No other boxing PPV this year has done anything remotely decent in PPV buys
UFC 91 which featured Randy Couture v Brock Lesnar got 800K buys. They were hoping for million plus but given the economy that's a good figure
Can Pac v DLH surpass that figure ?
they dont tally ppv number internationally and the fight is free in the philippines.
DLH will bring in his usual million pac will bring in 300k plus the casual fans prolly around 1.5.
Well if that's the case, I'm saying 850K-900K.
I dunno about elsewhere but here in Australia the DLH Pac fight is $50 and UFC 92 is priced at $34.
So Boxing still makes more money if the PPV buys are even.
I think Pac/DLH would do big numbers internationally. No doubt.

The way Omaplatas are supposed to look.
I'm surprised he learned from Jorge Gurgel.
Gurgel = :lol1:
He's had more 2nd chances than just about anyone except Couture himself. He's Strikeforce's problem now though.
those are good numbers for ufc . . . but people really like their captain america. it think pac dlh will outsell it. i cant believe ufc is still getting those numbers the last cards and fights havent even been that good imo.
I agree that on paper they haven't looked that good, but UFC 91 was probably top 3 as far as great events go, IMO. 90 was good as well, the Sherk vs. Griffin fight was great, very technical by MMA's standard and Thiago Alves proved that he's the new man to beat at 170.
DLH vs. Pacman will top both though, no doubt in my mind.

Way off topic, but that Hazelett sub was disgusting. Can't believe that guy is only 22yo.

half of that 800k was from WWE fans who just wanted to see brock and dont really give a sh!t about MMA. take those WWE fans away and you hav average ppv numbers.
Yes.
550k.
How much did Cal/RJJ make again?

that's not really fair because lesnar brought all the wwe people w/ him.

Sure the economy blows but think about it...JMM-Pac did 400K this year and you add DLH who is well DLH, how many Boxers in the U.S. can draw 30K to a live fight vs a nobody...NO ONE...This fight has alot of casual fans intrigued and it is the casual fans that drive PPV's, I think it should do a Million PPV buys!
lmfao, even mexicans who never liked dlh would laugh at your face for saying some stupid shit like that.. if they aint supporting dlh then they aint watching the fight, could careless.
Sorry but what chups said is true. A lot of mexicans, including fighters will support Pacquiao in his fight vs De La Hoya. Dont believe me? Go to the univision boxing forum and ask for yourself. Maybe mexican-americans will support De La Hoya, but most mexicans from the country are with Pacquiao.
