I'm noticing that is anybody questions Manny, they get attacked. But is it not human to suspect a fighter who refuses drug testing in this era (The way Manny/Team Pac refused).
I'm no PED expert, Dr or pro boxer. But I am a 25 year boxing fan, so i know a lil bit about the sport i love.
I've watched Manny since the blonde streak days, been a fan from then on. But what I'm not a fan of is how the refusal went down, all the reasons/excuses just made me pause for a second.
I'm told that "I don't know anything about how PEDs work" & "If Manny was juicing, he'd have gotten caught by now"...
Well the first part is kinda true, but It has made me a lil curious on the suject so I looked into it.
So can any of you just answer just 3 questions........
1. What are the charicteristics of HGH, EPO......?
2. Does Manny display any of these charicteristics....? (Mind you, don't say Manny has always displayed this or that. Mind you, I've been watching him as long if not longer that most on NSB. And Manny has definatly kicked it up a few notches).
3. If the way Manny has evolved is not by the use of any PEDs, what else could it be....?
We bash Barry Bonds for basically doing the same thing Manny is doing, is it a nationality thing? Or do you just hate Floyd sooo much that anything he says is dismissed and you just wanna see him beat regaurdless of how.
Not a hate thread, just trying to get how him/Bob Arum refusing testing in the PED era gets a pass...
I've never put anybody on ignore nor have I ever done the corny red k thing, but I have yet to get any solid answers. Just emmotional, I love manny, I hate Floyd posts...
Anybody wanna be honest?
Then you need to STFU...
What do mean?!?!
Manny is ducking Martinez at 160 and Marquez at 135 for their lineal belts, at the same time! WTF!
The standard the haters want Manny to adhere to is lunacy at best.
did you know that the ppvs that manny and floyd sell are what funds the "free" fights you got to see last night?
For a finance guy, you are pretty stupid... HBO is a premium network.
Then you have sponsors, copyrights and live gates. Yes it's "free".
im not defending him. im saying dont judge people when you dont know what went on. i dont know what went on nore do icare because its between him his baby moms and the justice system. defending him would be me saying oh he had reasons to hit her she was wrong no i said he is only accused of hitting her idk what happen. but thats the difference between manny fans and floyd fans. manny fans take it way beyond boxing. no floyd fans are saying well manny cheats on jinkie and prob has bastard kids out there. because its non of our buisness and we dont care
LOL, last time I checked, Manny cheating on Jinkee means he is a PED user...
Manny having an illegitimate child is the same as Floyd beating his baby-moma and threatening his kids... smh.
LMAO...yeah...Manny's resume objective sounds like this...I'm currently seeking slow, no jab, no head movement, none slick, looked terrible in there last fight, fighters. I will not face any of them at there weight class but make them drain themselves to make sure I get the victory. But I promise I will look amazing and some might be tricked in thinking I'm the best ever!
Hiring Employer:"Sounds good", NOW just take this test and I will pay you around $40 million...
Manny: Well, I get weak when I see needles, and I'm scared of needles, and last time I took a blood test I lost, and its against my religion, and I don't speak english very well. Ok...I'll take the test but I need a window of opportunity...Oh, I mean...I don't speak english very well.
I KNOW...sounds stupid and childish...but thats exactly what Pacquiao said...
it was more like,
Hiring Employer (HBO):"I don't know why your dance partner won't dance with you, go find another partner and I'll pay you half..."
Damn, so what is that saying about Pacquio that he lost to a past prime Morales?
And people think this man is better than Floyd? LOL!
It means Manny was still green at the time.
Now, if Floyd would have the same sentiment as you do, we would've seen this fight already.
Whats funny is that fatty looked like he didn't want any trouble, because a real ***** would've pummeled that dude on the floor.
true, he seemed like he just wanted to scare the guy by smacking him a few times.
If he would've poked him in the face, that would be battery...
Word up, I wonder how somebody just gives up and submits like this? What happened to him as a kid that he just gave in like a puppy. You gotta feed of your anger and go for broke.
Because he is an e-thug, keyboard-warrior, internet-gangsta...
I didn't catch what he said about him and where online...
Seriously, I don't touch anyone. I don't even like being in crowded clubs and bars.
guys have become such sissies.
I once OBSERVED a guy get shoved and he called the police.
Was he talking to a Japanese girl? if she knew who Floyd is?
It really isn't arguable, in case you did not know, Barker went 11 rounds with a top pfp fighter in the world. Competitively. Margarito's last good fight on an elite level was Cotto in 2008 & it is controversial due to him being caught trying to cheat against Mosley in his very next fight. Your trying too hard & owning urself. Barker fought well, better than expected on the world class level on saturday, period. Margarito hasn't since 08 Fact.
Plaster-less Margarito went 12 rounds with THE P4P #1 fighter in the world and didn't get KO'd, unlike Barker.
What is your argument again?
Thats right all yall was screaming at the TV yelling. Going nuts.
Floyd survives that and dominates him and now Shane was shot.
NSB for you.
After 16 months layoff, I was skeptical of Shane's performance.
Round 2 proved he wasn't shot and that this fight is a legitimate win for Floyd.
A KO from Floyd would've made it all time great fight for him.
Still doesn't prove that PBF beats PAC, Floyd wouldn't have made it out of that round if that was Manny in the ring.
Yeah i would love to see the fight with or without testing also but am sure the guy getting hit in the face cares enough though about whether is opponent was taking whatever.
Wasn't last night's fight proof that Floyd can take a PED user's punch directly in his face?!?! and still win every rounds after? sounds like easy work to me, nonetheless.
this is effing awesome. if NSAC passes blood testing and manny doesn't fight floyd, even the pactards better admit it was manny who ducked floyd.
Fair enough, but if Manny accepts the drug testing and Floyd prices himself out with a 60/40 or higher, would you also admit that he is ducking?
That was at first, now alot more of the boxing community are on board after Pac turned down a possible 40 million over a test, its gonna get worse, more and more commission will require it to be mandatory. Would you turn down 40 million to give a little blood? Surely sometime in your life you let the doctor stick you in your arm for free.
I really don't understand why people insist on using the bolded line to justify why Pac should take the test. You are not Pac or Floyd, that type of money is new to you, of course you'll jump thru hoops to get in on that.
Lets scale that down to where you are in the corporate food chain. Lets say you are making $50k/yr and you are a top employee in your company. Now your boss calls you in and tells you that you are too smart, more so than others. He wants you to take an aptitude test to guarantee you are not cheating or else he won't pay you anymore. While the rest of your peers doesn't have to take this test and you are being singled-out.
For $50k/yr, would you put your integrity on the line after you are accused of being a fraud? Would you take that aptitude test so you can keep your salary while your peers don't have to?
If it was me, a middle finger would be in order... then a resignation, followed by a lawsuit. I would take a less paying job where they appreaciate what I bring to the table rather than question my intelligence.
hmm, that sounds like what Pac did...
Shane did it to Floyd in just two rounds then gassed out. Pac can do that to him in full 12 rounds until he folds.
^this...
You don't get that those chances with Mayweather that often, its rare...
I believe Pac would be the only repeat offender inside 12 rounds.
haha, so thats your excuse?
Yes, it happens... Guys would cheat on their wives but won't take a penny from an open safe. The divorce rate backs up that claim that marriage is not what it used to be.
no shit guy but dude is saying he wouldnt CHEAT like hes such a "stand up" guy. hence why i brought up his CHEATING on his wife. with all those lies coming from him and his team about why he couldnt take OST, i tend not to believe LIARS and CHEATERS
so you try again. and once more time, its good to see you arent responding to my posts ha
Could it be that he loves Boxing more than his wife???
But please continue how marriage is still above everything else and explain the 50% divorce rate.
This isn't Watergate, stop having an over-inflated opinion of your hero. Second, why would ANYONE want to nail Pac by bringing out the emails? Really, how stupid are you? Who let's go of leverage? Not everyone kicks their ball over the fence just because things aren't going their way. And your last statement says it all. They practice responsible journalism right? Ok then. Watergate...Jesus Christ.
So you're basically saying that we'll never know??? that you would go on happily with your lives bashing Pac without evidence???
I for one, would like to know the fact/evidence if my so called "hero", as you put it, is clean or not, rather than being told otherwise by bias internet experts like yourself consistently.
Yes, responsible journalism... hence why the article was printed with a disclaimer that it was second-hand information. And that there's no follow up, since it's a dead source. It would be irresponsible of them, to continue chasing a dead source would it?
Are you on crack? Why would Smith out his sources? It would take a court order to do so and, in case you didn't notice, Team Pacquiao didn't have the balls to sue him. Let that soak in.
If that's the "evidence" that will nail Pacquiao to the cross and send him home without his accolodes, you bet your ass it'll come out...
That's like uncovering the Watergate scandal... the memoirs, the publicity, the $$$.
Yeah, 1 article from the Daily News, presented as second hand information (third for Atlas), without a follow up means Daily News handled it internally.
As crappy as NY Daily News is (I'm from NYC), they still practice responsible journalism.
Could it possibly be, for whatever reason, that Roach's second excuse (too good) is a wash for the first excuse (not a draw)?
You don't get to insult a man like Mosley in person and gets to live another day...
I read that quote over and over and all I get out of it is Roach trying to put Mosley down as easy as possible, the second excuse is merely trying to flatter Mosley.
Who ever said that Cotto was more money and is the better choice is the most likely scenario.
The trial is at August? A good defense lawyer can stretch the trial.
And even if he is found guilty, the sentencing can be also delayed.
I think Roger will make it by November for the fight. Training schedules would be another story though, I can see the court dates interferring with training unless they work around it.
So he didn't want the fight to happen before?
He did want it before, is just that his compromise wasn't enough for Floyd.
Now, he gave in a bit more to appease Floyd so the fight can happen.
Naw, I have come to the realization that Team Pacquiao has compromised their precieved values to the public, and has now caved, and appeased to Mayweather Demands.
So now the question is how more far is Team Pacquiao willing to cave, appease, satisfy, and pacify to Mayweather's Demands.
I don't understand why you are concern over PAC submission to PBF's demands, it's clear what PAC's intentions are (make the fight happen).
Why don't you make a poll on what ELSE would PBF ask for that will NOT make this fight happen.
I think you mean he wanted it before but Floyd's compromise wasn't enough for Manny. But now Manny thinks Floyd's compromise is enough. In other words, he wasted everyone's time the first go-around.
I wasn't referring to Floyd, but rather Manny, so my initial statement stands.
If you want me to refer to Floyd, then he shouldn't have made a demand that KILLED the fight to begin with, but that argument has been beaten to death so don't bother addressing it.
His demand didn't kill the fight. Is that why Manny and his team are begging though the media? Actions always speak louder than words, my friend.
I agree, like saying "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
It all depends on the fighter you are putting under the microscope.
I'm looking at Floyd's, and it's saying a lot...
Before the fight I had respect for Yuri's footwork and evasiveness, now I have respect for his heart and courage.
Before the fight, I'm not particularly impressed with "slicked" boxers... One of the many reasons why I'm not a Floyd Mayweather fan. I wanted Cotto to beat Yuri to a pulp, but after this performance, I give him props and will continue to support his fights.
This guy is still young and have a great future ahead of him. He could've quit 3x, 2 slips and 1 towel thrown, but he decided to continue and took a vicious liver punch for his troubles and finally was dropped legitimately for a TKO.
Excellent fight, will watch again!
Tygart: "We chose not to blood test closer to the fight than we did because there was no need to do so"
That puts an end to all the bull now about testing up till the day of the fight. Now if the head of the USADA says its not necessary to test within 18 days of the fight, then clearly 14 days should be sufficient.
I posted the same quote on another thread, I don't get it either...
This OST was supposed to PWN Manny and his refusal to submit to no cut-off, but all I see is that USAD shot themselves in the foot...
I would've not cared if they at least tested for urine every other day, their presence would be the true deterrent.
65mph limit, but motorist still go beyond that... put a cop car in a speed trap == noone speeding...
Heres a few pics of the jackass

I'm sure floyd is just shaking in his boots :haha:
This guy is a striker, so PBF doesn't need to worry about take-downs that much.
With that said, any striker in MMA will not stand a chance with PBF... Octagon or Ring, Kicking or straight-up boxing.
This guy is not even worth PBF's attention, only BJ Penn is worthy in the 155lbs division, but he lost his last title defense.
