According to Mick Hennessy, promoter of Tyson Fury, the mandatory fight against WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is heading to a purse bid. Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) has been chasing the shot against Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) for some time.

The two camps have been talks, with no agreement reached and Hennessy says the date and location is more than likely going to be decided by way of a purse bid. Team Klitschko is going to bid heavy, as they rarely lose a purse bid involving Wladimir. If Klitschko's team comes out on top with the winning bid, Hennessy believes there is still a good chance the fight will happen in the UK instead of Germany.

"Right now the fight looks like it's heading for a purse bid," Hennessy told scribe Nick Parkinson. "There's a big case for it being held in the UK and big money for it, so I don't know if it will happen in Germany just because it might go to a purse bid. I think the fight could happen any time from September to November."
