Yes, I am Manny Pacquiao. I am so very happy I win against promoter. He admit he stealing money from me and buying many candies and chocolates. He knowing he can't lie because the evidence is in his mouth.http://www.boxing-pics.com/nj_hof2003/hof018.jpg
That is why he settling outside the court. :D
i heard someone say that Barrera had surgery on his head or something before the fight with Pacman, is this true?
Barrera should rematch Pacman :boxing:
Yeah, Barrera had a surgery on his head about 7 years before he fought Pacquiao. Then it came out right before the Pacquiao fight. There were a bunch of negative stuff happening during training camp for Barrera. I think he was at least a little distracted. He had a change of staff, wild fire in Big Bear, and that surgery thing brought up by his former trainer. That night most of it was Pac but the distraction had to play some part. But there's only one way to find out. That is to have a rematch and give both guys to prove that is was or wasn't a fluke.
after this fight with peden i hope barrera starts to step up his competition. hopefully he will fight paquiao, chavez, hernandez, even marquez (if he was to come up in weight) after this fight.
this is what happened to barrera before pacquiao beat him, he waas fighting average fighters who didnt even belong in the ring with him and then when he fought pacquiao he struggled.
i expect barrera to win comfortably, perhaps with a late KO
Wasn't the Chavez v. Hernandez fight the eliminator to see who fight Barrera?
Manny Is Too Overrated....he Is A One Trick Pony And I Know Kelly Or Famoso Would Easily Defeat Him...all You Have To Do Is Box Him..manny Hits Hard But He Lacks The Intelligence To Adapt...he Only Fights To Set Up His Left Power Punch...he Doesn't Go To The Body Enough ..he Doesn't Know How To Counterpunch... And He When Is The Last Time You've Seen An Uppercut..it's Nonexistent...he Has To Get Rid Of Loser Roach And Get A Quality Coach That Could Teach Him Stuff Not Cheerlead Like Roach Does...
Let's say that Pac is a one trick pony, but c'mon man that's one hell of a trick. I don't know about Kelley coz I've yet to see him fight. Hernandez on the other hand is not as refined as Marquez or Morales. So he'll have a little more problem dealing with Pac. I wouldn't say Famoso will "Easily Defeat Him".
If he does return he should fight at a lower weight class Jr. Middle at most. Coz' right now Winky is at Middleweight and we found out that Tito can't get past him. So getting that crown at that weight right now is really close to impossible.
Yo. I was very impressed. I thought we were gonna have another upset tonight. The fight in general was very exciting. The only thing about that Torres fell short on was he didn't attack the body at all when he had Cotto in trouble to set up his head shots.
I also have to give Cotto props for being honest and saying that was the closest he got to being KO'd and for coming back strong everytime he got out of trouble. Props to the Boricua for that.
Nacho is the best trainer.
I gotsta second that. The guy kept Juan Manuel Marquez calm after them three knockdowns and simply said what had to be done and Marquez did it and salvaged a draw. Plus he got Rafael Marquez who is also a phenomenal boxer.
Taylor still needs a lot improvement to become the #1 P4P. It took Hopkins about ten years to prove he belonged on the top of the hill. Let see how many defenses Taylor makes and who defends his belts against then we'll decide, starting with first defense against B-Hop, if that happens.
For me, just me, I'd take the loss or win. Just because a draw sucks. It's like your in limbo, you didn't win and you didn't lose. It's like you didn't fight at all. Just my opinion.
taylor neva hit hopkins with a flush shot the whole fight ..he rolled with all the right hands and the few hooks was high on the head... to a fan u could say hopkins wasnt robbed..but to a schooled boxer or anybody that knows the game taylor lost ..he got beat up a lil bit too..hopkins aint have a scatch
True that Hopkins wasn't hit with a flush shot, but he didn't do anything for the first half of the match and that's what cost him the fight. For the first half Taylor was just being the agressor and judges takes note on that. And unfortunately judges aren't "schooled boxer".
I was actually surprised that they gave the split decision to Taylor most of the time they give it to the champ. I guess HBO is just trying to get rid of Hopkin's boring ass. I'm not saying its right, but I just think that's what went down.
Its all cool though there's a rematch clause. It'll be cool to see them late this year or early next for the rematch. Then the winner fights Winky.
The question is does Taylor have the power to go through Winky's defense. We all know Winky can cover up really well, but he will still feel the punches if Taylor is strong enough. I felt that Trinidad and Mosley just lacked power and size to do any damage when they fought Winky. Gotta keep in mind that this could be the first time Winky is fighting somebody his own size or bigger. Now I think if Taylor can hurt Winky through his guard or just make him taste his power then it'll be an easier night for him. On the other hand if he can't it'll be a long night
That's the beauty of being in Hopkins shoes. If he losses people will just say he's too old, which in my opinion, is a pretty valid reason. Going in to the fight Hopkins had really nothing to lose. He's already defended his title for about ten years and he is pretty old in boxing years going against a hungry young, hungry fighter. So I guess what I'm saying is, Taylor just wanted it more.
Just a shame that no ordinary fans can appreciate JMM's mastery of boxing. People want to see action and most of JMM's fight is very one sided. Lot of people find his style very boring.
Now the thing that I don't get is that people will actually watch Ruiz and not watch JMM. That just boggles the mind. I'd rather watch somebody put on a clinic than a hug fest.
I just wanna see Pac fight somebody that is not Mexican(joke-but kinda serious). Guzman is slick enough to give Pac a little trouble. It wouldn't be a boring fight, so why not. I just wanna see Manny fight somebody with a little different style. Most of the people he fought stood in front of him. Guzman has pretty good side to side movement that I haven't seen Pac deal with.
I say make it happen while Pac and Guzman are at the top of their game. Guzman is already 30 yrs of age and ain't getting younger. I say let them fight.
Mexican-wannabe, LOL, thats a good one. You mean like the penoy -mut- wannabes flipside and asianthewigger, lol, at least i have full Mexican blood unlike these two muts. Smiley do your thing.....:owned:
What do you mean mut? Coz' ain't nobody pure no more. And what you mean by full Mexican blood? Do you actually believe that Mexican is a pure race? Think about it buddy. There is no such thing as a pure race and there's nobody in this world that is purebred.
Mexican=Spanish+Indio
I do not think it's unfair. He is the only one that can sign the dotted line; he is the only one who chooses who will promote him. Pac has nobody to blame for signing with Arum but himself.
While it might be true that some people (Finkel and Arum) might have fed him some B.S. line about getting more money, bigger fights, or even fighting in Manila, the fact still remains that Pac has to put his John Hancock on the promotional papers or it's not valid.
Pac should know that GBPs and Arum don't get along. Pac should've weighed his options and done his homework before signing. Also, since he accepted money from GBP, he might get his next fight injunctured by a court as Oscar and Arum battle it out for promotional rights. That's no good for Pac.
Respek. I agree with the post completamente mang. Pac said it himself. I create my own distractions.
Happy B day Jun Fan. People, ya'll need to lighten up. Its a b-day thread. Who cares who the best Martial Artist is(nobody can really prove it). The guy was entertaining to watch.
