Barry’s Lee Selby has become the latest British fighter to sign an advisory deal with Al Haymon, the powerful U.S. fight mogul. The 28-year-old Welshman joins recent signees Carl Frampton and James DeGale, although long-term manager Chris Sanigar will still remain on board as his manager.
"I'm delighted to have signed with Al Haymon and I'm looking forward to boxing in some massive fights ahead," revealed Selby in a statement released earlier today.
"I'm also pleased to continue with Chris Sanigar, who's been with me since the start of my pro career. It's exciting times ahead and I can't wait for my first world title defence."
Selby (21-0, 8 KOs) picked up the IBF featherweight world title courtesy of a Technical Decision win over Evgeny Gradovich in May; he will now leave the details of his first defence in Haymon’s hands.
