Being the A side is all about who is the bigger money draw
This won't change
AJ is the A side until he loses and even then, it would have to be a devastating loss, not a narrow decision
Floyd has made mega bucks (10 million plus) in only 1 fight against Oscar. All his other fighters he was making well under 5 million and even then that is only in the last few years.
I would say Floyd has made well under 100 million from boxing. With endorsements etc yeah it may make it upto 100 million but hell it must cost a fair bit to keep his entourage going.
Like a lot of people , Floyd lost a fair bit of cash with the recent economic woes both from property and shares plus as others have stated, he spends money like water
i would say by Floyd's standards he does need a bit more cash.
you can have fun but you still need to work hard
Now more than ever in his career, Roy's conditioning has to be A1. it has to be. He knows Joe has a high workrate, he knows he has to be able to punch for 12 rounds and not take breaks
That 3rd fight with Tarver, he was able to dominate Tarver but only for limited periods of time, not the whole fight.
Honestly, i'd love to see Roy bring in someone like Forrest Griffin to help with conditioning. Forrest has 1/100 of the talent of Roy but got to where he is today through hard work, especially with regard to conditioning
There's a big difference between wanting to win and doing everything humanly possible to ensure the odds of him winning are maximised.
For example, the trip home i thought was unnecessary. That was training time wasted. He has the rest of his life after this fight to spend with his family.
i would have liked to have seen Peter fight 1 more round and really go for Vitali for the KO
if that didn't work then quit but i thought he could have given it 1 more round
Some people had Griffin favourite purely from the weight advantage. A 205er v a 185er
Skillwise it was no contest. Griffin is average talent at best but has heart
MMA has come a long way
the top guys are making GOOD MONEY, in the millions. Outside of Hatton, Pac, DLH and Floyd, no one is boxing is making that kind of money
The official UFC payments mean jack shit. The fighters get a lot more bonus payments even the lower level guys.
Both sports will co exist with neither taking over the other
he's hasnt done enough in boxing to warrant being in ppv & getting title shots in a new division.
.
You obviously didn't take Marketing 101 at college did you mate.
PPVs are market driven. If someone has enough market value to sell tickets and PPV buys, then they get on PPV, simple as that
YOu could have paid your dues 10 times over in a sport but if no one will pay to see you fight, whats the point.
Khan has never gone around saying "i better be on PPV, i better get this exposure, i better get that etc". If he had, then he deserves critiscm but he hasn't , the market has allowed him to earn money and that's not his fault.
I'm looking forward to this fight and i can afford to buy it comfortably so that's not an issue.
If Bhop can school Pavlik like he did then Pac can beat DLH
It's age, speed and stamina v power, size and experience
very intriguing matchup
Fedor would beat any Heavyweight boxer in history in anything resembling MMA rules
He would kill them on the ground
THe only way this can happen is say Fedor fights a Klitchsko under MMA rules and a month later a return fight under boxing rules. The winner being who does better in their 'away' rules.
E.g. if Fedor survived to a decision in boxing but subbed Klitch in MMA, he would be considered the winner
If Klitch survived to a decision in MMA rules but KOed Fedor in boxing rules, hw would be considered the winner
