Vasyl is too easily hittable, and doesn't have enough power to keep them off of him. He gets KTFO by all 3, maybe Rigondeaux takes it easy on him.
Gary Russell Jr. landed 10% of his punches... how exactly did you come to the conclusion that Lomachenko is 'easily hittable'?
Theres a reason why Ive always hated your boxing opinion. Ive never seen anyone as confident with so little reason to be.
He's been ducking Lara for years and when he realized he couldn't find a credible opponent he was basically pushed into a corner.
Oscar De La Hoya even came out and said if he was in charge he wouldn't have made this fight because he didn't like this fight for Canelo. He thought it was too dangerous.
I'll applaud Canelo for taking it, but if he could avoid it for someone like Victor Ortiz he would. He just felt the pressure and had to take it.
Not a fan of Devon but he's willing to step up and fight the top guys and I always respect that.
A fight with Thurman will be a great test for both fighters and will tell us where both of them stand. A fight with Khan would also be an intriguing fight. Hopefully they can make them happen.
Lomachenko clearly won rounds 1,5,7, 10,11 and 12. That's 6 in the bank already.
I gave Gary rounds 4 and 8. But those were not clear cut rounds. I gave the rest to Lomachenko. Although even if I split the other 4 'close' rounds, Lomachenko still wins the fight 8-4.
I had it 10-2. At worst 8-4 for Lomachenko. It was a beautiful performance.
I thought Price has shown improvement in his last 3 fights. The knockdown against Pala, that Warren was referring to, was definitely more a slip than anything. Price wasn't hurt he got back up and proceeded to finish Pala easily. Price is using his jab a lot more, he's becoming more calculated in his approach and he hasn't lost a single round.
I would definitely take him to defeat Chisora, who hasn't looked that great in recent fights. Running into punches head first, engaging in slug fests with lower tiered opponents. I expect Chisora to lose to Fury again and then Warren's going to be begging for that Price fight.
Virgil Hunter gives the worst advice ever.
He just told Angulo he looked good and Angulo looked at him like "are you serious?"
Under Virgil Hunter, Angulo hasn't done anything. He's not a great fighter to begin with but Virgil hasn't done anything to try and improve him.
Most overrated trainer in the game right now.
Hopkins is still a +215 underdog in this fight. I thought it would shift considering how many high profile boxers, and it seems the majority of experts, are confident in a Hopkins victory.
Andre is much more skilled than his brother. Yet his brother is the one fighting for the world title against Bika and Andre is fighting his brothers leftovers.
Andre is probably the biggest waste of talent in boxing.
Remember when we wanted to see Dirrell/Ward?
Well if the moons line up in the same year, maybe their one fight a year dates will line up
"The fight everyone's been waiting for" - Said no one ever
I'm lit upset that Rigo would take this route. Someone with his class, having won two gold medals, shouldn't try to win this way. Especially against an already overmatched opponent that he could have taken out whenever he wanted.
I wouldn't rank him that high. Did you watch his last fight? Was a minute away from losing a wide UD against a guy who wasn't that great, when he pulled a come-from-behind KO.
And I like him.
The first time I watched the fight I thought Stevens needed a KO to win.
But then I rewatched the fight, and then watched Connor Reubuch's analysis on badlefthook, and the fight was a lot closer than it should have been. Stevens was doing a lot of good work on the inside that he wasn't given credit for. Johnson had a hard time establishing range, he would put Stevens on the ropes but he was so close to him that he could only hit his arms.
I think if they rematched Stevens would ice him again.
I'm gonna laugh my ass off if Russel beats Lomachenko. A fighter should not be getting 2 title shots in their first 2 fights. I don't care how good of an amateur they were. It's a slap in the face to all the fighters fighting for the top spot.
and it's going to be even funnier if Loma wins.
This is a great fight with two young prospects. Kind of a cross roads for both.
Good fight coming up. If Jacobs blows out Fletcher I'll be very impressed. Fletcher is a good test for Jacobs. Probably the best fighter he's faced since Dmitry Pirog.
The poll results are hilarious.
I think Garcia catches up to him and takes him out in round 5 or 6. Salka will be moving a lot in this fight and he will likely force Garcia to move forward and try and cut him off.
Peterson should stop Santana easily.
Jacobs vs. Fletcher could be an underrated fight. That's the one I'm actually looking forward to.
Damn that was really bad.... But this clip really shows how talented he was/is.
Dirrell wasted about 4 years doing nothing. Now his brother (who is a lesser fighter) is the one fighting for a title shot.
I thought he was a good fighter, and he still is a good fighter (not a great one), but I also thought that a big part of his success had to do with him fighting smaller opponents.
We saw what happened when he started fighting opponents 'his size'. He didn't look as dominant.
