I don't knoiw which judge, but on ESPNews they said if this judge had given the 12th to Hopkins ith would have been a draw. I didn't see the fight...is it true that Taylor could have been perceived to have won the 12th?
Definately Hopkins won the 12th round ...
He was basically tagging him with the right all day...
Hopefully for the second fight Jermain will figure out what to do against that counter right... because thats basically the only shot B-HOP landed ...
For me, just me, I'd take the loss or win. Just because a draw sucks. It's like your in limbo, you didn't win and you didn't lose. It's like you didn't fight at all. Just my opinion.
Nah there was no way Taylor won the 12th, but in my eyes there was no way Hopkins won the boxing match.
and there u have it, my thoughts exactly, i dont see how anyone had the fight even after 4 rounds, taylor was way ahead at least winning 5 out of first 6 rounds
Hopkins won that 12th round, but the way I was seeing the fight Hopkins was really behind for doing alot of nothing so the 12th wouldn't of mattered to me, he still would have lost in my eyes.
I hoped it was going to be a draw cause than my 1 million with vbookie would have made me 22 million points. I also thought that the 12th round was very close and could have been a 10-10 round.
lol, you that was YOU i saw that did that... i was thinking about that as they talked about how close it was to a draw.
You guys are making too much out of this, what if one of the judges gave one of those early rounds to hop?We gonna start this thread again?
Taylor won,Hop gets to retire ,and i got my points, everybody wins.
Both guys sucked ass. Hops started too late. Taylor got winded and got really sloppy. Hops won that 12th round. It was a close fight and should've been a draw.
People make too much of the scoring imo. This isn't ping-pong, the score is a guideline to help you determine the winner, and it shouldn't be so sacred. That's why there are three judges making the decision.
People make the same big stink about JMM/Paq but I don't see how anyone could seriously think that Paq was robbed when he let Mraquez come all the way back like that, regardless of the rules. Similarly, since Hopkins did so little in the first half of the fight I don't think he deserves to win, no matter what the technicalities of the point system.
You try to turn boxing too much into a score the most points contest then you end up with shit like Olympic boxing.
I hoped it was going to be a draw cause than my 1 million with vbookie would have made me 22 million points. I also thought that the 12th round was very close and could have been a 10-10 round.
