I won't lie that for a second after Demarco I thought ok this guy is going places, however after Rees I changed my mind, but point being I did fell for the hype for a time being.
Yes. I didn't think he was the next Mayweather or anything but I thought he would be really good.
Same here. Never thought about the Floyd part, but I did think he was P4P top 5 material.
I never said pakis have no heart. I said khan is a p aki (not lnown for good boxers) and has no heart. Some one said calazo had none and i simply pointed out that PRs have lots of heart in the ring. Nice try, but try agin. And besides, i dont go out of my way to slam south asian fighters every time someone mentions ones name, nor do i jock latino fighters just because they are latino. Again nice try but your comparing apples to cucumbers
Point being P@ki is a racial slur.
Yeah and this is coming from a guy who said Collazo has a heart cuz he is a Rican from BK and Khan has none cuz he is a P@ki. You should take your own advice it seems.

It is possible that he could come back, most of all legends have lost and some even have devastating lost as he did to Maidana.
Anything is possible, I wouldn't count him out that he can still be great one day.
I never fell for it.
I always knew he would be in trouble with a big puncher.
As much as he was getting hit with punches from Gavin Rees and Paulie I told people that if they had snap, Broner would be in trouble.
But nooo, the fan boys said he was allowing them to hit him because he knew they had no power.
I always knew he was defensively weak.
Never fell in to the hype.
During the PDL fight I realized he was very limited.
His gameplan of laying on the ropes trying over and over to land his check hook wasn't very impressive.
we get your hidden agenda and quite frankly it is getting old. we get it you ....hate a certain ethnic type, deal with your fear and hatred and try and become a better person, because as of now you're a failed human. :boxing:

He was never over hyped to the point of a GGG or Kovalev type. In fact he had a lot of haters from the very start. I remember when people were making fun of his drawing power but look at him now. Broner never had that much hype behind him, it's just that people wanted to make a huge deal out of him losing so it seemed that way. If it was anyone else that night against Maidana, they would have been labeled a warrior for going all 12.

Learning Methods & Techniques from a very good trainer and getting in condition physically & mentally are two different assignments.
Broner has the talent and skills to compete on a high level but developing a ring IQ is different from having an adult approach to ones life.
Now we'll see what Broner is made of, coming off a defeat is the ultimate test for all fighters. If he wants to be a top flight fighter its his time to grow up.
Ray.
I thought he was a good fighter, and he still is a good fighter (not a great one), but I also thought that a big part of his success had to do with him fighting smaller opponents.
We saw what happened when he started fighting opponents 'his size'. He didn't look as dominant.
I'll be honest. After the Demarco fight, posters here had me worried that ghetto dweeb Broner was going to be the new big attraction in boxing. Last thing we need is a guy more obnoxious than Floyd being the fountainhead of the sport. Thank God for Maidana's not-give-a-fuck approach in the ring :boxing:
Now we can all enjoy the epic Broner Be Like... Thread
