This fight should be another great. However if it is anything like their last, it will go to JMM this time around. They are done riding PAC, it showed on the still joke of a decision against Bradley.
Seriously! When Pac had 2 close fights with JMM, nobody was talking about how he was exposed or overrated. Some had Pac winning both fights, while some had JMM winning, while some had it a split. Pac moves on and completely destroys/shuts out his next 7 opponets. Diaz, Oscar, Hatton, Cotto Clottey, Margarito, and Shane. He shuts out Shane 12rounds to 0, even drops him, and somehow the haters claim he was exposed! On the same token, they claimed Floyd put on a masterpeice against Shane although Shane almost put Floyd's head in the 3rd row.
This here tells you how high the haters hold Pac. First he was this undestructable steroid freak, and now that he had a tough close fight with his nemesis, he's on the decline, shot, exposed, cycling off peds, etc..... LOL. Fact is, Pac and JMM can fight 10 times and it will be close all 10 times. Styles make fights. Was Mayorga a better boxer than Vernon Forrest because he lost to him 2x? Absolutely not.

Khan looks great, he has to make sure that he does not try to knock out Maidana, if he does then the fight will be over quickly. As long as he concentrates on boxing he will win, and he will win convincingly. Maidana is going to try to go hard after Khan's chin, he is an aggresive fighter... He will tire himself out, and there will be stoppage in the later rounds.. I have Khan finishing him in the 8th..

This really sounds like Roach has been in front of a TV set since Martinez knocked out Williams.. Rewatching footage of Martinez and Pacquiao. Hoping he could construct a legitimate strategy to beat Martinez.. Probably not completely certain Pac could beat Martinez until sometime late last night. At which point.. Eureka! Pac/Martinez is the best action fight, has to happen!

I think this would be a good fight, everyone seems to think that Martinez is the better fighter because of the PW fight. Manny would win this fight, I am not saying with ease, but convincingly.

As for the Marg fight with Pac, Pac was hit a good amount of time, and by a much bigger opponent. At one point I believe Marg actually hit Manny more times than he has ever been hit in a round before. After a while that will take its toll on anyone, even Pac. As for Floyd Sr. being a "father," if your so afraid of Manny being on the juice, he just said that he would take a test whenever you would like.. what else do you want. Either way, the fight has to happen, however it will not until after the Mayweather legal drama.
I have a feeling Amir will fight more conservative then usual and will respect Maidana's power way too much. he needs to be spectacular in this fight if he wants to be a superstar and Marcos is an easy guy to look good against he should box him early and go for a KO mid rounds
I agree, if he tries going for an early knockout, he will be caught off gaurd like PW haha.. I would love to see Khan be conservative at first and box well, Maidana will come after him strong because that is his style, as long Khan holds a strong offense, it should be an easy win with his speed in the later rounds. IMO

Pac would have trouble with sergio, he has great power.. however Pac has the speed advantage, but getting into talks about these two fighting is starting to really stretch Pacquiao's limits.. how much higher in weight can he go just to make the "boxing fans" happy? It was clear even though he beat Antonio pretty good, he took some hard punches.. if he goes much higher he is getting himself in trouble..

Arum is saying that they are already trying to get in contact with Mayweather, whether this is true or not, I have no idea. I am not a die hard Pac fan, however I do not believe that he is afraid of him. He is not the one that backed out twice, even after the negotiations started originally, it was Mayweathers team who denied that there were any negotiations in progress. Now the taking blood thing, that was Pac, but not many people want to have their blood drawn before a fight, it doesn't make sense. If Mayweather wants blood drawn before the fight, it should be at least 2 weeks before fight night.
I am definitely agreeing with you, these would be two huge fights, especially with all four men knowing that the winners would fight each other. There are a lot of people that say that Pac is ducking Mayweather, but it is the complete opposite. Arum has said already sine last Saturday that they are in attempts for Pac to fight Mayweather.. however nobody picks up the phone. This needs to happen, has to happen for boxing, I know that I personally do not want to talk about what ifs in a few years. Even still the argument would be weight if the fight came down to martinez vs. Pac... But we will see what happens!
J did a great job, I loved the fact that Cab lost.. However he did look sloppy, I give all the credit to J for being the better fighter that night, he showed a lot of heart.. Cabs punches were getting very wild and J took advantage of that.. good fight to watch.
I'm pretty sure Mayweather would fight Pacquiao before ever fighting Martinez. I say this because Pacquiao being a big risk like Martinez, would bring him A LOT more money than Martinez.

^^^ This is a good post.. along with a few others, these are the comers that can continue to bring excitement.. Along with maybe Williams as well, he is only 29, lets see how he rebounds from Martinez.
It will be hard for him to "carry" the sport when he only has a few fights left in him. I believe he will retire first, but we will see what happens.
In my opinion this fight should not even happen. I dont think Williams is "shot" either. Martinez hit him with a nice shot, in the right spot.. it happens. I think Williams will bounce back just fine from it and hopefully not end up like Hatton after his knockout from Pac. He is a great fighter, and will continue to be great. As for him fighting Pac, this is just to much of a hight and reach advantage. Pac beat Antonio pretty convincingly, but he did get a little banged up, not to mention he is much bigger than Pac and gave Manny the most landed punches he has ever faced in a round.. These bigger guys are going to catch up to Manny, and Paul in my opinion is going a little to far.
Floyd will not be fighting for a while. It has been said on Boxing News that Floyd has "way to much on his plate right now." Because Floyd is in this mess with the law, apparently he will be putting his efforts into straightening that out before training for a fight. He believes that it is a slap in the face to the judges if he starts training for a fight while trying to resolve his issues. Even though I hate Floyd, it is understandable his reasoning about not setting up a fight with anyone.. But we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Agreed. I do not understand why this fight is so hard to put together.. Supposedly Arum is trying to get in contact with Floyd's team.. how much of that is the truth, I don't know. I do know that this fight has to happen. Could you even imagine the hype this fight would bring?? People are talking about the 1.1million ppv orders for Pac/Marg... this fight would absolutely demolish that... It will be great for boxing.
