If these two should fight in the next few months, which is unlikely but possible, who do you think would win? From the fights that I have seen of Jermain, he seems very explosive and very patient. He also appears to be a tad bigger than Hopkins. I don't remember seeing Hopkins fight anyone as dangerous outside of Tito.
taylor is a threat, he's young, hungry and powerful. but he's a little too upright and one-dimensional to beat b-hop at the moment, i did'nt see the joppy fight but i've seen alot of taylors fights and he seems to fight at one pace and after 3-4 rounds you can guess which punch or combo he's going to throw next. but maybe when hopkins gets a couple of years older taylor will beat him, nobody goes on forever.
fans make fights~
Bxoing wolrdwide needs to recognise that boxing involves more than 2 warriors slugging it, the fans and consumers alike make and break champions, plus pay the $$$ for such fights, if the fans demand it, give it to them!!!
Even though I would predict a Hopkins victory over Taylor, I remember reading posts that said Taylor needs to beat someone like Eastman before he gets in the ring with Hopkins. Well he did and he won. I think that he'll never get any recognition until he actually fights Hopkins, which probably never will happen due not only to Taylor padding his record but also Hopkins not really desiring this fight. Hell, I'd be surprised if Hopkins fights Tito. He knew De La Hoya would be pretty easy since he is a welterweight and before that he fought Joppy, who after watching him last Saturday, shouldn't even be in boxing.
Will Taylor Take Hopkins?
Taylor is good, but I don't think he is ready for Hopkins yet. Taylor is fast but he makes a lot of mistakes defensively and hopkins will capitalize on them. Taylor still needs to fight some of the top guys in the division before taking on hopkins. I would like to see Taylor against Allen before talking about him and hopkins.
the sad part is he really believes that he was tested but a true legit middleweight
ya poor kid
he'll be shocked when he gets in da ring with a hungry middleweight
I don't know about that one. I know Hopkins is your boy and Taylor is a fighter you are miles away from defending, but I think all of the boos coming out of Little Rock that night gave Jermaine a hint that Joppy was just being a pussy.
Actually, the beginning of the fight is the reason why Joppy turned the tables and started to act like a baby. Didn't you see Taylor level him when they were actually fighting?
ya he dropped him in the 5th and dats when shit changed
but in the like 1st or 2nd jermain was blocken punches like a true first timer

tayor looked pretty scared and amatuerish when joppy was aggresive at the begining of the fight
he put his hands up to block a scared fighter gettin in the ring for the first time
hes open for alot of shots hopkins could see and hit easily
hes just not ready for hopkins
-tito (even old or shot tito would)- ko's taylor
-hopkins outclasses taylor
I think Hopkins would win too, just not straight-ahead. Hopkins would move around and try not to trade very much with Taylor and end up getting a majoprity decision. As for Tito, we need to wait and see him fight someone who is not a freakin pineada.
As soon as Hopkins retire Tito would be there to get the belts or he will win them back after he defeats Sturm and becomes the #1 condenter for all middleweight belts...which means Taylor doesnt have a chance either way from looking at the Joppy fight
No disrespect, but Taylor did the best he could with a "amatuerish opponent". Joppy was getting beat so badly that he gave up and resorted to showboating and staying away. He knew he had no chance. I believe it was Emanuel Steward that said "It's awfully hard to fight someone who's not fighting back".

yeah tito would beat taylor even though i hate both, but Hopkins vs. tito is not to far, since don king's money got tito up to #1 on the wbc middleweight ranking
Yeah I agree with you. It seems like Taylor just wants to fight other fights until Hopkins retires and than he will have a way easier road to travel to get the title. Taylor does need to move up though, he seems like he could match Tarver in weight.
i'd like to see Taylor move up to 175, Hops is never gonna be old enough for Taylor to beat him. Even if Hops retires, with Nard out of the way, Taylor would still have to face Tito, or David Lopez, or some other big puncher with better skills that we haven't even heard of yet
jermain had his chance at Hopkins, he had to fight and beat eastman to become the mandatory for Hopkins 160 WBC crown, but he backed out and took a fight with joppy  rumors are that hes should be fighting at supermiddleweight, i mean what is he waiting for? for Hopkins to get old and he cant get any older than he is already about who im picking to win the fight, i think you might have gotten a hint :D
