I have always said that obviously styles makes fights. When Castillo got screwed against Floyd in their first fight he fought exactly the kind of fight you need to beat him.
Which is to say get him on ropes and unload on arms/body/head basically anything he gives ya. Now you can't tell me b4 Cotto got his career derailed at the hands of that cheater Margarito that he wasn't the best and biggest threat to floyd. I think Manny is too small( especially reach). So if the unlikely event that may weather returns I'd love to see a Cotto rematch with roach in Miguel Corner this time.
Roger unfortunately can't even walk or talk straight anymore and his vision has deteriorated cuz of diabetes, it was only a matter of time before Floyd would've had to replace him.
Miguel Cotto does very well moving forward, his style is very effective against boxers/movers who don't have so much power, Cotto got outboxed from the get go till the 5th, then he really picked it up and Floyd was trying to sit down because he knew if he put enough power on his shots he can break Cotto down and eventually stop him, he does that in a lot of fights where he boxes and move early then sits down late when the opponent punches himself out, Cotto gave Floyd that poker face throughout the fight and Floyd sat down too early, he should've continued to box till the 8th or 9th then sat down more.
Floyd also claimed that he caught a cold before the fight maybe that was a factor in the fight, maybe he choose to sit on the ropes more cuz he couldn't breathe right, maybe that resulted in the bloody nose that made things look much more dramatic.
To ur point though, floyd put it on him 1 through 5 AND 9ish through 12. Cotto had 3 or 4 rounds in which he was competitive. ..outside of that it was not close and he's lucky to have ended on his feet.
Check the scorecards, cotto was virtually shut out the 1st 5 rounds, and was completely shut out the last 4.....do the math, it's not even close!!!
It's like the Lakers losing to the warriors by 25 and saying they deserve a rematch because they played them close in the 2nd quarter. It's a bad argument, you still got your behind kicked!!!
Neither cause neither won more then 4 rounds they don't deserve a rematch. I would of however liked to see may pac 1 in 09 but that's a different story.
What he said.
The only fighter may should come back for is ggg, but the weight difference makes it an un fair advantage whereever they fight.

I agree with you about Rogers health. Floyd himself admitted he took too much punishment against cotto and stated he needed to make changes.
Floyds post fight interviews negates your beliefs of what happened. Check out the last 24/7 or all access episode.
fair enough if you disagree. i had it 118-110 myself though however, agreed with the judges.
Agreed we can disagree. I had it 7-5 Floyd. But 2 rounds were so incredibly close that I would never agrue my score card as definitive. 8-4 is fair and 9-3 can certainly be argued for.
My point is that most boxers get embarrassed cotto didn't. He lost but he looked like he belonged. He wasn't outclassed Floyd won by sweeping rounds 9-12 and that was purely a conditions issue. Better training with better conditions and cotto surely does better. Will he win? Don't know, I'd like to find out.
He did better than pac did and I reality is the only boxer that has the chance to beat Floyd. No one else stands a chance.
Cotto was trained by an amateur coach and gased out after the 8th round. Cotto with roach and his current conditioning coach gives Floyd bloody hell. Floyd him very self said cotto was his toughest fight. He even ditched roger as his trainer and went back to his father as his primary trainer due to the punishment he received. This is not me talking I'm quoting Floyd himself.
So to answer op's question. I'd like to see Floyd v cotto 2. That over pac and anyone else out there. Every one has no chance against Floyd.
And anyone who mentions ggg is getting red k'd straight up.

The scorecards for mayweather cotto were 118-110, 117-111 x2. IN what way on earth does that deseve a rematch? Was a really easy nights work for mayweahter, dont know where the myth that it was a close fight comes from, seen a few posters saying that now. Mayweather fought one of his most offensive fights cause he was so comfortable in there with cotto, was no threat to him whatsoever.
Those cards didn't reflect the fight I saw.
Case In point them Vegas judges gave Canelo and absurd score against Floyd and I recall Canelo not winning a single round. Thus score cards are not helping your argument
who the hell wants to see Floyd-Cotto 2 ???

No, but people always ignore the fact Floyd was not in his prime when he beats these good fighters
I haven't they were both on the decline but Floyd is a smarter fighter. Cotto went life and death with everyone.

come on now..Cotto made him fight, he had no choice
Point I was making about Castillo thing is Cotto is a stronger/more skilled version of Castillo.Just think if Cotto prime wasn't cut so short. maybe he wouldn't have won or maybe he would've but in my opinion his style is the best for a guy like PBF
you do realize Floyd wasnt prime when he fought Cotto right?
