wait wait wait!
Eddie Hearn says it will cost Quigg Millions of pounds? Thought the Frampton fight wasn't that big and Quigg was only gonna get around £400,000??? back tracking much! Now you see why Frampton didn't take the 1.5million Eddie you moron!
oh good another Amir Khan news article! I wish he would shut up! has he not realised he probably isnt getting the mayweather fight cause he talks about it every 2 seconds?
Did Hearn underestimate how much Haymon was going to bid? Seems like it would've made long-term sense and been worth the extra cost to have bid above 3.1M.
Hearn bid something like 2.1 million which he thought would win, he has already stated that they couldn't believe how much the other bid was, neither could James DeGale, DeGale said he was disappointed when he heard Eddie hadnt won then he told him how much his purse would be and he said he didn't care anymore.
DeGale to win for me, 8 rounds to 4. He isn't the same fighter who fought Groves!
I like Warrington, but his fans are absolutely wild. Taking your top off at a boxing fight? Stick to the football! There is also a good interview with George Groves who was talking about the Smith vs Abraham II weigh in saying he hopes Warringtons fans who traveled to Germany don't get bashed up cause they were acting rowdy.
What makes it worse is Eddie Hearn encourages it, think he was trying to emulate the atmosphere Frampton had in Belfast when all the commentators said they had never heard a crowd like it.
Well his biggest paydays would have been when he was world champion. He's lost his title and will struggle to earn the amount he was getting paid as a champion. So what you suggested doesn't really add up as Burns value has plummeted after his last 4 fights. If they were doing what you suggested he'd have done it when he first signed with Hearn
Frank Warren owed Burns £150k for the Mitchell fight, money which Burns will never see as FWP, the company who owe Burns, has been liquidated. Burns left Warren because he wasn't getting paid properly, which is fair grounds for wanting to leave.
Frank Warren also approached Burns 15 minutes before a fight, when Burns had his hands wrapped up and gloves on and presented him with a contract extension saying "if you don't sign this now, you don't fight". Real Don King type shady shît.
Hearn's used Burns but at least he paid him and hasn't liquidated companies to avoid paying fighters.
It's not even the first time Frank has done it. He creates companies, employs himself as a director, takes his salary before paying everyone else and when the money dries up without being able to pay everyone he dissolves it without there being any liability on himself to pay the debts. He then starts up a new company and does the same. He did it with Sports Network and FWP in recent years.
How he's allowed to do that is crazy. The British Boxing Board of Control should have taken action a long time ago to prevent this and protect the boxers.
Surely if you liquidate a company you are unable to open a new one??
Anybody recall when Haye had broke his hand, he went to visit Amir khan in his dressing room before the Salita fight (may have been Mccloskey) and he took his cast off in front of them and Roach told him there was a camera in the room and he snapped his cast back on. For anyone to believe Haye wouldnt fake an injury is crazy!! Did he cut his eye?? Dont doubt it for a second
where is the youtube video for this?
I have been a big DeGale fan from the very start of his career, he wasn't always the most professional outside of the ring, but there is no doubt that he can fight. Kessler would be a great fight however what has he got left in the tank??
Dirrell would be his best option, rocky fielding?? surely not. huge step back for him.
Though I am also on the side of Froch that he should get to pick and chose who he fights at this stage of his career.
As soon as Froch is out of the picture DeGale will be the one everyone will be after (lets face it Ward isn't gonna fight before my 30th birthday...)
:lol1:
Less than zero.
Why less than zero? Ortiz now doesnt have a fight and he looked well out of his depth against floyd in the rounds that he survived.
