i dont think lewis will ever come out of retirement though, there are various sources for this, but heres one

The further we get away from 2003 the better Lewis looks in that fight.
Lewis managed to fend off a PRIME-Klitschko. Its a testament to how much better fighters were back then.
If you are trying to hit someone and you actually do it, what is lucky about that? If Vitaly's defense were better he might not have had his face butchered. As it stands, it his own fault he lost because he couldn't get out of the way of those punches causing the damage.
And ironically Lewis was 37 or 38 when that fight happened. The same age Vitali is now. To be honest i didn't think Vitali could make a comeback at 37 but vs Peter well... Anyway he still gets allot of credit because he was the first to stop Peter.
A good question would be however: How would 37 year old Vitali perform against a YOUNG Lewis? :boxing: I think one can make a pretty good assumption based on how the 37-38 year old Lewis performed against YOUNG Vitali.
Guys seriously did you see Lewis at recent HBO shows? His hair is thinning and has receded so much he's almost bald, he's fat, etc..this guy is OLD man there's no way he'll come back. Then again who knows 25 mil is alot but seriously, I know Vitali has a hard on for him but does he really think it'll increase his legacy beating such an old Lewis? He already beat him in most fans' eyes so why does he have to do it again.
I would agree with you but put yourself on Vitali's shoes. After seeing Joe Calzaghe elevated to ATG status after defeating 43 year old Bernard Hopkins he might think this fight still has some meaning. Boxing has hit new lows and seeing people like Forest, Tarver, Hopkins, Hollyfield, Mosley and many more late 30's early 40 year olds still fighting i just won't put on any bets Lewis doesn't return. Don't get me wrong, i do hope he doesn't! I just won't be amazed if he does.
the fight was stopped due to the cut on the eye not the "lips" you dumbass. A cut is caused by a lucky punch, do you know any fighter that can cause a cut at will at any time they want to? Obviously not dumbass because it's pure luck.

oh and put the judges scorecards while you're at it fruitcake ;-) .........if you're man enough that is.
Why would you need to see the score cards? Lewis landed the harder, cleaner more damaging punches. Do you know how I know this? Because Vitaly's face was hamburger at the time he was TKO'd. :smashfrea
no the obvious reason is he retired cause he knew he was on the slide
Exactly. God only knows what kind of beating Lewis would have given him had he still been on top of his game. LORD HAVE MERCY!!!
No the majority know that Lewis won on a technicality in a fight he was being destroyed in. And the majority KNOW that he had promised Klit a rematch but ran into retirement because he knew he lost and Klit would embarrass him a 2nd time.
Yeah, now I know its sour grapes. What is this "technicality" you speak of? Oh, I know, its called the rules. damn rules! If it weren't for them you STILL don't klnow Klitschko would have won. But feel free to keep making assumptions. No matter though. You will never be able to change the FACT that Lewis stopped your hero. Now get over it and move on, Scrotum.
if vitai was dominating as you say muthafuka wudnt of got cut in first place!
a fat, old undermotivated lewis managed to do well against vitali and bust his face open...the cut was nasty and caused by a punch...ref stopped the fight and awarded lewis a TKO ........GET OVER IT.!!! he won the damn fight..and no he didnt send lennox into retirement, lewis was old and wanted to retire on top
Lewis won fair enough, but in a fight he was losing. However he got sent into retirement after promising a rematch, making Vitali wait until he fought and destroyed Johnson, and then he made his decision to retire. Lewis and any Lewis fanboy can clearly see he was the luckiest man on the planet that day. If he had not LUCKILY ripped open that eye he wouldve lost the fight, Vitali with one eye was winning rounds.
The proof behind this is if Lewis truly believed he could defeat Vitali second time around without the help of the boxing gods, and cuts he wouldve rematched him for the 20 million he was offered, and wouldve been good on his promised word of a rematch.
lol, Lewis ATG HOF'er. Vitali, ran into retirement rather than risk another beting at the hands of Byrd.
Lewis got beat, EVERYONE knows it besides his fans. I don't even like Vitali but he won. He basically begged Lewis in the ring to give him a rematch. Lewis said he would and retired. POS.
All Lewis could say over and over was "look at the state of his face".... That didn't mean he was winning. Listen to the commentators, they kept saying BUT LEWIS YOU LOST ALMOST EVERY ROUND and was behind on points, all he could reply with was "look at the state of his face".... while Vatli was yelling "give me rematch, give me a rematch"... Lewis didn't want shit.
I don't care what happened to Vatli after that. I just wanted to see him fight Lewis again. The Klits are more of a champ than Lewis will ever be. I don't even care for the Klits but I give them more respect than Lewis any day.
I wish they would fire is retarded ass from HBO. It is annoying to listen to him mumble stupid shit during a fight. He's the John Madden of Boxing.
Lewis was like 50% for the Vitali fight. I think he did damn well to take the fight without being fully trained up and being an old-ish guy at the end of his career.

Who cares who threw the punch, Vitali can't control how his skin opens up or not but he CAN control dominating and punching the shit out of Lewis and he CAN control WANTING to fight on despite being forced to stop in a fight he was winning and rocking Lewis so bad that Lewis was ready to go any minute. :boxing:
Face it the majority of fans on the street know Vitali really won and sent Lewis to retirement, no matter how many little insecure fanboys like you on here think otherwise.
so then by that same logic, Corrales won the 2nd fight against Casamayor, when diego was stopped for the bad cut in his mouth, right? lol
Lewis did retire cause he knew he was on the slide....he had his hands full with Vitali...he was just good enough the 1st time to get the win....but might not have been the 2nd time...that's not fear despite what some people might think....that's common sense....and I sure wish some other boxers had it in the abundance Lewis did.
This isn't going happen anyway, it's less likely than Tyson vs Holyfield III :boxing:
He'll never come out and do it. Lewis is done and he's got money I mean just from the Holyfield and Tyson fights he's got a huge amount. Dude don't need it, he's livin the good life commentating watchin other dudes give it their heart and soul while he sits back. He's gettin into movies also.
King is grasping at straws. Lewis isn't coming back. He retired with money and dignity, let him be.
I completely agree. Leave the man alone in relaxing in retirement enjoying the sport from the other side of things.
....Hell, what does big Len have to lose? It won't tarnish his image and he gets to make 25 million for about 4-5 rounds of work. If not, then Vitali is going to hound him into his grave for a rematch. Lewis should just go for it and take the payday.
You and I would agree, but I doubt Lennox would. He's got plenty of money, doesn't like to train, and most of all, his pride wouldn't survive being beaten down by Klitchko, whom he called a bum numerous times, and predicted every opponent he's had since Lewis himsef to beat him.
I'd let Vitali beat on me for 25 rounds for 25 mil....but Lennox won't risk it. And hell, even if he did, he's what...42, 43 now? Any win by Klitchko would be meaningless, and greeted with jeers and the standard hater bullshit we already see. Why bother?
I'd rather see Vitali pound on Haye, if David manages to make it past Barrett (I have no small amount of doubts about that itself). The guy (Haye) has talent, speed, power, but no technique that's viable in the HW division. On top of that, his big mouth drives me crazy, and I'd like to see it shut.
Lewis won't come back, if he does, I wouldn't blame him, not for 25 million dollars. That is a very large sum. It would make for a good fight again.
that's 25 million pounds.about 45 million.
