I do think Vitali has lost some of his KO power since he returned, im 100% sure unlike wlad he wanted to put Briggs away ASAP, he just couldn't.
that is not to say he doesnt hit very hard though.
There is no way in hell this will end in 1.
My money goes on khan win via cuts. i think he's going to be hitting maidana from so many angles its going to slash his face wide open. Maidana is going to be a big big challenge though, and it wouldn't shock me if this went the other way.
have only watched like 3 of his fights, so i may not be the most qualified to rate him.
ortiz he looked an 8
kotelnik he looked a 5
chop chop he looked very basic 6
i don't think so, Shane is very very good, but Floyd just that little bit to good at throwing the pace off. To be honest the referee didnt help SSM as floyd was hanging on to Mosely for dear life, when he shouldve been made to break.
Floyd will get beat if he sticks around for another 2 years, i think he's starting to slow a bit now...though unfortunately i still have him beating pac if they ever get it on
The whole Cintron thing left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm amazed this incident hasn't been looked into more closely, reeks of scandal and untold truths to me. (probably shouldn't suggest betting rings for legal reasons :fu2:)
He claims to be the most avoided man in boxing....then tried to stay away from a Martinez rematch which was possibly his biggest fight out there...
thats enough reason for me to dislike him at the moment.
They need to do the extra's to justify a 1 fight card really though!
in all honesty i think it adds an extra dimension for the fan, very creative, very enjoyable.
I'm looking forward to it, and im thinking Alexander will try and turn this into a bit of a brawl.... in my opinion thats his best way to win. But im not sure if he has the tactical awareness to do this, and i think he might give Bradley to much respect....
Bradley on SD
It'd be a debate you'd lose.
Depends, Bradley is quicker, throws more and will some from different angles with more variety. So i can understand his point.
It's the punches you don't see that hurt the most. Sure, Maidana is a stronger puncher but he is slow and you can see them coming from miles away. So, against a guy like Khan he really isn't going to touch him. If Khan had good footwork and a better defense Maidana would of never got to him and that's why I know Khan isn't elite because Maidana did get to him. If he fixed these things he would beat Bradley but since he hasn't that's why Bradley will be a dangerous puncher against Khan.
Bradley will be faster than Maidana and has the footwork to come in on better angles and touch Khans chin with shots he can't see. He might also make Khan respect the inside game so much so that he will be so focused in on trying to create space that his already leaky defense, leaks even more. Bradley just causes so many more problems to Khan than what Maidana does. Khan might not be kayoed in the fight but I certainly think he will be knocked on his ass. I have no doubt that Bradley is a more dangerous puncher to Khan.
excellent post.
So hard to judge his character sometimes, you read some of the utter Sh*t he comes out with on his twitter account and think he must be the biggest knob in the world..... Then he does something such as this. Keep off the twitter and i think people would start to like him a lot more...Well done Amir a very nice thing to do and shows he is still the same kid we admired so much when he was 17.
Any opinions on this?
has anybody else joined up to back the idea?
Will be a better spectacle than many of the other Prizefighter competitions as these guys will leave there heart and soul in the ring to get that cheque, and also the title of being "Britains best Journeyman"
There are some pretty big names in the group and supporting this idea now, Tyson Fury, Enzo Calzaghe and Tim Witherspoon are all signed up.
We need numbers to make this happen, to show Sky tv this is what we want to happen. Lets make the fan matter for a change, and give these hard working and unsung heroes the big pay day they can only dream of. If the likes of Audley Harrison are allowed to earn £1,000,000 fighting, surely we can support these guys for a shot at what would be a life changing £32k.
Thanks for your time
Ricky Burns win is the most impressive for me, nobody in there right mind gave that guy a chance and rightly so. Massive performance and a massive upset.

Why stay inactive? A fight between Khan and the winner of Bradley-Alexander probably won't happen til late summer atleast... and I'm not shure but I think they have a rematch clause in their contract too. So it's better for Khan to take a stay busy fight... Would you rather he stay inactive for 6 months and maybe more?
x2 for sure
LOL I support him in this, they said he had the flu but anyway.
This award is a DISGRACE by the DISGUSTING BBC who have marginalized sport in this country.
The fact that a jocky is our best "Sportsman" and a darts player is the second best is absurd.
The beautiful, talented athlete Jessica Ennis deserved to win.
Personally i thought Lee Westwood was a worthy winner, but yeah Jessica Ennis would have been good.
I just dont see what the problem with Haye not bothering is, BBC do nothing for boxing and havent for a very long time.
Theres no way GBP are putting Ortiz in with Khan yet, they wanna build that boys bollocks back up a bit first. Peterson is a good boxer, probably under-rated a little bit after the Bradley loss, so im pretty pleased with this match up.
BBC does nothing for boxing but guys like Haye dont help the image of the sport in this country.
How does he not help the image? The only boxing star bigger than Haye in this country is Amir Khan, and i bet Khans PPV numbers dont come close to matching Hayes.
That's just great. Please give more opinions about fights you haven't seen.
or you could just watch the clip he posted to make his point? rather than be a tit.
Referees and officials have a hard job to do and can get things wrong under pressure, anybody would.
Haye ducked Sports Personality of the year he didnt bother to turn up and finished last with just 7000 votes, just show that British people are not fooled by Haye.
1. Tony McCoy 293,152 (41.98%)
2. Phil Taylor 72,095 (10.33)
3. Jessica Ennis 62,953 (9.02)
4. Lee Westwood 58,640 (8.4)
5. Graeme McDowell 52,108 (7.46)
6. Tom Daley 50,763 (7.27%)
7. Mark Cavendish 44,170 (6.33)
8. Amy Williams 43,056 (6.17)
9. Graeme Swann 13,767 (1.97)
10. David Haye 7,538 (1.08)
I'm glad he didn't go, fcuk the bbc, they do nothing for professional boxing in this country.
has there ever been a more one sided poll on this forum????
Did you think he was on PED's when he was looking dog****e against RJJ? or does he only use them sparingly? like an on and off type of thing?
to the OP, Back up your comments or STFU, nothing pisses me off more than people who cant accept a good performance. Hopkins had Pascals number, Pascal is fortunate he's good enough and awkward enough to score the KD's that saved his arse on the cards.
I think Bradley would handle ricky quite easily, even if he hasnt got power hes in his prime and has got tonnes more boxing skills and craftiness. I dont even see that as close, ricky wouldnt be able to man handle him..
Devon alexander would be an interesting fight but i'd still back Devon to KO him late or in the middle rounds, just because rickys totaly over the hill and aint got it on him anymore.... He aint the force he once was, (i dont think)he cant push people around like he used too... I remember Lazcano rocking him !!
I think Khan would oblitirate him.. too much speed and skills, rickys too one dimensional and shot.. He'd just walk onto punches... Easy work for Khans style...
Maidana would probably be the closest fight, a bit like the Urango fight... Thats if Rickys the fighter he once was which i highly doubt!!
Rickys done... His whole emotional makeup has been destroyed, as well as the rehab, blowing up in weight, sniffing loads of coke, and the public shame...
Key phrase........... in his prime.
I actually think a prime Hatton would beat a current Khan, Ricky is a pressure fighter with a better boxing brain. He maybe doesn't have the power Maidana posseses but he would use his attacking arsenal far better by working the body early and slowing Khan down for the later rounds.
We have to bare in mind Khans prime is still probably 24 months away and he still has major defficiences that a top tier guy can expose. At present i dont see any top tier fighters at 140 only potential, and i think Ricky exposes all of them, the toughest fight coming against Maidana of all people due to his damn ruggedness and ferocity, Hatton was never afraid of a scrap and could defo get caught.
Ortiz isnt even a question, Ricky would possibly make him cry mid round.
Clifford Ettiene - the only boxer ever to be "out cold" and yet still manage to take out his F*cking gum shield during the count.
the sight of that still sickens me to this day.
Johnny Nelson = decent boxer ........... **** pundit. Wlad has a chin similar to khan, in the sense that he can be hurt, or even K'od but he always has the heart and desire to try to get up...to dispute that is silly.
gunna be a chess match, heart says Haye, head says not.
