There is a crazy crop of just freakish talented, naturally skilled people right now in boxing. So who is most gifted Floyd/Rigondeaux/Lomachenko/Ward. Feel free to add someone if u want to make a case about someone else. These 4 are just the ones who stick out to me more than most when it comes to God given talent.
My pick is Rigodeaux. I have been watching a **** ton of the Rigo training and he is absolutely insane. Too bad he will never get bigger popularity bc of Arum and his fighting style doesn't appeal to "main stream" only real boxing fans
That's what kills me the most, it doesn't require much thinking at all. On top of that, Ward has more punch variation than Rigondeaux.
And he had been fighting with a tear in his right shoulder so his right hand was underutilized. He's clearly right below Floyd in terms of skill with the other 3 being a distant 3rd.
rigo didn't need to fight inside to completely obliterate and embarrass a prime donaire. and beat up his face like this:

rigo would school floyd if he was a 147lber.
Donaire can't fight inside either. He's a counter puncher with limited offensive versatility. His style is perfect for Rigondeaux.
Rigo has yet to face a great inside fighter. Hell, Lara's level of opposition in terms of facing a variety of styles ****s all over Rigos.
Not a big fan of Rigo. I think he's a good fighter but Roman to me is better than Rigo. I really, really like Gonzalez as a fighter.
What will Rigo's legacy be? No one knows who he is outside of boxing hardcores. He has never stepped in with anyone THAT special. And Ward has greatly damaged his legacy through inactivity and BS in my opinion.
Floyd has taken all comers and beat them in dominating fashion. Simply the best fighter in decades..
Rigo and Lomachenko can't even fight inside. How can they be more skilled than Floyd or Ward that can doninate a fight from any distance.

Floyd, ward and Rigo are all on top of that mountain in terms of being the best and having ATG skill and ability. Loma hasn't had enough fights. I think it's just a personal problem, but I hate how narrow his shoulders are. I just hank bigger guys will always be an achillies heel for him.
Floyd, and it isn't even close. Floyd is a more complete fighter than any of the guys on the list.
Lomachenko is very talented, but he still has a lot to prove. He's improved as a fighter (Just compare him in his debut fight against Ramirez to him in his fight against Piriyapinyo), but he still lacks an inside game. But, he has great skills, and is only going to get better as he gains more pro experience.
IT's Floyd by a wide margin. No offense to the other fighters but all of them combined haven't done what Floyd has done as a professional.
You are comparing a 38 yr old Floyd with all of these men. Think about that??
Rigo 34 himself

We're talking about talent right? Rigo.
Overall it's Floyd cause he seems to work harder than Rigo outside the ring, Rigo still smokes for example..
I know Lomo works as hard as anyone though. I have it in terms of TALENT... Rigo>Floyd>Lomo>Gonzales>Ward
Look at that speed and power!
I don't know how you could pick anyone other than Mayweather. Rigondeaux, Lomachenko, and Ward are way behind.
I actually like Lomachenko. I think he has the best opportunity to be a boxing star.
Floyd the most well rounded of the bunch, imo.
I'm gonna say Rigo for a distant runner up but will agree he has some flaws. Ward could well be argued the next runner up.
Those guys are nowhere near as talented as many in these forums like to believe they are. Although very good they are not of Floyd's caliber.
The closest thing to Floyd is Rigo but Rigo doesn't have the accolades to compete with Floyd and he is very chinny which is always a huge flaw. Loma has great speed and fundamentals but he has shown his susceptible to overwhelming size and pressure. And Ward has is one of the most complete fighters in boxing (behind Floyd and Rigo) but he lacks the athletic gifts of the very best in boxing. I'm not sure how successful he will be if he moves up to 175.
Floyd is still above all the guys listed.
I dont see how Ward is in any way behind Rigondeaux, that's fucking ridiculous and I say that with respect.
They are all very close to even except Ward who is not in their class and doesn't belong with that group in my opinion. Ward is good but the rest are much better. Gonzalez is the best and Mayweather, Rigo and Loma are a three way tie with Mayweather is probably the second best after Gonzalez because he has so many great wins and no losses. In the short time they have been pros Rigo and Loma have shown amazing skill and potential. Ward is not good enough to be in this group. He holds and wrestles and illegally holds and hits and gets away with it because he fights close to home.
I don't care how dirty you think Ward is, he knows how to hold his own up close and he's defensively responsible at all times. On top of that his resume shits on most of those guys.
