Klitsckos dont match ALi for speed or pure boxing ability.... U cant hit what u cant see, neither does any other modern day heavyweight. On top of that, Ali always had a gameplan that bamboozled oppoenets in his prime, KLitshckos and other modern HW fite with 1 game plan and style, which is why HWs losing their appeal.
Now, Toney is a guy had skills and gameplan. I rekon toney and Holyfield would definitely go full 12 rds wif great ALi.
end of the day, they are all quality fighters, and there really aint much in it.
( i tell u what, i was impressed wif Vitali's kickboxing ability!)
i say Jones wins by a close UD and will probobly hurt Tarver around the 8th
You damn right!
and ya'll must of forgot, P4P champ will make it look easy.
....Toney is a freak of nature. How a guy can gain all that weight and still be so effective and fresh as a daisy in the end is unreal. He is a master craftsman in the ring. I have never liked him but I respect his skills to the utmost. If he was taller he would be a serious threat to the big heavies. As it stands, he is the most skilled heavyweight by far, but his size will not allow him to beat the the true big boys.
its called alot of steroids ad plenty of confidence.
I'm guessing it's one of these two options:
1. Roy has heart.
2. Tarver got tired.
I guess it depends which fan are you going to ask.
Like I said, I like Roy Jones but I believe if that right hook happened in the earlier rounds when Tarver still has full of energy, then Roy would surely have been KO'd. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's my opinion.
1. Roy has heart and guts man!!! id like 2 see any human try to recover and fight on after being concusses/farked up that badly!
when you are put in that position, u will know!!!
theres like so many more better p4p fighters that existed... apologies to those fighters who didnt get a mention e.g. RJJ, sugar Ray Robinson, Kosta Zoo, DLH....
I just watched his 1st title fight against Qawi. This was only Holy's 12 professonal fight, but he whas great. The annoucers where trying to down play Holy the whole fight. After 15 tough rounds I only gave Qawi rd 5 and 15. and if you saw this fight it was toe to toe all night, no clinching. Holy seemed to get the better of the veteran champion all night. This was only the beginning, throughout his career he has always taken the toughest fights available. His resume is almost unmatched. My question to you is who has had a resume as good as or better than Holyfield. Does he deserve to be the highest paid fighter in boxing history which he already is?
Holy's record or boxing credentials, should neva be questioned. He has earned all boxing fans respect plus more... there will only eva be one "real deal".
Like i said did you not see him against tim silvia (6'8). If my memory serves me correctly, which it does he knocked him stupid.
And if you wanna give them the ufc rules that you were implying (kicks) you would have to be crazy to think klitshko could even compete.
This is boxing, not a karate site guys, next topic, talking about karate, kung-fu or whateva ya talkn about is BS.
how would they even get in range to get klitshcko to the ground, man, these guys have few problems to contend with. VK's punch power, his REACH, and ability to kick. I couldnt see MMA guys beating tyson either, cos he wasnt a boxer, he was an animal, hed prolly be banned after one match from biting or something like that.
I dont think MMA guys would have the balls or be in the right state of mind to jump in with tyson.
what about africa, oceania countries: David Tua, Maselino Masoe..., Cuba , eastern Europe ( Russia and surrounding countries).???? and polar bears in artic?
Bozo, that would of been an awesome experience! i envy you! hahhaah
Meeting RJJ would of been insane, i reckon he would of worn thick shoes or something, cos celebrities are not only self-conscious but height conscious, they wanna look tall as possible.
the tall freak looking heavyweights are slowing down boxing literally. Valuev is big, but boring. We need Corrie Sanders back, hes an awesome fighter and heaps agressive, put an awesome fight against klitshcko.
Sam Peters has alot of pressure on him now, but he will deliver the goods. Need more big time heavyweights from around world, not just US. Kali Meehan put spotlight on boxing in pacific region( Aust, NZ, png, samoa, fiji, tonga...) last year with his fite with brewster and rahman.
white gloves make u look faster. apparently black gloves more difficult to pick up with the eye. amateurs wear different color gloves 2 each other, so color shouldnt matter 2 much.
becos blacks, Asians, latinos, mexicans, Islanders, Arabs... etc. are minorities in pre-dominantly anglo-saxon countries, thus, we are odd ones out...... so they can blame shit on us.
"sing it loud, im black and im proud!" James Brown.
its sad boxing has come down to judging and refs, not the fighters abilities. Poor decisions are soo frustrating... full credit to refs and judges who give no bias decisions.I just hope it rubs off on the rest.
Good point, the fight might of been stopped prematurely. Back in the old days, when the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson , JAke La Motta were around, you had to be almost knocked out cold or KO'd snoring. If that were the case, the fight would went longer, till one of the fighters were fully out on their feet.
If Zab concentrated more on discipline and composure than his cockiness and ego he would be far better fighter.... the Tszyu fight pretty much sums it up. Good luck to both fighters.
fans make fights~
Bxoing wolrdwide needs to recognise that boxing involves more than 2 warriors slugging it, the fans and consumers alike make and break champions, plus pay the $$$ for such fights, if the fans demand it, give it to them!!!
