Why the **** should Haye fight Chagaev?

Haye should go after Vitali Klitschko instead as it looks like this fight is dead for now, and Vitali should be available between August and Haye's planned retirerment in October. But the main difference between these two fights is Haye's chances of a knockout would be much slimmer against Vitali, and I highly doubt that he could win a decision.

Chagaev was a beast until Wlad kicked his ass and his disease ended his run as a world-class fighter. There's no "should" or "shouldn't" here, Chagaev is Haye's mandatory. You fight your mandatory or you vacate the title.
