Guzman calls out Pacquiao!!!!

I write first to congratulate you on a brilliant fight. Second, I write you, Pacman, to remind you that I believe I am the world's best at 130 pounds. I am sure we can agree to disagree and that and that your fans will similarly disagree with mine on that same point. As you know, I am the WBO champion and you are the #1 mandatory. I have a title defense upcoming in my homeland, the Dominican Republic on December 18 as a part of the biggest boxing show ever held there. Should I be successful in that bout, I have made it clear to my manager, Jose Nunez, and to my co-promoters that I want them to work to make Guzman vs. Pacman for March, 2007. There can be no doubt now that you and I are the world's best two fighters at 130 pounds. The question that must be answered is who is the better man in that ring, me or you? I think a fight with Guzman would be intersting...Guzman has speen,accuracy,but I think he lacks power to KO PAC...if PAC puts enough pressure I think that PAC can pull-it off though!

I do not think it's unfair. He is the only one that can sign the dotted line; he is the only one who chooses who will promote him. Pac has nobody to blame for signing with Arum but himself. While it might be true that some people (Finkel and Arum) might have fed him some B.S. line about getting more money, bigger fights, or even fighting in Manila, the fact still remains that Pac has to put his John Hancock on the promotional papers or it's not valid. Pac should know that GBPs and Arum don't get along. Pac should've weighed his options and done his homework before signing. Also, since he accepted money from GBP, he might get his next fight injunctured by a court as Oscar and Arum battle it out for promotional rights. That's no good for Pac. Respek. I agree with the post completamente mang. Pac said it himself. I create my own distractions.

I just wanna see Pac fight somebody that is not Mexican(joke-but kinda serious). Guzman is slick enough to give Pac a little trouble. It wouldn't be a boring fight, so why not. I just wanna see Manny fight somebody with a little different style. Most of the people he fought stood in front of him. Guzman has pretty good side to side movement that I haven't seen Pac deal with. I say make it happen while Pac and Guzman are at the top of their game. Guzman is already 30 yrs of age and ain't getting younger. I say let them fight.

I agree with Old Gringo on this one. Guzman is a hellava boxer. He outbrawled the supposed bigger Barrios & boxed him when he wanted to. Barrios even confessed that Guzman hit alot harder then he thought & was hurt on a few occasions. With that said I would favor Pac slightly, but as we've seen Pac had trouble with a boxer/counter-puncher. Guzman fits that mold but is aggressive & doesn't mind trading. He took big punches from Barrios & was unfazed by it. This matchup sounds great & I would like to see it & wouldn't be surprised if Guzman won.

Actually, after checking up on this fight's posibilities, I've determined that this one won't happen, either. It's all a result of Pac signing with Arum. Guzman is tied, promotionally, to Golden Boy. By Pac agreeing to terms with Arum and screwing Oscar, he screwed himself (and the fans) out of posible fights with JMM, Guzman, and Barrios. Way to go, Pac. Way to let your fans down. its unfair to blame pac on this. arum and gbp has the problem. with much money that's going to be genrated by those possibilities i hope they can work together

Pacman still lifts his feet when throwing power punches. Guzman has a shoulder roll that is just as good or better than floyds. If pacman don't get a knockout guzman wins by UD. Will be a good fight but I still rather see pacman vs MAB JMM vs guzman Winners fight eachother (kind of like a tournament) The thing is Pac can use his right now. I noticed he was throwing hella fast combos and all were loaded. Guzman will wear out the logos on the ring because he will be on the defensive running around all over the ring. Guzman is quick but Pacquiao is quicker. I dunno I think it will be a good fight. I wanna see it.

What for? MAB would be running from Pac all night just like he did againts Rocky. He can't go toe to toe with a power puncher anymore. It would be a bad fight for boxing. Many non-boxing fans will watch it. We had anough bad showcases this year. We don't need another borefest. Mab didn't run he boxed. Running is what de la hoya did in the 11th and 12, that's why he lost those rounds. Marco boxed and that's why he won. He has to do the same againt pacman, pacman is to strong, and I don't think pacman knows how to act when he can't get to his man and make him trade

We don't need another borefest. a respected sport analyst here in Phil said that MAB would be easily KO by PAC in just a 1st round MAB is "too slow" he said :boxing: ..well I agree ..but a 1st round is such an exagg ..may be 1 to 4 rounds though :boxing:
