Right now, Manny is considered by many, including all the experts and analysts to be ranked higher as an ATG compared to Floyd(dont bother arguing this, it has been done a million x before).
If Flloyd beats Pac while he is on his peak, im sure he will instantly shoot higher than Pac and other ATGs, especially if he beats Mosely convincingly.
So i think if Floyd cares about his legacy at all, he should drop the demands that he wants and fight Pac, which i think he is the favorite to win if it happens.
They both need this fight. I think Manny looked foolish for not taking those drug tests that Floyd asked of. Especially after that hefty fine Floyd agreed to if he was to come in overweight.
However, with that, if both boxers are clean the test results would've shown up negative. Now if there's any PEDs, HGH, Xylocaine being used by either fighter, those USADA tests would have a greater chance at picking those up then a normal piss test would
Sorry to say this, but Pac is scared of Floyd. And scared to take any test that will find more than just what the U.S. State Commissions screen for. OST ain't no joke, they will find any junk you've been using!
Fail, how come no result of xylocaine usage report did i hear yet?
Were you trying to say this is just a sham test as it is quite documented that it was really used by a certain boxer?
Plain and simple Flomos, Flyod and his drug testing request cant be trusted, since its been run by DLH/Mayweathers, and we all know Flyod cant be trusted and will always find a ways to have any advantages. Hell look at whats happening with Mosley now, How many times has Mosley been tested compared to Flyod? Get back to me on this when you find out. Im sure someone is getting advantage and its not Mosley!!
Floyd is making two to three times as much in his fight against Mosley as Pac made in his fight against Clottey. Floyd's legacy is set. Those who believe he is a great fighter don't need to see him fight Pac to support this opinion. Those who don't think he is a great fighter never will regardless of who he fights. Floyd needs pac like I need a urinary tract infection.
If legacy means the most money, then i agree Floyd is set. But legacy is how most people will remember you as a boxer. Its who you fought and beat. Not really who you lost to if you are going to give the the 40-0 BS.
leave the drug testing to the state commissions, that's their job and they already have rules in place. a fighter's role is to fight in the ring and entertain fans and not police other fighters.
I'm glad you brought up legacy.... lets talk about that for a minute.
If you had to choose your legacy as a fighter..... which would you choose?
One fighter (regardless if he is considered amongst the all-time greats in boxing) will be remembered as one of the best fighters in his era, for making a fundamental change that improved the sport of boxing and benefited all fighters to follow. He will also be remembered for the fight that didnt happen.... for never fighting one of the best fighters of his era because the other fighter didn't think additional testing to clean up the sport was necessary.
OR
One fighter (regardless if he is considered amongst the all-time greats in boxing) will be remembered as one of the best fighters of his era and for never facing one of the best fighters in his era. He turned down the opportunity because he didn't agree with additional measures that were just begining to take place to clean up the sport. He was suspected of being an unclean fighter but nothing was ever proven. He went on to fight others that didn't require him to test and ended up leaving the sport at the exact same time that the sport of boxing was cleaning out fighters using PED's use to protect clean fighters.
History alone will judge....... Its pretty clear to me what leagacy I would choose.
Like I said all you Floyd fans say that it is going to be a stigma, BUT IT IS NOT GOING TO BE. Roy Jones a proven steroid user is still considered the best of his era. The only shit on his resume is that he never really fought top level competition till late in his career. You guys keep bringing up these baseball examples but none in boxing.
Mayweather is the biggest name, sells the most PPV, makes the most money, is going into the biggest fight of the year...yet TS says he needs Pac more????? really?!
Not talking about money dude. I know thats what floyd says he focuses on, but im asking about his legacy as a fighter, who he fought and beat.
I must have missed something. Is Manny Pacquaio fighting for free?
Manny is not the one saying he is the greatest ever and that he is making all this money and that. its Floyd.
Lets stop arguing about whose fault it is why the fight did not go through. its been done a million times here. Iva heard it all "Why would pac follow floyd he is not commision.". "Is pac is innocent he would take the test". STOP THE SHT.
I still think Floyd should drop the odst request and fight Pac. It would be bigger for him.
Nobody cares about rankings, bottom line is more people pay to see Floyd fight than they do Pacquaio. After Pac pulled the stunt of not taking the drug test, I said this fight will never happen and I dont think it will.
Crikey. :pat:
And anyways, PBF should just forget about Pac already. That fight won't happen. If he beats Shane in a competitive fight, a rematch may be in order. If he wins one sidedly, Berto is credible, though a step down. He can go for a 2nd title at 154 if he doesn't retire after Mosley.
facts about urine/blood test for other substance
No doubt Pacquaio, but Pacquaio wont take the tests, simple and plain, no fight. Better question is why would a man turn down 40 million over a simple drug test, guilty.
'can't blame you with your opinion, bro. manny did not turn down the 40M fight because of simple drug test, in fact, he was willing to have unlimited drug test by urine samples. he does'nt like blood sample because it weakens him (idk why?).
for everybody's information, urine or blood samples are just the same body fluid that you can detect any substance (PED, drugs, roids, etc..) present on it by using the correct reagent depending on the substance you want to detect. you may ask a chemist what are these reagents for, or try to google it.
in other words, what ever substance you want to detect from the blood can also be detected from the urine using an specific reagent.
Same thing, its about money for Floyd right?
Who can he fight that he can make the most money ever by any athlete in 1 day?
I must have missed something. Is Manny Pacquaio fighting for free?

If Floyd really wants it to make it simple then why demand the blood test?
Is he really scared to fight just because of a hunch?
:dunno:
That was at first, now alot more of the boxing community are on board after Pac turned down a possible 40 million over a test, its gonna get worse, more and more commission will require it to be mandatory. Would you turn down 40 million to give a little blood? Surely sometime in your life you let the doctor stick you in your arm for free.
I really don't understand why people insist on using the bolded line to justify why Pac should take the test. You are not Pac or Floyd, that type of money is new to you, of course you'll jump thru hoops to get in on that.
Lets scale that down to where you are in the corporate food chain. Lets say you are making $50k/yr and you are a top employee in your company. Now your boss calls you in and tells you that you are too smart, more so than others. He wants you to take an aptitude test to guarantee you are not cheating or else he won't pay you anymore. While the rest of your peers doesn't have to take this test and you are being singled-out.
For $50k/yr, would you put your integrity on the line after you are accused of being a fraud? Would you take that aptitude test so you can keep your salary while your peers don't have to?
If it was me, a middle finger would be in order... then a resignation, followed by a lawsuit. I would take a less paying job where they appreaciate what I bring to the table rather than question my intelligence.
hmm, that sounds like what Pac did...
Mayweather is the biggest name, sells the most PPV, makes the most money, is going into the biggest fight of the year...yet TS says he needs Pac more????? really?!
Floyd doesnt need Pac, because Floyd is content with his skills, he feels he's better then anyone... Pac on the otherhand is tryin to live up to what people bill him as thus, he will fight anyone, except Floyd because Floyd holds himself and his opponents to higher standards, and Pac didnt wanna live to that standard!
Right now, Manny is considered by many, including all the experts and analysts to be ranked higher as an ATG compared to Floyd(dont bother arguing this, it has been done a million x before).

Floyd turned down the rematch with Oscar because Oscar still wanted the bigger portion of the purse, even after Floyd already beat him. Its funny the only people who dont think Pac should be tested are Pacquiao fans, as a fan of boxing you would think everybody would want every boxer to come into the ring clean and not rob the boxing public thinking that boxer is this great specimen when in reality he wouldnt be if it wasnt for drugs.
False. What really funny is, flomos like you keeps on pushing this accusations w/o any valid proof. Everyone in here is tired of this BS.
There was no other boxer suspected of it that he was facing before Pacquaio. Again whats the harm? Only a guilty man talks/behaves that way, what is there to hide?
Yes he did look a bit guilty. But like i said, even boxers who have been caught red handed are not hated because of steroids. Its really on for those baseball players.
It would do wonders for people who have a low opinion of floyd if he beat pac.
Im not a Pac hater, but am discouraged he wouldnt take a simple drug test. Again, would you turn down 40 million to not take a simple blood test?
Im discouraged too. Im a huge pac fan for a long time. I dont think he is on stedoids but i honestly wont be shocked if he was.
Your question though does not apply to any of us. Because i would fight Pac and Floyd at the same time and they even could take steroids for 40m.
How about you? If pac offered you to fight him for 40m? no osdt? Would you have said no?
