Mike Tyson's resume kinda reminds me of the same reason people like to **** on Calzaghe. Meaning all the big names on his ledger are of old fighters on their way out. I would argue Holmes is his best win but it was a Holmes close to 40. Yet Mike Tyson always gets ranked so highly in Hw lists when he really fought a lot of bums in his prime along with old guys and a former light hw (spinks). This one has to be the worst imo. Absolutely disgraceful. Victor Ortiz - quit against Maidana because Maidana was too much man for him. Even though it looked bad at the time, in hindsight it doesn't seem so bad because we now know Maidana is a certified killer. Andre Dirrell - quit against Abraham because his legs gave out, then quit boxing when it was time to fight Ward. Feel free to add more quitters to this list or make your own altogether.

That turned out to be a much better and more entertaining fight than Bum Bradley vs. Bum Alexander. In fact, this Billy Lyell was not a bad fighter. The problem was that he was just so much smaller than Gran Vaca and couldn't really hurt Dinero, but outside of that he was pretty good and was not there to lay down. I think Gran Vaca was pretty disappointed because he went the distance with Lyell, but he shouldn't be upset since Lyell turned out to be pretty good. It really rescued my night to finally see a good fight last night.

This is pre Pac era JMM in his natural weight class of 126 against the rugged journeyman Marcos Licona. It was a great display of JMM's ability so I would recommend the whole fight if you wanna see pure mastery. For the sake of this thread, just skip to 8:30.

Just watched the Lucas fight and Corley showed unbelievable heart and professionalism here. Amazing grit and toughness. He kept that poker face the entire time during a tremendous beating by Mathysse. Here is the full fight in case anyone missed it.

A lot of people seem to have amnesia when it comes to JMM/ Barrera and forget about the pre-meditated shot Barrera threw at JMM when he was down. This is significant for 2 reasons: 1) It negates any point Barrera would've got for the kd, so all you people saying Barrera got robbed a point could finally shut up. 2) Barrera very clearly planned it because he looked at Marquez while down, cocked his hand back, thought about releasing the punch, and then release the punch with full force. Barrera did this because he was throughly being outclassed and embarrassed by Marquez and he hates when he's being humiliated in a fight. See Hamed and Pacquiao fights as well where he cheats and fouls them when they're showing him up. Abraham by contrast was throwing the punch as part of the action because Dirrell was running like a *****. There was no premeditation on his part and you can see it in the time sequence which is much shorter than Barreras foul. The ****ed up thing about all this is that people really seem to remember AA's shot which was a rightful k.o shot and forget Barrera's foul which was a premeditated crime. Not only did he make Cotto come in at 145 while forcing him to fight for his WW title. But he was on PEDS to boot effectively cheating him 2x. If I was a Cotto fan, I'd want a rematch at 154 with ost's because everyone knows Cotto would win in a fair fight.
