Between Crawford, Spence, Thurman, D Garcia, Porter, an aged Pacquiao and now maybe M Garcia its a very good crop of talent. Once its said and done who do you see as the top at 147.

What if M Garcia moved up to fight T Crawford first. How do you see it going?

Obvi Cotto is leaving and that most def sucks but between the fighters at 147/154/160 I am pumped about all the possibilities. Personally I'd love to see Lara vs Charlo at 54 Thurman vs Spence 147 GGG vs Canelo 2 at 160 Then after all that the 154 winner could get to the 160 winner even if they do catchweight ( which I hate catchweighta but for fights like that I'd make an exception) Then at 147 we can see how well Crawford fares their after his first few fights and between The 3 at 47 I mentioned we still have Porter/Danny Garcia/Lamont Peterson. I'm just so pumped general public is getting back into it as well. So who would u wanna see at those weights? Any comments?

When I fought as an amateur there were a few fights I saw at Golden Gloves and Olympics where one guy got totally screwed. I have seen myself how difficult it is for some judges to see what happens during an inside exchange or any exchange for that matter when the ref and at least 1 fighter whose back is to the judge making it difficult for them to gauge who landed the harder shots. I'm not saying that's the only problem w boxing judges but if we would let them watch on TV monitors without any commentary that would certainly be a step in right direction. But no clue how to fix this bigger issue known as the shady side of it such as Managers/Promoters having an influence on judges ( which for those of you not aware has been proven on numerous occasions s w Don King, Top Rank although it was t Arum who was caught but a high up in company. And I have no doubt that Golden Boy is pulling some shady maneuvers as well specially for Canelo. Not saying Canelos fault but IMO he got a gift vs Laura, somehow won or at least was a draw on one scorecard vs Floyd, and GGG fight I had GGG winning but I'm ok w a draw however we all can agree Canelo didn't win 10 damn rds) If anyone has any ideas or agree or disagree w my thread plz comment.

I've always been very intrigued by the "Dream Fights" when you match one Decades top vs Current Top. In this case I'm saying best MW of 80s vs Best of last 5 years Marvelous Marvin Hagler vs GGG. I would have to go with Hagler only because he has been proven over some of the All time Greats ( I know Duran was a small Mw, Hearns was his first fight at MW I believe but I still think Hagler deserved victory over Sugar Ray L.) GGG won against Canelo in my opinion by 3 rds. He squeaked out a win vs Jacobs but I def thought was right decision. So imo GGG has riven he the best 160lb alive at moment. Not to mention how he steam rolled vs everyone else he fought till the #2 and # 3 but he still DESERVED the W in both. So who would you go with? I have Hagler in tough 12 rd fight via dec.

This fight has me beyond pumped I understand it could be boring but as a fighter Us led just seeing the footwork of both and the timing of Rigo and angles of Loma has me Just psyched for this. I'd love to know who you guys are picking. I personally think Loma size will play difference and win the fight

First I thought Lara beat Canelo 115-113 but def was close Canel did win against Cotto but more like 116-112 or 115-113 def not the scores they had Then he somehow had a judge give him a draw vs Floyd Now he had a judge give him a 118-110 in GGG fight How or why do judges constantly give him gifts? It has to stop

I personally believe that would be 2 of the most skilled fighters of today getting i. The same ring. I can't remember the last time where 2 unbelievable boxing talents of this caliber fought in their prime. I am usually pretty good at picking winners of fights since styles make fights. But with this one I keep flip flopping on who I think will win. I would like to see them face to face to see the size diff bc if Loma is significantly bigger than Rigo then that answers my question. Any thoughts ?

I have always been a huge Cotto fan from the moment I first saw him on one of the undercard a for a PPV back in 2003 or so . I'd love to see him go out against a big name for his last one but like RJJ said I dont think he should go to 160 for. GGG or Canelo fight. I wouldn't mind him staying at 154 and either facing one of the new young top Welterweights or taking on one of the Charlo twins or Lara at 154. I know Charlos and Lara not very big names except for hardcore fans but a win vs any of the people I said would be a great way to go out for Miguel.

I know rigo said he would be in for a catch weight fight vs Loma but I don't see that happening however if it does happen that might be 2 of the most skilled fighters I've ever seen getting it on in a very long time. But I think I'd rather see Loma vs Garcia now that Mikey is back and looked great this past weekend. I think Mikey's size advantage would play a role in it but it's a tough fight to predict

I know Lara has a fight coming up but I still believe he beat Canelo a couple years back and since e Canelo isn't fighting GGG anytime soon ( by the way Lara calling out Golocking too). If you agree with me about a Canelo Lara 2 how do you see if going ? I'm taking Lara by decision

I have always said that obviously styles makes fights. When Castillo got screwed against Floyd in their first fight he fought exactly the kind of fight you need to beat him. Which is to say get him on ropes and unload on arms/body/head basically anything he gives ya. Now you can't tell me b4 Cotto got his career derailed at the hands of that cheater Margarito that he wasn't the best and biggest threat to floyd. I think Manny is too small( especially reach). So if the unlikely event that may weather returns I'd love to see a Cotto rematch with roach in Miguel Corner this time.

I keep reading all these articles about how ward supposedly is all f a sudden overrated. How he was given a gift against Sergey. First of all that fight could've gone either way. I actually had it a draw ( And I'm a huge Ward fan so I don't show bias). But anyways getting back to my point unless you're a boxer yourself you can't appreciate the craftiness/timing/ring IQ that someone like Ward has. He won that fight. Cause after rd 4 he made it and Andre Ward fight. And for those of you who said he was holding all night. Watch it again Kovalev did just as much or more holding that night bc he knew Ward would own him inside

I have always thought Cottos prime was at 140 and first few years at 147. But 140 is where he made his name by dismantling opponents w his Left Hooks. That being said Crawford is a beast at 140 right now and keeps impressing me. Who would u have winning that if both were in prime at 140? Personally I think it could go one of two ways. Crawford out boxing and stick and move for 12 rds or Cotto getting that aggressive style he had at 140 and drops him in late rounds Any thoughts?

Don't get me wrong I'm a die hard boxing fan and watch all fights since I was a golden gloves myself but we all have our favorites. From 1999-2006 my favorite fighter was Winky Wright, since then it's been Miguel Cotto, now that he will prob retire in one year I'm thinking Crawford or Ward ( gotta stick with the USA boys for a change)

I have seen him in 3 pro fights and highlights of olympics. He looks good but obvi a lil green still ( like All pros are so do t think I'm talkin ****). But I was just curious from those who know him well. Is he the real deal or a Michael Grant?

So who do you think will reign supreme when all said and done? Personally I can Never go against Ward bc his boxing IQ and skills but if Kovalev would be #1. I wouldn't be totally shocked.

There is a crazy crop of just freakish talented, naturally skilled people right now in boxing. So who is most gifted Floyd/Rigondeaux/Lomachenko/Ward. Feel free to add someone if u want to make a case about someone else. These 4 are just the ones who stick out to me more than most when it comes to God given talent. My pick is Rigodeaux. I have been watching a **** ton of the Rigo training and he is absolutely insane. Too bad he will never get bigger popularity bc of Arum and his fighting style doesn't appeal to "main stream" only real boxing fans

I am a big fan the level of skills I see in Rigondeaux and Lara. It's a shame they will never be main stream attractions ( especially Rigo) because of their fighting style. I say that bc Rigo might just be the most technically skilled/gifted/talented fighter I've ever seen in my life. Of those 4 ( I know Russell and Loma already fought but I think it could b great rematch) if they have some kind of a 4 man tourney, which is very possible bc they all one weight class away from Rigo. ive just rarely seen a fighter KO so many people with that same shot. Whether Body or Chin if he lands left hook flush the end is usually near. I haven't seen such a dominating L Hook since probably David Tua most recently. But there were many before that Joe Frazier/Joe Louis/Mike Tyson, lots more. But do you think Cottos left is as devastating as those others?

I was curious what 5 fighters you think have best weapons in boxing In my op in no apart order: 1- Klitchko ( Riight Hand) 2- Cotto (Left Hook) 3- GGG ( Overjand or straight right) 4- Matthysse ( same as GGG) 5-Kovalev ( straight Right & power jab)

I have heard Arum say Haymon is holding it up then Ellerbe says arum is holding it up. Is there any chance the fight is off in the next 11 days or is it for sure on?

I keep flip flopping on how I think this will go. Kovalevs power is absolutely insane and he has good boxing skills to go along with it. On the other hand Bhop has always done great against power punchers who come at him all night. I've had a lot of trouble this fight trying to decide who I am going to pick. I am going to go against a majority of the boxing writers out there and pick Kovalev. I think he will win going the distance.

I think sat nights match between Hopkins/Kovalev is the 2nd or 3rd most anticipated fight for me this year. When trying to predict it I cant ho but go back to Pavlik and Trinidads fights bs BHOp both were in their prime and undefeated power punchers. I think Kovalev has more skill that Pavlik and prob more power ( for his weight class) than Trinidad. But BHOp always seems to nullify fighters strength when it's power punching. That being said I have never seen someone KO a guy with a jab to the body like Kovalev has twice. And his skills are pretty impressive throughout his career thus far. If I had to put money on it is probably go with Kovalev via UD. I just don't see anyone KOing Hopkins. He's way to smart of a fighter to let himself get knocked out. If he does feel Sergeis power he will go into survival mode much like Mosley did vs Pacquaio.

I was having this discussion with a friend. He was saying the obvious 140/147. Def can't really argue with that since most of today's big names are around 147 but I think. i would say toss up for 147-160. 3 of the 4 biggest PPV names are at 154: Floyd, Cotto ( I know he 160 but he really a jr me) Alvarez. Then we have a big number of very talented fighters at 154 and 160 has obvious entertainment w GGG, Cotto if he stays, Quillin, Danny Jacobs. I think all those guys are fun to watch. More entertaining fighter from 154-160: Lara, Charlo brothers, Andrade, Kirkland, just very fun fighters to watch
