when floyd was at 130! I heard him saying that after he demolished augie sanchez! but he said he would not go up to 130 to fight prettyboy that floyd would have to meet him at 126 or a catch weight. That would have been a hell of a fight! who would have won that?
Ok i think people are getting mixed up...
Both were calling each other out. After the Augie Sanchez fight (and that KO is one of the best i have seen of all time), he said he will take anyone on and that he plans on being a "legend". He mentioned Floyd Mayweather, and so did Manny Steward who was there at ringside. We are talking like 2000/2001 here.... this is before Mayweather beat Castillo II and when Naz was on the decline. There is an argument in saying that Naz would lose, as at this point in time he was no way near his prime (After Sanchez). Prime Naz was before Kelley... but lets not forget how he dismantled so many after Kelley and including Kelley.
At the time that shit was said, you guys wouldnt be banking your money on Floyd Mayweather for sure. Naz was rated as one of, if not THE best P4P fighter by many (before this site was even set up), and before Barrerra he still appeared invincible. For those who are saying he is overrated, tell me which part of his gameplan is overrated please??
For those who are interested in the real Naz, watch Naz under Brendan Ingle, not Oscar Suarez and Manny Steward, then you will find out the real potential Naz had, which he wasted partly through arrogance and partly through losing Frank Warren and Brendan Ingle who had served him so well....
Like Jose says, the Soto bodyslam was warranted. But i really like how people "conveniently forget" the WWF shit Barrerra pulled off, on that night in Las Vegas...
This thread is a farce. Hamed never called out Floyd. Floyd called out Hamed. Hamed said he would not fight Floyd because he can make millions fighting bums. Clearly aand is a fan of Hamed.
You need to remember though, PBF calls out all the great fighters but never seems to fight them, even if they say yes.
PBF has been a fight dodger for three years now and still his blind fans love him, that must be some kind of record!!!
if naz was so convincingly defeated by MAB, just imagine how easily floyd wouldve dismantled the smaller, slower, less skilled, and ridiculously overrated hamed.
Please.
Soto deserved that Bodyslam he was fighting dirty allnight long.
And yes that was just the WBC dont forget about him winning the IBF or KO'ing the WBA Champ or the WBO champ.
Hey maybe Tom Johnson didn't deserve that uppercut either huh.
He was a good fighter, but not a great one. Barrera exposed him, and then he fell off the face of the Earth, so what you're saying is true, but at the same time, he was not a great champion, and would get pummeled by Mayweather even worse than the beatdown Marco Antonio put on him.
Rippuh .. so, we meet again, on the same day.
That is the shit for sure. Naz was a bully full stop. He didn't like to get hit, so Barrera was his complete fucking undoing man. All Naz can bring to the ring now is a shell of the "Prince". But, let's imagine that a Prime Prince could suddenly appear on the Feather scene. Doesn't fucking matter, 'cause any of the top guys would beat him on any combination of heart, skill, conditioning, dedication, desire, reflexes, power, endurance, strength, chin, whatever. Naz was never a complete package 'cause his mind was never there. He liked beating-up guys, full stop. He was never dedicated to the sport. He saw it as a Naz Fest, but Barrera didn't sign-up for that circus.
Thank you. Barrers destroyed the so-called "Prince". Princess Hamed would get beaten even worse by Mayweather. That dude is all talk, and he would get his ass handed to him by Pacquiao, Morales, Marquez, and just about every other true champ from that era, and this one. I love to watch the guy fight, don't get me wrong, but the Barrera fight showed that it was all just hype. If he comes back, he won't do shit.
Please.

Just face it, dude. Hamed was WAAAAYYYY overrated. How can a professional fighter body slam his opponent and not get DQ'd? Yes, ask your boy Hamed. He won the WBC title afte body slamming Cesar Soto in the ring. The ref didn't do sh!t. Hamed sucks.
:lol1: Floyd who?
Mayweather began his amateur career at 106lbs. He stands at 5'8" and walks around at 146lbs. Where are you getting your information? :lol1:
Pffft
what Floyd weighted when he was 12 dont count.
Lies
Hamed also started his pro career at 115lbs and he was only like 4'8 to begin with while Floyd stands 6'2 and walks around at 170+

4lbs? I guess that's why Floyd asked him to meet at a catchweight of 128lbs. Still Hamed turned him down.

Hamed KO 1 Little Floyd.
Floyd was just way to big for Hamed and knew that, Thats the only reason he called him out.

Hammed is making comeback, basing on his recent weight they can still fight somewhere near 140 or 147lb.
