I personally believe that would be 2 of the most skilled fighters of today getting i. The same ring. I can't remember the last time where 2 unbelievable boxing talents of this caliber fought in their prime. I am usually pretty good at picking winners of fights since styles make fights.
But with this one I keep flip flopping on who I think will win. I would like to see them face to face to see the size diff bc if Loma is significantly bigger than Rigo then that answers my question. Any thoughts ?
I think they are equally good for their weight and age. Loma's age advantage and naturally heavier weight will win the fight for him in my opinion. He might win by KO. I have heard nothing new about the fight being made or not.
Small edge goes to Loma due to size and youth. Rigo is slightly past it, but he is the bigger puncher. And he seems to fight at the level of his opponent. Against a guy like Loma, we could see a boxing match that's unbelievably special.
After the Press Conference with ESPN it sounds like it was official and Arum yes Arum was hyping that fight talking about fighters with 2 Olympic Gold Medals fighting each other has never happened before so that is a GREAT way to Promote that fight!
... I didn't find anything more recent:
No confidence on their ESPN #1LBxLB at all. I hope if is going 2happen it gets done soon. I am on a rush 2fix that infamous ESPN LIST.🇨🇺🥊🇺🇦 pic.twitter.com/8nubN8Oe4o— Guillermo Rigondeaux (@RigoElChacal305) August 24, 2017
From what I heard, it was finalized for December 9th. And it's 50-50 for me at this point. Rigo can flat out box, but Loma can too and he's going to be the much bigger guy in the ring.
I always picked Rigo in that. Loma can't do the things he does to Rigo without getting clipped bad. The fight at 130 makes me wanna change my prediction to Loma though...
