible.
2. Floyd Mayweathter- Undefeated. 130 and 135 champ. Fastest hands in the game. Beat rugged Castillio 2x. Dominated Corrales
3. Kostya Tszyu- Really undisputed at 140. 1 loss last millenium. A machine who is always ready with crushing power. Quickness underestimated. Ko'd Zab Judah and Sharmba Mitchell.....quick
4. Winky Wright---Hasn't lost in over 5 years. Should be nicknamed "Groundhogs's Day" cuz he does the same thing over and over and dominates conventionally. Holds 2 wins over Sugar Shane Mosely and Shutout Tito Trinidad.
5. Chico Corrales--130 and 135 champ. Currently on best run in boxing with consective victories (convincing) over Casamayor,Freitas, and Castillio. Loss to No.2 on list is the his only legitamate or un-revenged defeat.
6. Vitali Klitscho--Heavyweight champ stands aroud 6'7. Good power quick hands. Has proven he can 'take it'...something rare in hvwyt.div.
Sent LL into retirement.
7.a) Marco Antonio Barrera-great boxer puncher with wins over Naseem Hamed, Erik Moreles(2wice), and Kennedy Mckinney(great fight plug).
b) Erik Morales-same as above with close victories over No. 7.a and 7.c on list.
c) Manny Pacquio- 'Fists of Fury' Holds ko victory over "The Baby-Faced Assasin" or 7.a on list and a controversial loss to "El Terrible" or 7.b on list.
d) Juan Manuel Marquez- Featherweight champ. that got up off the canvas for a third time in round to beat Manny Pacquio over the next 11 rounds earning a controversial draw.............whew
8. Rafeal Marquez- Bantamweight king destroyed Mark 'Too Sharp' Johnson and Tim Austin. No real competion in his own division stall in his rise to #4# glory.
9.a) Glenn Johnson- Lt. Hvwyt. Champ with devasting win over former #4# king Roy Jones Jr.. Also holds controversial dec. win over Antonio Tarver.
b) Antonio Tarver- Former Lt.Hvwyt. Champ who 1st dethroned Roy Jones Jr. as #4# king with a 2nd round ko. ala Canibus.......
Every loss but to Glenn Johnson has been avenged with a ko. Glenn Johnson rematch on the horizon.
10)Zab Judah. 147 Champ. Beat the man who beat the man who beat the man who beat the man..........
The 2nd fastest hands in the game with explosive power. Only un-avenged loss was to No. 3 on list. Experts say he's still getting better.
Paul is like a mix of Hamed and that lefty white kid from Pittsburgh. Only difference is he doesn't have Prince's power or "lefty"'s pocket-styled fighting.
