Well the difference is that you can't fight when you are on the canvas, but you can fight when you are standing and holding your hands up. Many fighters have been allowed to continue in much worse shape, and it wasn't the final seconds of the fight either. Of course it matters how much time is left. he didnt have his hands up he was holding the ropes..

both Cotto and Margarito are too much for Floyd thats why he wont fight them.

I think everybody wants to see this fight happen again. These are the type of fighters that are saving boxing. Cotto was winning the fight but the tide turned in the later rounds. He hit Margarito with his best but he kept coming forward. Question is how will Cottos gameplan differ? I believe the key is to get Margarito backing up. bring a shotgun..

I like this. Really you can spin it however you want but you dont quit. Pavlik, by probably the 8th round knew he didnt have a chance. He could have quit, or he could have had his corner stop it. It would have been accepted too, his corner throws in the towel. "We just didnt want him to take anymore, he was too young and unexperienced for this. We made a big mistake" Hopkins was putting the pressure on Pavlik, he didnt take a knee, he didnt turn away and quit. Cotto was winning, all he had to do was finish the fight. You cant really compare Cotto and Peter to Pavlik. Cotto was not winning the fight, he would have lost by ud it he finished the fight.
