Olympic bronze medallist Anthony Ogogo (7-0) is potentially going be out of action for the rest of the year.

The talented middleweight underwent Achilles surgery in September, hoping to correct an injury that's been plaguing him since the 2010 Commonwealth Games. In a stroke of bad luck, he was forced to have a second surgical procedure and now he might be out of the ring until 2016.

After going pro in 2013, he was pursued by several promoters but signed a promotional agreement with Golden Boy Promotions.

Ogogo has been out of action since last July's stoppage win of Wayne Reed.

"I'm now left with two new Achilles and I've got to build them," Ogogo told BBC Radio Suffolk. "Eventually they will get up to the capacity where I can fight, train and become world champion."

"It's about how my body reacts now. "There's no reason why it shouldn't work. It was a much bigger job and two or three days afterwards I was in less pain than I was the first time. I can't wait to get back in the ring and start punching people."
